This beautiful authentic log cabin Bach offers panoramic views of the bay and will have you relaxing in no time. A great sized section with petanque court and native planting that attracts kereru (Wood Pigeon), piwakawaka (fantail) and Korimako (bellbird) for a lovely morning chorus. The Bach sleeps 10 with room in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms for a stretcher or port-a-cot if needed (not supplied). The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom is a large mezzanine with a queen bed and 4 single beds. Great indoor-outdoor flow to a large deck with views of the bay and perfect for a classic kiwi BBQ (provided) or watching the sun go down. There is an upstairs deck looking out to the heads which is a great place for a relaxed breakfast. There is a dish washer and washing machine available (please bring your own washing powder/detergent) and a heat pump to keep you warm. So much on offer in this stunning location with the beach and jetty just a couple of minutes walk and a longer walk out to the heads or a monument accessible right from the front door. It is also just a short drive to Akaroa, Purau, Pigeon Bay or Diamond Harbour for some further afield exploring. There is limited / no cell phone coverage in Port Levy, so this is a fantastic place to escape from technology and truly unwind. We love that our batch has no TV and we enjoy wonderful days and evenings of games and socialising with family and friends.
Linen isn't provided so please bring your own.
Some pets maybe accepted. Please ask a question to discuss.
NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Leave the cabin clean and tidy and do the dishes before you leave.

Beautiful location ! We had an awesome family time at the log cabin . The deck , amazing huge yard and the view were all perfect for a chill time away .
The location was absolutely wonderful, so peaceful and beautiful. It was difficult to get to, as it was half an hour to the nearest town on twisty mountain roads. But it was wonderful when we arrived. The sea was lovely for swimming and the wildlife was great.
The cabin was a great getaway, we really enjoyed our stay there. Awesome view out to sea, relaxing on the deck with a drink while using the bbq was nice. The kids loved the easy walk to the beach and the tree swing, and had a great time playing with the friendly neighbours cat. You have a treasure here, thank you for allowing us to stay.

Thanks Reuben. Glad you all enjoyed it. We think it is a very special place and we are happy when guests get that too.
Happy Christmas.
Kind regards
Mandy Grenier.
We loved our stay at this gorgeous spot. Plenty of room for everyone and the house was well equipped and so cute and quirky. We loved the deck and back yard, and the short walk to the beach.
We had a lovely stay over the long weekend. The house was well set up for two families. Comfortable, warm and with a beautiful outlook. Good location for walks and close proximity to the beach.
Beautiful authentic accommodation in a stunningly beautiful area. Restful and relaxing, but options also for the sports-loving and adventurous.

Kia ora - My name is Celia and my mum Mandy owns this awesome bach. My mum lives in Kaiapoi and we live in Christchurch and love being able to escape to Port Levy as it's so close to home. My mum's husband is Canadian and earlier on in his life he use to build log houses so there was an instant attraction when this place came up for sale. We have had many family gatherings here and mum loves having the grandchildren over to enjoy their childhood's the way she remembers growing up.
What makes this property unique
No wifi and no TV. This is a real traditional, get away from it all break - and you deserve it!!! Life is so busy and so scheduled these days that being able to truely unwind and be present with the ones you love is so special! This bach makes memories so come on over to our little slice of paradice.
