About this property

The Convent Family Beach House

Positioned in the heart of Jan Juc, just 100m from Bird Rock and the sensational surf beach and very close to cafes, shops and medical facilities. A classic, comfortable and inviting beach home. The house has two levels with four bedrooms and two living areas. There are two outdoor areas, front and back, BBQ facilities and undercover parking for two cars.
Bedrooms: Four bedrooms, two upstairs and two down, three with queen sized beds and the fourth with two sets of bunk beds. The master bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom and separate walk in robe.
Bathrooms: two large bathrooms and one extra toilet. The ensuite upstairs has large shower, toilet and double basins, the downstairs bathroom has a large bath, toilet, shower and vanity. The third toilet and basin is upstairs.
Kitchen and living: Large kitchen and dining area complete with quality appliances. Large living areas, one on each level with LED TVs, DVD players and stereo. Polished timber floorboards downstairs, carpet upstairs.
Outdoors: Large, secure outdoor areas. North and south facing, decked outdoor family meals areas, undercover parking for two cars and grassed areas ideal for the kids. Outdoor shower.
Heating/cooling: Gas central heating a 3kw solar power system, three reverse cycle air conditioners and pedestal fans.
Plenty of toys, books and Dvd's for all age groups.
Locally:Across the road from Swell cafe. Great walking/ bike track along coast to Bells beach, Torquay and beyond. Skate park, adventure playground, tennis courts and ovals within 500m. Torquay golf course and RACV club within 1km.

Strictly no parties allowed. Noise disturbance will not be tolerated.

Minimum six-day bookings during peak periods after Christmas and at Easter, otherwise minimum two-night stay.
Pillows and doonas provided, but not linen. You will need to bring sheets, doona/duvet covers and towels.)
Prices are set for 8 adult guests. Extra charges apply for extra guests up to 10 adults in total.

Great location!

House is great for a group, close to the sea, coffee and restaurants. Had a lovely time walking around and looking at the sights enjoying ourselves. Restaurants in walking distance are top quality.

Weekend away with friends.

My friends and I had a very relaxing weekend. We did not need to drive anywhere. The house was great. Very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Close to the beach, coffee and Hotel for dinner. A great environment all around.

Spacious family holiday home with everything you could need

There was plenty of room for all of us with separate living areas and plenty of outdoor space. The noisy kids could be despatched upstairs or outside to give us some peace. The DVD’s, games and toys were appreciated and well used. The kitchen equipment was pretty good aside from the usual poor quality / insufficient knives grumble for holiday properties. I’d probably also add one or two more mid sized saucepans if it was my house. The one main thing letting the kitchen down was the rickety dishwasher. The bedrooms were all at a minimum a good size and the master bedroom is huge with a lovely en-suite. The laundry facilities were essential for a beach holiday and the hot outside shower is brilliant.

Excellent location and spacious

Had a lovely weekend away. House was in prime location close to so many things. Clean and neat house. Spacious enough for two families. Kids had ball with the toys and things to do around the house. Will be coming back to this house. Only thing I would suggest is toilet brushes in the toilets other than that everything else was great.

Family friendly and great location!

We had a wonderful stay at 'The convent family beach house.' It was very spacious which was handy with 2 little kids and had lots of amenities for the little ones (toys/dvds/cot/high chair). Was in a fantastic location, walking distance to cafe/restaurants/park/surf checks/bird-rock pathway), and was only a short drive into Torquay. Meaghan was a fantastic host who supplied us with great local information and was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definately stay here again.

Great property for a weekend

Several of us have been making a weekend pilgrimage to Jan Juc and Bells for several years now, and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Very clean, modern amenities, and close to the beach. Great owners to deal with made this an enjoyable stay.
