About the host

Host profile image
Grant and Trish had been enjoying coming to Invy for family holidays for over 30 years with their four children and assorted friends, and they finally decided to buy a house there that they could use and share with others. They love coming down at all times of the year and enjoy swimming, reading, relaxing, spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee, walking and finding shells on the beach. Grant is a wonderful musician and enjoys playing the piano. Trish quite enjoys art and has some projects around up on the walls.

Why they chose this property

We had a list of things that we wanted in a holiday home that included: being an easy walk to a patrolled part of the beach, a safe beach for children, easy to look after, good for grandkids and grandparents alike, and plenty of space. We also wanted a court location so kids could ride bikes safely, and we wanted easy access to a larger grassed area where people could play cricket, kick balls, or just run around. The house ticked all the boxes, and the covered outdoor area and enclosed garden was a bonus.

What makes this property unique

Staying at our house is more like staying at a friend's place rather than just staying at a typical rental property. The kitchen is well equipped, there are basic staples in the pantry available for use such as flour, spices, oil etc., there's a well equipped picnic basket in the pantry cupboard ready to go with all you need , there's washing powder and first aid supplies in the laundry, there's a piano and guitars to use if you want and there's plenty of toys and games. There's boogie boards, balls, beach shelters and buckets and spades to use as well in the garage. We want people to feel at home and have a great time!
