Wilderberry is a spacious, contemporary, cottage for two people who wish to enjoy each other's company in beautiful surroundings. Set amidst 7.5 acres of open fields and woodlands, guests are assured of total privacy and seclusion throughout their stay.

LOCATION
2 hours by car from Sydney & 2.5hrs from Canberra, Wilderberry is just 5 minutes from the centre of Berry village in scenic Broughton Vale. This is the wilder side of Berry, under the Illawarra Escarpment and home to platypus, lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas and kookaburras. You'll arrive via lush, green pastures dotted with grazing cattle and thoroughbred horses.

ROMANCE ON TAP
Make a toast to each other with our complimentary wine and chocolates on arrival.

Luxuriate in the sumptuous two-person tub with views across the garden courtyard up to the escarpment; just magic at sunset!

Bathe in Wilderberry's pure, soft rainwater - a truly healthful 'spa' experience with no toxic chlorine or mozzies to spoil the fun.

Enjoy the eco-friendly toiletries provided or bring a few of your own. Bath robes are provided.

COTTAGE COMFORTS
Passive-solar design and double glazed windows ensure a comfortable stay all year round. Summer or winter you can easily control the indoor climate with your choice of fans, air-con, slow-combustion wood-heating and bathroom/towel heater.

Chopped wood for the fire is provided in Winter months.

Sleep like a baby in the comfortable King bed with high thread-count organic cotton sheets. Feather or foam pillows, cotton or wool blankets plus a doona for winter. Pure bliss!

There is undercover parking adjoining the cottage and dry entry, if raining.

GASTRONOMIC DELIGHTS
Cook up a feast with the Bosch gas cooktop and electric oven. Add a few fresh herbs from the kitchen garden, throw open the wide front doors and dine under the stars. Let the dishwasher take care of the mess while you settle back and watch a movie. Or you may feel like venturing out for dinner at one of Berry's many fine dining establishments. A hamper of breakfast provisions is available for purchase at the time of booking. Your breakfast goodies will be waiting in your fridge for you to prepare and enjoy whenever you like. Hamper-for-two contains: fruit in season, muesli, milk, organic farm-fresh eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, butter, local artisan bread and jams.

For coffee lovers, there's a Nespresso machine with a range of regular & decaffeinated capsules, Twinings fine teas and fresh milk are supplied as standard.

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage or on the verandahs.

Wilderberry is not suitable for children or pets.

Wilderberry is a secluded gem hidden away, yet still only a short drive from Berry. The property is outstanding with 180° views of the surrounding bush, and every comfort thought of by host Damon. If I could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness I would.

What a lovely place to stay! Very comfortable and well equiped. We stayed on some of the coldest nights of the year so far and it was lovely to sit beside the fire and enjoy the solitude! Beautiful stars and close to Berry and the attractions of the south coast and Shoalhaven. Definitely recommend.

Slice of heaven

Absolute perfection. Everything my partner and I were hoping for and more. Beautiful scenery and surroundings. Peaceful relaxing vibe with frequent visits from kangaroos and kookaburras making it the perfect little getaway.

A beautiful relaxing retreat

We had a lovely stay at Wilderberry. The cottage is done with quality in mind, a true adult retreat. The bath is spectacular and a true way to relax even watching the kangaroos from the bath. The cottage has everything you need but a quick drive into town for a fantastic choice of places to eat. Unfortunately we had a lot of wet weather and didn't get a chance to lay out on the deck, maybe next time. The wet weather can't be helped and we still really had a great time. I would highly recommend this beautiful place.

Amazing time away

My husband and I absolutely loved our mid week getaway to Wilderberry. It's such a gorgeous property and the house has everything you need for a romantic time away. Waking up to birds and trees and relaxing in the giant bath was everything we needed. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful place!

Comfort, Amazing Scenery, Intense Calm

The studio has everything you could need for a couples retreat. The scenery is breathtaking and the quiet and calm an elixir to any city folks over cooked nervous system. The house is situated in a valley and positioned perfectly allowing a 360 degree forest view with cliffs tops and wildlife to arouse your curiosity. Yes a lyrebird was spotted in the nearby forest. The fireplace makes for a nice romantic touch. I look forward to returning .

Wilderberry is all it says and some

Just a beautifully appointed cottage, remote from the Berry town centre and adjoining properties. a private stay, but only 10 minutes back to town. An easy drive just south of Sydney took the scenic coast road down and back via Kangaroo Valley and Berrima - what special country.

Beautifully relaxing anniversary weekend

We loved everything about this property! The attention to detail is just wonderful, from the deck chairs for star gazing to THAT bath tub! What a lovely first anniversary it was. Our only suggestion would be a spa on the balcony would make the evening skies even more magical. For anyone staying, there are a couple of sheds / storage areas around the property, none of them are close and we didn't see any people coming or going at all but just thought it worth a mention in case anyone is expecting absolutely zero properties around. Still ridiculously private and we loved every minute of our weekend away.

Wilderberry deserves a very high rating. Credit goes to the two owners for creating such a wonderful property. Attention to detail is second to none, both the structure itself and the interior finish. The owners communicate very well and booking was prompt. And top marks for providing a folder with full details about the property and also booklets on how to operate every appliance in the property. We could not fault the property at all. Congratulations! Perfect getaway!
