A great cottage, within walking distance of lovely restaurants, and easy access to the centre of town. Spacious and comfortable rooms… in a beautiful old building. A joy to come back to after a day of exploring.
Beautiful heritage home filled with everything you could possibly need and then some. Great location and good value. Would definitely recommend any would book again
Smooth and easy check in.The house itself is a wonderful experience, like jumping back in time (a great source of story telling for children) but still having all the modern nicety. The proximity to North Hobart, the CBD and otger Tasmanian adventures was absolutely priceless.
Lovely well appointed house in an amazing lication
The house is great - historic, clean, comfortable and very thoughtfully appointed. It was so good to stay in a house with so good pantry supplies. The location is great with lots of cafes and restaurants within a couple of blocks.
Eliza cottage was a great house for our adult family coming to Hobart for a wedding. Close to great coffee spots, the Crescent Hotel and room for a pony ( the Bob Brown Pizza). Ogee was a stand out round the corner and Providence one block away. The house provided all the things we needed! A taste of Tassy colonial history!
Excellent location. Near restaurants, walk into Hobart.
Great house for our family of 6 within a stones throw of dozens of restaurants, bars, cafes and a walk into the main part of Hobart. The tired rear entry where you collect the key doesn't do justice to the lovely, homely place within. Lots of lovely touches like a welcome basket, extra toilet paper and a pantry with all of the basics was most appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Hi Annette - thank you for your lovely review and we are pleased that you will stay again in the future. The rear of the property and the driveway will be undergoing some changes over the next few months to make it easier for guest to access. Kind regards Lynda
This is a large cottage only footsteps away from some great North Hobart restaurants, 20-30 mins walk to town.
We were greeted with a bottle of wine & basket of goods for breakfast. The pantry had all the condiments & extras you could need.
The place is full of books & games - the personalities of the owners are here - very different from the sterile hotel type environments that you often see in accommodation these days.
I am not a fan of the third party verification and extra charge for something (breakages?). But, apart from that, check in and communication were smooth.
Would definitely stay again if I wanted to spend some time in Hobart.

Lovely Place but>>>>>>>>>>>
Very cluttered and this helped catch the dust. We actually had to dust in the bedroom. Terrible bedding. The back door lock is wonky and takes forever to lock and forever to unlock. Wouldnt want an emergency. Garden is unkempt and the drive way has a concrete hassard amongst the weeds and guess what I tore a tyre and now have that expense. There are positives but its in my humble opinion an overrated property. We couldnt believe how bad the matresses were and actually considered sleeping on the floor. Maybe we are too particular as this place only boasts positive comments.
The house was pretty good. It is old & smells a bit musky. There is only the one bathroom and toilet. No air conditioner when it was quite warm the days we stayed. The house is on a bad bend which made it difficult to get out of the driveway. The driveway is very narrow & only room for one vehicle. The front presentation i.e. garden, needs some work/cleaning up. The rear yard also requires a bit of work.

Hi Grant - Thank you for your kind review and your comments are very much appreciated. There is air conditioning - under floor heating/cooling for all of downstairs and fans upstairs. We are sorry you didn't see the instructions. Unfortunately the gardening was unable to be completed until after your stay. We agree the driveway is narrow - some works will be undertaken in the quieter months to widen the driveway a little more and to also clean up the rear yard. We would suggest to guests to reverse into the driveway making it easier and more visible to see traffic. There is also on street parking out the front and within close proximity to the house. We hope to have you stay again in the future. Kind regards Lynda
Good value for money the property was presented in a way that made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Beautiful welcoming abode in excellent location.
Was beautiful house & the welcome basket was a nice surprise, definitely would recommend it to others & if we return would be hoping to stay there again. The only negative was that the upstairs in summer is rather warm & hard to cool down but otherwise was well set up for kids.
