History meets modern day...

Visit one of many local museums and soak in the history that this lovely city has to offer…
The Reservoir itself is steeped in history, originally built in the 1880's. The water tank was Bathurst's only water supply. By the 1950s the town had grown so much that The Reservoir could no longer service the towns needs. In 1989 a local couple purchased the land and reservoir and so began the building of this unique home which was completed in the 90's.

Now known by the city of Bathurst as ~~ The Reservoir ~~

Photos inside will lead you down memory lane and include images of buildings that still stand today… if you look carefully you can spot them from the dining and lounge room windows!!

It is evident the owners of this magnificent establishment have lovingly refurbished this property, subsequently you feel at home from the time you walk through its majestic entry. From its warm interior to its unique design and beautiful timber architecture its a must stay option. Spacious, but yet private so if you are planning on hosting a reunion with friends and family, look no further than The Reservoir.
We spent time visiting the local attractions and stood in awe of the beautiful historical architecture on show in Bathurst. Friendly people and the added attraction of Mt Panorama being in close proximity. A drive around 'the Mountain' was a feature of our stay. My only advice is book early. This is truly a unique accommodation option for your stay in Bathurst and surrounds.

Location was perfect, was advertised with lock up double garage but wasn't available for us to use. Communication wasn't the greatest as they confused us with someone else. But over all, house was clean with so much room for everyone, teenagers loved the pool table, play station, air hockey. Perfect for lage groups.

The email for the check in was the wrong code, but a call to the property manager corrected that. No tea towels to be found & oven mits would have been handy, overall we all found the place to be a great location, great view around the Bathurst area.

I stumbled upon hosting when my husband found this magnificent manor. Id never heard of "hosting" before. This house had brought our family so much happiness and we wanted to be able to use it ourselves and so our short stay journey began. I love hearing stories of why our guests come to Bathurst to visit and I particularly enjoy hearing about those who already know The Reservoir. Some are cheeky stories of swimming in it when they were children before it was transformed into a home!

Why they chose this property

Bathurst is a charming city with plenty of stories to tell. The locals are a friendly bunch and the food is amazing!!!

What makes this property unique

The Reservoir is truly unique. Perched high on the hill, overlooking beautiful Bathurst and Mount Panorama, steeped in history with an incredible story of its own to tell. Many a family reunion and friends get aways are being held here every weekend, giving its guests an opportunity to stay together while still having privacy...
