Black Mountain Lookout is a beautiful, recently remodeled quintessential log cabin atop Black Mountain with winter views of the White Mountains. Ski-in, ski-out to Black Mountain's Bob O Link trail or cross country ski down the Betty Whitney Circuit Trail. In the heart of it all for Summer activities as well. Located slope side on Black Mountain in Jackson, this lovely log cabin has all the amenities to make your stay memorable.

This light-filled home boasts a large river rock fireplace in a light filled living room and a newly remodeled kitchen. There is plenty of space for 8 people with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living room and a separate downstairs family room. A large wrap around deck with a new 6 person hot tub are perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.

Year around, this location simply can't be beat!! Ski-in, ski-out to Black Mountain or Nordic ski trails in the winter. Attitash, Cranmore and Wildcat Mountains are a short 20 minute drive. In the summer, wander out the front door to hiking trails or explore the hundreds of miles of trails and waterways in the White Mountain National Forest. The house is just a 2.5 mile drive into Jackson or 10 miles to North Conway, the #1 Ski Town in the USA voted by readers of USA Today. End your day with a family dinner at home or at one of the many nearby restaurants. For those visiting in the winter, this is a mountain side location, and it is recommended you have a vehicle with all wheel drive or snow tires to access our home.

Jackson is a popular mountain community with history, charm and accessibility. First settled in the 1770's, the area offers a myriad of fun things to do including skiing, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, kayaking, boating, biking, golfing, outlet shopping, craft beer touring & dining in Jackson and the surrounding communities. The area is known for skiing and hiking.

Notes: Please be aware there are scams on Craigslist trying to rent this home. We only rent through HomeAway/VRBO. Firewood is not provided but is readily available in town. For security purposes, there is a security camera monitoring the access road to the property which is mounted on house above the deck and facing down the access road.

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please neatly nag garbage and leave in the laundry room for pickup by our cleaner. There is also a dump pass for the Jackson Transfer station if you have excessive amounts of garbage you can use it.

Place all recycling in the appropriate bins inside and outside. Recycling items are plastic, glass, aluminum cans, milk containers and metal cans.

Make sure hot tub is covered and locked. Doors and windows are locked and lights, AC units and any other electric devices are turned off.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

No noise after 10 PM per Town regulations and pets only allowed with prior approval

No use of the wood stove for renters due to insurance policy requirements. Hot tub cover must be closed and locked when not in use No outdoor fires

No ski or snowboard equipment allowed in the house. Racks are provided outside. Ski boots permitted only in entry area.

This was an incredible home right on the ski slopes. We enjoyed multiple hot tub dips between uphill treks and lots of downhill laps. The perfect spot to enjoy a ski vacation. Relaxing nights by the fireplace made the stay even cozier.

Absolutely beautiful home - really feels like you are away from everything. The home is large and is well stocked with everything you would ever need. Everything was very clean and the process was straightforward. We especially enjoyed the wood fire and hot tub. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Cabin for family

We had an amazing stay in this cabin with my two small children. The fireplace and hot tub make for a perfect getaway. I highly recommend Jackson Falls nearby and a trip to Mount Washington.

Incredible home with wonderful space for everyone - including your pup! We loved the privacy of the location and enjoyed some less crowded gems (hikes, restaurants) away from North Conway. My kiddos are older, but this is also a great location for Story Land -- and less traffic since it is the opposite direction of N. Conway. Beautiful home; cozy and classy with all the kitchen stuff, towels, and games you could possibly need. Would definitely go back! Host was super helpful with all of our questions. Jacuzzi was a huge bonus - and the beds were SO comfy. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Place!

Five of us stayed at this lovely home for a girls’ fall foliage trip. The home is secluded and lovely with plenty of room to relax and hang out. The location was perfect. Jackson is quaint and the White Mountains are right there! We used this as home base and also visited VT and ME. It was a wonderful experience with a great host.

Ladies weekend

Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Location, location, location!! The views are amazing, the hot tub was super clean as well as the entire house. The beds and bedding were very comfy, plenty of room for our party of five and then some. We hiked up ski trails and just enjoyed the mountain vistas. A fabulous time was had by all of us and looking forward to going back again in the fall season for more spectacular views!Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Beautiful Vacation Home!

Stayed for 5 nights in August for a family vacation. The house was tastefully decorated and spacious. Loved the all the natural lighting and lighting from the beautiful fixtures. The house is in close proximity to downtown Jackson and other attractions and scenery. The hot tub and steam shower were added bonuses. We would definitely go back! Highly recommend!

Beautiful home nestled in the woods of Jackson NH

This property is first class all the way. From the towels to the cutlery - everything is of the highest quality. Gorgeous location. You can see the sun setting as you relax in the outdoor jacuzzi. Rooms are spacious. Three bathrooms are a huge plus.

Christmas and New Year's Holiday

We stayed for 10 days over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. Excellent location, right on the mountain and close to town. House was great, had that real log cabin ski house feel and was set up very nicely for a family of 5. Very clean with all the amenities you would expect, including great hot tub on the deck. Kitchen was very well stocked, had everything we needed as we cooked dinners in most nights.
