Thanks for staying again with your dogs. We aim to provide stay options on Coochie for dog lovers. Please come again. Note: beach rules are varied so read the sign on main beach and bring a 1.5m leash.
Loved this house, so well kept has everything you would need, so well equipped, comfortable, spotless, homeley...loved all the decor, would definitely stay here again..great experience
Great house, very relaxed feel in the perfect location. Close enough to the beach, ferry, cafe and pub but also far enough away to be relaxing and quiet. Very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed and more.
The home has all that you would need for your stay(you must bring your own bedding though). It was great being able to have our little Jack Russell with us, the little closed off yard was really good too. We used the bbq out front a few times and it was great to be able to sit out there for dinner. Coochiemudlo is a great little island and we are greatful to Ole and Karen for opening up their space to us so that we can enjoy it.
This place is amazing. So grateful for the time we spent there. The most relaxed we have been in a long time. Ole was a great host and the property was exactly what we needed. Plenty of space. Walking distance to everywhere and we brought the family dog who now considers himself a beach dog. Great fishing and awesome pub and cafe on the island.
The Bach worked really well for our family. The place was really well equipped and comfortable.

Comfortable dog friendly house
We enjoyed our stay. It is a great place just to chill out and relax. Unfortunately we could not get oven to work so christmas dinner required some creative thinking. Appreciate being able to take our dogs, but probably a little overpriced.

Sorry to hear about the oven, we will add directions to the front as gas can be a bit tricky to start if used to electric. The current holiday tenant had issue as well but called us and now they can get it going and all good for pizza dinners. There is a bench top convection oven that bakes and roasts anything from kids meals, chips, nuggets through to a whole turkey which is also easy to clean. The electric pan with lid is also a good backup if you want a break from the 4-burner hooded BBQ. Dogs are additional cost that is less than local kennel fee and we offer second dog free which we have been told is good value. The hose connected to the outdoor shower over bath to wash sand off pooch and kids is a big hit too. Thanks for your feedback and glad to hear you chilled at Coochie.
The house was comfortable and in walking distance to everything. It was well stocked. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the grassed area wasn’t fenced for the dogs. We had a great long weekend and the dogs loved their walks and lots of swimming.
Property owners tried to charge for damages to property which occurred before we stayed at the accom
Never again

Place was great one block to beach and ferry. Island is beautiful and very arty great place for kids to hang out and explore. Property was great everything you could need and was not run down very comfortable. Only thing is no wifi which is annoying when bad reception so couldn’t stream any shows for kids - especially when wifi box sitting on coffee table flashing but locked that was fun trying to explain to kids over & over!! Also communication regarding bedding we lug 5 sets of doonas, sheets, towels over by trolleys on ferry and there is a whole cupboard saying please wash after use. But was a great place would book again
Very laid back, with lots of holiday-home comforts. We were two couples and two singles and we had plenty of room to spread out. We self-catered and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. We loved being close to everything, but were pleased we also brought a vehicle for transporting people and luggage to and from the ferry and around the island. We would have liked someone to meet us, but we figured out the key-holder, the microwave, the bioblitzer and perhaps not the wi-fi in due course. Thanks for having us, and we hope we can do the same again down the track.
Great house for groups, well equipped kitchen, good outdoor area. Felt relaxed as house was well lived in. A little worse for wear in some respects. Quirky decor and comfy lounges. Air con in all rooms. The bath rooms needed a good clean, bbq also not clean. Unfortunately the wifi didn't work. My son is a computer technician, so it was definitely the case. We hotspot to his phone to watch anything. All in all a nice experience. wasn't clean

Harsh marker. This is our second home so yes it will feel lived in but it will also have all you need in the kitchen. WiFi works so it must have been an anomaly during the stay so that is unfortunate. Our place has professional cleaners service it and as a priority the bathrooms are spotless with sparkling glass, mirrors and polished chrome fittings. BBQ is use and clean after yourself arrangement. Glad the stay was a nice experience for the 61st Birthday Party together with free late checkout. The rating markdown wasn't warranted. Was clean.
Staying at the beach house on Coochie was wonderful. The house is older, but the bathrooms are renovated, the bedrooms and beds are very comfortable and the loungeroom was welcoming with very comfy couches. The kitchen is dated, though well stocked and easy to use..
The house is very centrally located and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island, playing board games and watching DVDS.
Our Dog was living her best life being on holidays with us. Just beware there are times of the year that the birds (such as Curlews) are nesting so dogs must remin on leash at all times!
It was a wonderful weekend away! We will definitely stay again!
Relaxing Quiet house with everything that was needed.
This was a catch up with my sisters. There was plenty of room for us to relax and enjoy the games left for use. The weather was rainy but we still had time to walk around and see the island. Very convenient location. Air conditioner was useful on very cold nights. We had an amazing time and home to return soon.

About the host
Hosted by Ole Florager
Wife used to work as PE teacher at Victoria Point School and brought kids to Coochie for excursions to see the educational sights and nature walk through wetlands and to Red Rock where the island got is name. We had three kids and brought them here and loved it so we decided to buy a home.
Why they chose this property
Liked Coochie so much with the easy access from Brisbane by car we can be unpacked and on the beach in one hour. Ferry and bus service are synchronised if you don't travel by car. The house is just far enough away from the party zone during holiday season to be able to relax but close enough to easily walk to beaches. This island and home with the extra block next door was the place to buy as our retirement place... our castle with a moat around it!
What makes this property unique
Coochie has the choice of three beaches North, South and East to get out of the wind. House has outdoor shower with direct access to indoor en-suite and laundry wet area with fridge. The bird life is extraordinary and awesome to relax with a never to be built out view across road to nature reserve. Concrete street with no gutters is a unique bonus for parking large boat or kids to skate and scooter. Space to play or turn boat around on the paddock next door.
