Slow down, re-energize, don't rush, breathe, inhale the fresh salty air and create happy memories .. you won't want to leave.

Restus is nestled in the South Beach pocket of the beautiful, historical fishing village of Port Fairy.

It's very easy to drift off to sleep with the roar of the ocean in our four comfortably sized bedrooms that all offer high quality French flax bed linen and quilts/fluffy towels, cosy woollen doonas and superior mattresses.
Restus is perfectly suited for couples, family holidays/get togethers, or just a couple enjoying the King Master suite upstairs wanting to escape the everyday.

Restus is a family owned & operated holiday beach house which can comfortably sleep 10 guests.

Restus is only minutes from the iconic Pea Soup Beach - days can be filled exploring the many rock pools, beach walks, swimming, canoeing or snorkelling at either Pea Soup and South Beach, or watching surfers catch some waves at a surfing favourite - Oigles.

Bedroom configuration:
Bedroom 1: King Bed Suite upstairs - Ensuite/ walk-in-robes /electric blanket/ceiling fan,
Bedroom 2: Queen bed - electric blanket/ceiling fan,
Bedroom 3: Queen bed - electric blanket/ceiling fan,
Bedroom 4: Tri- bunk with Queen bed and KS plus a KS trundle bed & pedestal fan. Electric blanket on Queen only.
Prices are based on 2 guests// extra guests (to a max. of 10) are charged at $25 per guest/per night.

Restus has a 2 night minimum,
2pm check in/ 10am check out,
Strictly No Hens/Stag parties or School/Schoolies,
Restus is Not pet friendly,
Babies/infants UNDER 2 years - stay free is using own cot/bassinet/pram;
Highchair & portacot are provided free of charge (please request if needed)
Price listed is for 2 Guests, then $25 pp/per night for extra guests
(2 - 7 night minimum)

Our fully equipped kitchen offers basic pantry staples: tea/coffee/sugar, salt & pepper, olive oil, etc. A toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, Nespresso Coffee machine & milk frother are also provided.
Port Fairy has a fantastic IGA Supermarket, two local bakeries, Fen Food & Wine Store and Sheehan Butchers for all your food needs, as well as a large selection of cafes, bars and restaurants.

We have an enhanced cleaning routine due to COVID19, taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

'Restus on South' is located in a residential area - we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
Babies/infants under 2 years that use a cot/pram/bassinet to sleep in and don't use beds/bedding - Stay FREE
We don't charge an additional cleaning fee: please leave Restus as you find it - clean and tidy.

Our two young families had a wonderful stay at Restus! The house was absolutely perfect and had everything we could need and more. A perfect location and the most well equipped kitchen we’ve ever had at a holiday house. We definitely hope to return soon!

Port Fairy recharge

This 12 night booking was our second stay here with an extended family group and everyone loved it. The house is sparkling clean and so comfortable and the Cafes of Port Fairy are within comfortable walking distance. WIth so many little touches Joe and Julie are wonderful, thoughtfull hosts and their property 'Restus on South' certainly lives up to it's name. Watching the waves roll in never gets old, whether from the balcony, deck or inside.

I found the booking website a little difficult to navigate. However once the booking was secured the whole process was very easy. We stayed at Restus on South for 2 nights with old Adelaide friends. The house was first class and we all enjoyed it tremendously. We would certainly recommend it to others. Just one small negative - we arrived at 2.30pm and found the cleaner still there. Even though our paperwork showed check-in from 2.00pm, the cleaner stated that the check-in time is actually 3.00pm. This needs to be corrected on the website.

A well rested stay at Restus

My friends and I had an wonderful stay at Restus. Julie was extremely responsive ahead of our trip and was courteous in every one of our engagements. Her instructions were clear and she even provided insights into places of interests around Port Fairy for us to explore. She went above and beyond what we have experienced with other hosts in the past, such as checking to see when we were expecting to arrive and had the heater turned on an hour or so before hand so that the house was nice and warm when we got there. The house was decorated and made up immaculately, putting our own homes to shame! I highly recommend a stay at Restus and can't wait to be back again.

Just Perfect!

The house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable with sparkling presentation. The location is ideal with safe bathing beaches only a few minutes’ walk away. Town is a little further (I can recommend hiring some bikes from the Surf shop on Bank Street – very reasonable). The two living areas really makes the house very versatile, easily accommodating our two families with teenagers. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds are and how luxurious the place felt. Hosts Julie and Joe made our whole experience seamless with their prompt communication and thoughtful inclusions. We stayed a week and never tired of the view upstairs day or night, and the view downstairs isn’t too shabby either! Leaving was hard but we were consoled in the knowledge that we had already managed to book it for next year!

Restus is an amazing property with Ocean views and access. The owner and host has done an amazing job in creating a perfect getaway with luxury finishes with an impeccable attention to detail. An absolute must stay if visiting Port Fairy.

As soon as you pull up in your car at the house - all you can smell is the sea air. Our house is modern, can cater for 10 people which is ideal for 2 families, or couples and has fantastic views that you never tire from!
