Spring Creek Studio Apartment is incredibly unique. This hidden gem is set on a beautiful bush block that spills out onto the reserve and creek. It is protected from the daily hustle and bustle, yet is in the heart of Old Torquay so remains an easy stroll to the foreshore, surf shops and cafes. This is one of Torquay’s best kept secrets, quietly boasting the best of both worlds.

Nestled on the edge of Spring Creek Nature Reserve, the property will stop you in your tracks as every outlook highlights the beauty and tranquility of nature at its best. It is a contemporary, open-plan space with modern amenities and quality features throughout.

The king size bedroom space features a contemporary fireplace and there is a luxurious 2-person outdoor bath tub surrounded by plants and flowers where you can soak at the end of the day under the stars and listen to gentle sounds of frogs and birds as they settle in for the evening, and of course the sound of the ocean. The tub can also be used as a plunge pool in hot weather or an ice bath if that's your thing !

The Apartment is completely self contained and has separate access and entrance to the main property so your privacy is guaranteed at all times. The deck and gardens are also private and available exclusively for your own enjoyment during your stay. The bathroom features a full length window with views to a secret bamboo grove which is surrounded on all sides by privacy screens so no one can see in.

Designed by the owner, the apartment is influenced by her passion for interior design and the natural world and features original artwork throughout. Double glass doors open onto a large deck which is surrounded by a series of indigenous gardens, home to a huge variety of Australian birds, frogs, lizards and skinks.

The walking track at the bottom of the garden takes you on a journey under the Moonah trees and along Spring Creek Reserve. You will find hidden fishing platforms along the way where you can throw in a rod or sit for a spell and dangle your feet in the cool water. The track then leads to the Great Ocean Road and Torquay Common which takes you to the inlet and Torquay Front Beach (about a 20 minute stroll).

Kayaks and push bikes are available for guests to use, so you can ride along the various bike paths or leisurely paddle along the creek to the inlet and beach. The track continues across Torquay Road to the surf beach, the Jan Juc cliff tops or further on to Bells Beach.

Boogie boards and a surfboard are also available. Enjoy a fun day at the beach, then come back and chill out in the hammock under the gum trees for the afternoon, or snuggle up by the indoor or outdoor fireplace with your favourite glass of wine. It is the perfect retreat in any weather.

Your time spent here will be a unique experience of tranquility and rejuvenation set in comfort and style - perfect for couples, friends or anyone wanting to unwind, relax and completely let go.

I live on the top level of the property, TWO FLOORS ABOVE the apartment (and I'm very quiet).

The Apartment is accessed by a series of stairs, so THIS MAY NOT BE THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY RESTRICTIONS.
