Spring Creek Studio Torquay - A Hidden Gem

Spring Creek Studio is a unique property. This hidden gem is set on a beautiful bush block that spills out onto Spring Creek Reserve. It is protected from the daily hustle and bustle, yet is in the heart of Old Torquay so remains an easy stroll to the foreshore, surf shops and cafes (approx 20 mins). This is one of Torquay’s best kept secrets, quietly boasting the best of both worlds.

Nestled on the edge of Spring Creek Nature Reserve, the property will stop you in your tracks as every outlook highlights the beauty and tranquility of nature at its best. It is a contemporary, open-plan space with modern amenities and quality features throughout.

The Studio is completely self contained and has separate access and entrance to the main property so your privacy is guaranteed at all times. The deck and gardens are also private and available exclusively for your own enjoyment during your stay.

Designed by the owner, the Studio is influenced by her passion for interior design and the natural world and features original artwork throughout. Double glass doors open onto a large deck which is surrounded by a series of indigenous gardens, home to a huge variety of Australian birds, frogs, lizards and skinks. You may even be lucky enough to spot our resident wallaby!

The reserve and creek are literally in the back yard. Kayaks are available for guests to use, so you can paddle along the creek which leads directly to the beach.

There are also a series of walking tracks and bike paths that take you to Torquay front beach or the Jan Juc Cliff Tops and further on to Bells Beach if you prefer. The tracks meander under the Moonah trees where you will find hidden fishing platforms where you can rest if you wish.

Enjoy a day out, then come back and chill out in the hammock under the gum trees for the afternoon, soak in the outdoor tub or snuggle up by the indoor fireplace with your favourite glass of wine. It is the perfect retreat in any weather.

Your time spent here will be a unique experience of tranquility and rejuvenation set in comfort and style - perfect for anyone wanting to unwind, relax and completely let go.

LINEN
Linen, pillows, doona, extra blankets, bath towels and tea towels are provided. Beach towels are not provided so please bring them with you.

KITCHEN FACILITIES
The kitchenette if fully decked out with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Microwave, cook top, bar fridge, sandwich press, toaster, kettle, Nespresso Capsule Coffee machine are also provided. It does not have an oven.

STARIS
The Studio is fully self contained and has its own private access and entry seperate to the main property. It is accessed by a set of stairs so this may not be the best location for your stay if you have mobility challenges.

BREAKFAST
Due to people’s complex dietary requirements breakfast is not included. However, olive oil, pepper, salt, tea and coffee are provided.

EXTERNAL LIGHTS
There is a two-way light switch for the external stairs. One switch is at the very top of the stairs and the other is at the bottom above the umbrella stand. If you are heading out for the evening, I recommend leaving the lights on so that the stairs are safely lit on your return. Please make sure to turn them off again once you retire.
 
GARDEN BATH
The bath has been cleaned and sanitised for your stay. Please ensure you empty the bath when not in use. It is just like a regular bath and has hot and cold running water.

MOZZIE & INCENSE STICKS
Mozzie and incense sticks are available to use outdoors only. Please make sure they are never left unattended and are fully extinguished if you are heading out or before you retire. The fan on the deck will keep also the mozzies away. Please ensure to keep all fly screens closed at all times.
 
KAYAKS, BIKES & BOOGIE BOARDS
Kayaks and boogie boards are available during your stay. They are located at the bottom of the garden. Please return them to where they were when you have finished. The owner IS NOT LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE for any mishap or injury incurred when using any of the recreational equipment.

NOISE
Please keep all noise including music to a minimum by 10.30pm. This will keep the neighbours happy !

RUBISH
I would appreciate it if you could remove all rubbish from the apartment when you leave and place it in the council bins which are located in the carport upstairs. Also, please ensure you empty the fridge of all your food and drinks.
