Perfect Carmel Stay

While we were in town to present at the Sea Otter Classic bike expo, the location of this VRBO provided breakfast and dinner options in walking distance every day. Such an amazing little town.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is just perfect! The moment we walked in we felt at home. The furnishings and decor are pristine and SO BEAUTIFUL! Comfortable, cozy, clean with all the comforts of home. Walking distance the ocean, restaurants and shops. We hardly wanted to leave during our stay and we were more than a little sad to have to go home. Love love love! If we could give this rental more than 5 stars we would. We can’t wait to come back!

The photos looked nicer than the unit. The grounds needed some attention, the kitchen sink glaze was peeling and looked horrible, we didn’t want to use it. The bathroom is old and needs updating. Put some money into this unit. Good location but the unit is tired.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place has a decent location at the top of Carmel just off Ocean ave. We stay in Carmel twice a year usually. This is our 1st time at this location. It is average. That being said it was a little less than most rentals. No air conditioning and it was unseasonably warm. When we arrived they had the heaters on so it took a while to cool down to be tolerable. They do have fans in the unit. It’s a comfortable layout. It could use a window air conditioner for sure and blackout shades. The restaurant below is fantastic. I would probably not stay here again especially if the weather is warm.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were delighted to find this clean and complete vacation rental that welcomed us with a bottle of wine and cheese. The beds and living room furniture were very comfortable, and the two large screen TVs were most welcome during the evenings we wanted to stay in to watch a movie. The kitchen was well equipped to fix a meal from the groceries we bought at the farmers market two blocks away. The Hidden Gem restaurant just steps away from our door had the best breakfast in town. This was a very good value and the location was unbeatable.

Not worth it.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Shabby apartment not worth paying almost $500/night. Bathroom shower the size of a postage stamp, bathroom sink tiny, and no hair dryer even though there was supposed to be one. Keurig machine in kitchen not working, kitchen sink had multiple chips. The grounds are poorly maintained with multiple trip hazards, including stairs that are difficult to navigate in part because of overgrown bushes. Parking was a nightmare.

Lovely flat close to downtown

The Cedar room is a simple but nice one bedroom. There are two loveseats that pull out into beds. The location is prime although the courtyard is full of people at the cafe in the morning. We didn't mind but some may. Staff is very prompt and attentive. Only four parking spots for the whole complex that are first-come, first-serve. Checkout is 10am, which is a tad early.

Car Week Treat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It has great access to downtown Carmel. The walking was just wonderful. Washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen were so handy. We were concerned that noise or privacy might be issues but absolutely no problems. This is a great spot.

Needs a refresh and deep cleaning!

Checkin went as normal, code lock worked well. We found this rental to be much less “fresh” than the pictures represented. It was also quite dirty….socks black with dirt after walking around the unit for 10 minutes. Our visit coincided with multiple tv and internet outages caused by Comcast/xFinity. The connection worked about 50% of the time. Not a repeat rental!
