Fantastic cozy cabin

We all enjoyed our frist snow trip and the cozy cabin. It was great to only have to drive 20 to be on Buller and the surrounding area was breathtaking.

A perfect weekend away :)

The property was perfect for our family getaway to the snow. The house was beautifully presented and clean throughout. Everything you need is there and the drying room was spacious and left us with perfectly dry gear each morning. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect spot to head up onto the mountain

No long drive to head up to the mountain from here. Perfect location! The house was well equipped, functional and clean. Just what we needed. The drying room outside was a real bonus to dry out our wet ski gear. Very happy - can definitely recommend.

We had the best time staying at Mountain Lodge Sawmill Settlement. It had everything we needed plus more. It was lovely and warm and catered for the right amount of people. Even enough teaspoons for all!!! Tania was amazing to deal with. Highlight was the visit in the morning from the King parrots.

The property was great! host was patient and kind and answered all my questions. Her house was clean and had all the amenities and items we needed. She had board games for children and enough room for family and friends. The location was great, walking distance fro the bus stop going to Mt Buller. It snowed during the last day of our stay, which was magical for all of us.

Convenient location

Perfect location between Mansfield and the mountain its a great spot with everything you need. The dry room was great and it had plenty of beds for us all. I think the heating needs to be put up as at night it was quite cold for kida especially but thats the only downfall i can say. Also bring your own devices to watch reception and phone internet was perfect as the tv only has a few random chanels working.

Snow trip

Accomodation was well stocked with all the little things you always forget. Great kitchen supplies meant we could eat how we normally cook as a family. Cabin was room so with 10 people in it you didn’t feel like you were on top of each other. Just a really good and homey place. We will book again.

Great accommodation option for a snow trip

Very generous and effective dry room, especially for snow equipment. Since there are 4 bedrooms which can fit in a max of 12 ppl, it would be great if there is one more toilet in the property. If you require ski hire, they have 20% discount vouchers for Black Mountain Ski Hire, located in the Mt Buller village and this is definitely a bonus point for ppl who want to organise a snow trip. The owner should advertise this as a selling point in the description of the property:)

We stayed at this lovely cosy home for a family snow weekend away with two families, 4 adults and 6 kids. The home was perfect. Location was excellent, only minutes away from check in up the mountain. Located in a quiet lovely court, we loved sharing the property with the local Kookaburras and wildlife. Even skippy shared us a visit :) The home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of board games, darts, books to keep everyone entertained. The dry room was awesome and we used the 20% discount at the ski hire outlet at Mt Buller Village. Communication with the owner was also great, thank you. Would definitely return.

This is a fabulous cosy little place that works perfectly for a group going skiing. It has everything you need and lots of room for family and friends to stay. The drying room is absolutely brilliant - worked a treat! Tania was a super host. Would highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

My husband always wanted a holiday house at the Sawmill Settlement. Being an avid snowsports family during the Winter and mountain bike/motor bikers during the off-season, we decided we could have our house as a holiday/rental to help other families enjoy the experiences Mt Buller and surrounds has to offer.

What makes this property unique

We have converted the house from something old and run down to something so cosy, you just want to snuggle inside with the fire burning. It is our favorite place to be; either with just our family or with friends. With the open floor plan, even with a house full of people, we don't feel like we are tripping over one another.
