Everything was great, nothing to complain about. The host was wonderful in how she welcomed us. There was salt, cookies, towels and heater. Thanks for hosting us.
My 2nd time at Asmara and again it did not disappoint. I needed a quiet holiday to renew and re-energise and I certainly achieved that. Thank you Di and Barwon Heads for another wonderful week.
Tucked away in a quiet court this property was in a natural garden with privacy and outdoor seating options. Short drive to shops and beach . Compact shower and toilet had plenty of towels and we had a small coat rack to hang our clothes. For a short stay it was all you wanted.
Cosy, comfortable and a very relaxing atmosphere. Property was impressive and presented very well for us. The communication was very good and instructions given were very detailed and everything was easy to manage which made the stay all the more relaxing. Thank you so much Di

Perfect for two
Asmara is an excellent property for two people. We had everything we needed, from lovely toiletries to wine glasses. The property has a zen feeling to it and as soon as you enter you get the feeling of a tranquel space. Tea and coffee are supplied as are light breakfast provisions, muesli, juice and fruit. I would reccomend Asmara as a great choice for a short stay in Barwon Heads.
Asmara ticks all the boxes in my mind for a lovely few nights of r&r in a very peaceful setting. It's excellent value for money with lovely linen, comfortable bed and delightful shower. The outdoor bath was lush and the accommodation cosy and clean. Michael and Di were excellent hosts and were very responsive, especially when I had an issue with the heater which was quickly fixed. It can often be a gamble staying in accomdation near the hosts house but this is an example of excellent design allowing a feeling of seclusion and privacy. With a lot of overpriced accomodation out there this is true winner. 10/10 highly recommend.
Really cosy and comfortable, very thoughtfully presented throughout. Spacious and super clean. A delightful hideaway with complete privacy. Will recommend and hope to return.
Gorgeous studio space All attention paid to a very special experience, no plastics all utensils and features natural materials timber pottery woven cotton hemp a great eco friendly experienceThank you
Fantastic little stayz, tucked away in a quiet spot at the back of town. Easy to communicate with property manager and knew we could reach them easily if needed. Accomodation had everything we needed for the little weekend stay.
Had everything we needed and it was convenient to local attractions that interested us.
Comfortable bed and armchair.
The toilet end of the bathroom was tight but manageable and the shower was excellent.
The hosts were nice people.
We really loved our 3 day break at Asmara. The location was perfect, close enough to the shops, but far enough away from the business of town. The accommodation itself was fantastic - cosy and warm with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Would thoroughly recommend
A hidden gem! A little studio that is everything and more. We didn’t need to bring a thing. Studio is very comfortable, clean and well set out. Very peaceful and out of the way. A quick drive into Barwon Heads and beyond. Could be a bit tricky to find at night but well worth it! We will definitely be back and I’ve already recommended this stay. A really beautiful spot
Lovely peaceful short trip away in clean comfortable accommodation. Short drive into town centre where we ate at Barwon Heads Hotel. Beer garden with views and excellent food.
