JayBees Near The Surf Beach In Ocean Grove

Relax in the spacious reverse cycle air conditioned lounge room and dining area, containing comfortable couches, providing the ideal setting to ponder the day’s adventures with friends and family. There is also a wood stove heater to enhance the atmosphere on cooler evenings. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and television. The second bedroom has two king size single beds and a standard single size bunk bed, ideal for families or comfortably catering for up to 6 adults. The toilet is separate to the bathroom, which is convenient when there are a number of people waiting to use the bathroom.
Guests provide their OWN LINEN and TOWELS, we provide a bath mat and tea towel.
There is a shady pergola and BBQ area, with an established garden and lawns all enclosed by the front picket fence in a quiet street 2 streets back from the beach

Location Location Location!

Our house is ideal for anyone wanting to be within a close walk to the beach. From the house it is only a 5-minute stroll to the a quiet surf beach. If you prefer, the main beach is accessible by car in under 5 minutes.You might also like to enjoy a leisurely 20 minute stroll along the beach or walking tracks, you can choose to arrive at the main beach, or the main street in the town. If you head up the hill Ocean Grove's 2nd newest shopping center is less than 1 kilometer away. Of course,all these and all of the Bellarine Peninsula's abundance of attractions, restaurants, wineries, aquatic adventure parks, bike trails and more are all within a short drive.

Nice weekend at JayBees

We had a nice family stay at JayBees. The house had all the facilities we needed, and the location is good: walking distance to the beach and easy access to town centre. It's a nice quiet area too. The host was very accommodating and let us have a late checkout on Sunday. Thanks for a great stay!

A nice surprise.

JayBees was a comfortable and spacious home with lots of windows to maximise the front yard aspect. The venue was clean and provided all the kitchen appliances you might need. The owner was very helpful and responsive and check-in was easy. JayBees represents excellent value and is on our list for a revisit.

Loved staying at this older style home. So near the beach and not very far from central Ocean Grove. Well equiped and so peaceful. Will be back.

Quiet retreat, with character

A charming living area - loved all the wood tones and comfy couches. Beds comfortable and kitchen equipped with the main essentials. No need for the wood fire during a heat wave but this would make it very cosy in winter. Perfect weather for beach swims so we appreciated being so close to the beach. Host was very helpful when we couldn’t figure out how to reset the oven. Overall a lovely stay in a quiet street. It was great to find a classic retro style holiday house that’s not exorbitantly priced.

This place has all you need. An easy 5 min walk to the beah and a short drive to shops. Its pretty original..incliding a cute 50s bathroom! So not for someone wanting a super modern place but great if you like bit of character.

Fabulous comfy retro family stay

This is a charming comfortable retro house is in a great location 5 min walk to the beach & Ocean Grove Hotel. It has all the kitchen essentials for a home cooked meal, electric blankets for cold nights, snuggle on the couch with a lovely warm coonara with firewood supplied . The bathroom is old but the shower is hot. Highly recommend

Cozy beach shack

Loved the cozy living/dining area with all the timber features. Heating worked well throughout the house. The bathroom needs updating, is very old and main mirror is so low you can only see from chest down. Outside garden needs a good tidy up, lots of unsafe debri around which would cause a concern for snakes in summer. Front yard would be nice to sit in if it was tidy.

Outdated and overpriced. The photo used to advertise the property can be misleading.

Ok living area altho’ great concern that the ‘coonarra’ fire is in a dangerous area especially if children are around when it is lit. Queen bed is lumpy and the springs ‘twang’. The ‘bathroom’ consists of a shower over a triangular tub which can take approx. 30cms of water. In order to look in the mirror behind the basin an adult would need to crouch down. We didn’t go in the overgrown garden.

Jay Bees experience.

The house is in a good location for walking to the beach. The wood heater was a nice feature. It’s not fancy accommodation but completely adequate. We did end up having to source our own bath mat and tea towels although the owner arrived at the door on the 3rd day of our stay with mat and towels. The beds definitely need to be replaced as they are quite uncomfortable and have broken springs. We opted to sleep on the floor instead. With new beds, this place would be fully equipped for a beach getaway.
