If you want a welcoming home for a group of friends, a family or two, or just a peaceful getaway - with Manyana Beach, Green Island and Lake Conjola Inlet at your doorstep, then this light-filled, relaxing, architect-owned and designed beach bungalow surpasses anything else in the area. Designed with attention to detail and spaciousness, our retreat is comfortable, well-located and private. Two pavilions are connected yet separated by the hallway, laundry and bathroom areas. One pavilion houses the living areas and interactive decks, while the other is home to 4 large, quiet bedrooms. Our home is stylish laid back, spacious and comfortable with a kitchen that deserves to be cooked in, a wonderfully large dining and alfresco table that need to be sat around, deck hammocks that need to be swung in and a simple yet generous fire pit that needs to be enjoyed. The long-lost sleep-in is also encouraged by having the bedrooms physically separated from all the living areas. All bedrooms have backed curtains, good mattresses and the mediative sound of the waves and birdlife. Cunjurong Point, our beautiful part of the south coast, brings together the inlet lake, the beach, Green Island, and nearby National Parks walks, whilst our home brings together family, friends, food and a lulling comfort. Enjoy!

Thank you Caitlin and family for staying again. I'm chuffed you love the house as much as I do and that it caters so well for your multigenerational get-togethers.
Jo was an amazing host and her house is so warm and welcoming, it really felt like a home away from home. Excellent location within walking distance of the beach and lake. Well equipped kitchen for cooking meals at home and so many games to play to stay entertained. The warm outdoor shower was a bonus and we will definitely be back.Linens are not included but there is a great local company that delivers and picks up.
This is a wonderful home for families with children. Walking distance to stunning beaches and river mouth. We love the indoor outdoor design and spend a lot of time on the front deck.
This house was absolutely perfect for our family holiday. It has been perfectly designed and furnished for families and multi generations. The outdoor and indoor living spaces were generous and comfortable, with hammocks and spacious seats everywhere, it made it is easy to relax and hang out together. We were so happy there it didn’t matter what the beach was like, but If were minded for some beach time we were only steps away. Highly recommend this house!
Stayed 2 nights with family friends. It's beautiful house, feels like home, even tough the house looks old but has everything that we need and 5 minutes walking distance to beautiful beach. We will be back for more days in the future for sure. come in the future for sure.

Stunning! The perfect escape for a relaxing beach getaway
Gorgeous beach getaway. Incredibly comfortable with a clever layout that allowed for plenty of space for the whole family to spread out and relax. The abundance of windows made it very cool indoors and the whole home was clean and tidy on our arrival. Perfect location – less than a 10-minute walk to the beach and just around the corner from the village's cafe. It is BYO linen (sheets and towels) but there are plenty of blankets and pillows supplied.
We have rented a different house every year for the past ten years for “Xmas at Cunj”.
This was simply the best hands down.
Location, facilities, space, layout, outlook, bience, neighbours. All adds up.
The piéce de résistance is host Jo herself - accommodating, friendly and supportive.
Please don’t stay here anyone, if we can’t get in we’ll be fuming!
Dream home. Great location. Clever design and so spacious for our family of five. We loved the front porch with his lovely natives and birds. There’s a great yard for backyard cricket. The house has everything you need and is super cool, stylish and comfortable. Such a lovely home to stay in. Thank you Jo for sharing this special place. Looking forward to our return visit (already booked!) 🥰

Wonderful to hear, that you all enjoyed the house so much, so much so, you'll be back again next year! Thank you for your lovely review and appreciation :)
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and stylish house. Jo was very accommodating and communicative, the house was stylish and had great outdoor areas for relaxing. A top spot!
Fantastic property in peaceful location. Great design that connects beautifully with the nature that surrounds it, creating a place that is relaxing and comfortable. Great host and have everything you need.
What a perfect beach house to spend time with friends and family. There was enough space to find a peaceful spot to read a book alone and lovely rooms to be together. Our favorite night was spent sitting outside watching the fire & the stars. We were sad to leave and will return to this gorgeous house soon.
The house is spacious, relaxing and appropriately hidden from view. The many well-placed windows allow for a variety of sunny and breezy spots across the day, great for reading and naps. If you like cooking, the kitchen layout works well, the chattels are adequate, and be sure to bring your favourite spices, oils and salt and pepper.
The property is as it appears - I read things wrong and thought there was two bathrooms but there are tow toilets and an outside hot shower. You need to take all your own oil/ seasoning / spreads and but tablets for the dishwasher as there was only a few there. I will definitely book again!

About the host
Hosted by Jo Larratt
I live in Sydney with my gorgeous family and pooches and have spent the last 30 years visiting/exploring/understanding the beautiful south coast. I adore time spent with family and friends and love to travel, bush walk, design and draw. I'm most comfortable in nature and thoughtful spaces that are designed to help one relax, connect and play!
Why they chose this property
Our house is a layback south coast gem - offering real comfort in terms of space, natural light, simple pleasures and location.
Location highlights: *Manyana Beach is our closest beach, a 4 minute stroll, head east down Quebec Street into the bush/beach track. Great for swimming and body surfing. *Green Island at low tide sunset is perfect for a picnic and a snorkel. *Lake Conjola Inlet enter via the bush track (intersection of Ottawa St and Cunjurong Point Rd) great for beach cricket, floating and fishing. NB. When a southerly wind is predicted or hits, these tranquil beaches and inlet turn very windy, so head to Bendalong which is only a 5-minute drive. *Rock Hop from Manyana Beach to Inyyada Beach to Bendalong (last leg needs low tide) *Explore by foot or bike the many bush tracks of Manyana. Head north down Austen Street (street opposite the house) into the bush and out into the Manyana township to play tennis, basketball, or soccer. *Discover the area's excellent fire/walking trails - great on foot or on mountain bike *Bendalong has a good local shop, an ok café but do great wood fire oven pizzas on a Friday night. There are also fantastic swimming beaches and walks including North Bendalong which offers One Tree Beach, Dee Beach and Monument Beach.
*An achievable bush walk is Mount Bush Walker in Morton National Park (situated before Milton) has a scenic drive in, fab for young kids because its flat with great rock formations). Best website: https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/walking-tracks/mount-bushwalker-walking-track?p=1&pdfprint=true
*The township of Milton (20min drive from the house) - excellent for its food, coffee, live music and small town provisions (especially the IGA and its bottle shop). My favs are Pilgrims Cafe, Bar Yuki, Milk Haus, The Milton Hotel and the restored historic Milton Theatre.
*The larger township of Ulladulla (30min drive from the house) - has a good movie cinema, supermarkets and fresh seafood.
What makes this property unique
I designed the house and garden areas and have spent the last 25 years enjoying the hidden treasures this naturally aging house and unspoiled area offers. After all these years I still admire the house's indoor-outdoor flow, breezeways, highlight windows, and inviting open plan living areas which interact with both the northern and middle decks (via bifold doors and an oversized glass sliding door). My now adult children still love to slide with winter socks along the expansive, internal timber floors which soften the house and for me, my all-time favourite place is the northern deck, early in the morning when the rainbow lorikeets are chatting along with the background sounds of Manyana Beach and it's the first cuppa of the day - my kinda of bliss!
