We have to consider our neighbours in regards to noise and most Bnb’s have the same rules.
Thank you for being lovely guests and we are happy you all had a great time!

Thanks Guys, Pleased you had fun, so happy you used the games room and court. Hope to see you again sometime in the future. Regards Adam
A spacious stunning property, with room for all the adult children, grandchildren and one dog. Plenty to keep us all occupied and just a short drive to Woodend, Hanging Rock and the Mount Macedon memorial cross.
Only pedestal and ceiling fans for cooling, so our first night was a little uncomfortable, but we would love to visit again in spring or autumn.
We loved the experience - a front row seat to a world class view ... Hanging Rock framed so beautifully by a literal amphitheatre of wonderful trees ...lit up beautifully in the sunlight one day, cosy and misty the next, like sitting in a McCubbin painting... all while enjoying the peace and quiet, reading and meditation during the day... enjoying food and wine by the fire at night. Very comfortable! Thank you, we would highly recommend!
2 families stayed. We booked for a wedding. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so we weren't falling over one another. There was an excellent kitchen with everything we needed. Woodend is not far away for groceries.
Adam lit the wood heater which was most appreciated as we found the weather brisk after coming from Queensland.
Views and surrounds were lovely. Very peaceful and quiet.
We would definitely visit again and recommend Grangehill, for any length of time; a weekend or a week.

Excellent views, location and property!
Three generations and a couple of dogs spent a weekend together at Grangehill and there was something for everyone – amazing views, games room (pool, table tennis), local walks, cozy fire, music room with piano, Foxtel, interesting art, and plenty of space for the dogs.
We loved watching the views of hanging rock change with the weather: foggy and mysterious one minute then it clears and the rock appears in the distance. As the sun sets, the colours on the trees change and if you’re lucky, as we were, you’ll see the trees turn red and orange and look like they’re on fire!
Adam was nothing but the best host. He had plenty of suggestions when we asked, was responsive whenever we needed anything.
We walked from the house to Camel’s Hump lookout on Mt Macedon in less than an hour (thanks to Adam’s suggestion!). A beautiful walk with the reward at the top of an amazing view!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
NOT AS DESCRIBED ON STAYZ
The two bedrooms in the main floor had folding dividers on the adjoining wall that didn’t go from floor to ceiling hence there was no privacy in either room.
Access to one of the bedrooms was through the main bathroom which again provided a lack of privacy to the bedroom and inconvenience to the occupants. That bathroom was shared by four couples
The barbecue was in a bad unkept unclean state. It took a good half hour to be ready to use and no appropriate cleaning tools/equipment was provided.
Not a great stay for eleven adults

Dear guests, it clearly states on the plans they are adjoining rooms. We get mostly families here with children. And guests have mentioned it has been handy to have their children near by. We have not had a complained before.
There are tools for the bbq and cleaning products and if our cleaners missed the bbq we do apologise.
We always get 5 stars and great reviews.
We are sorry you didn’t feel the same about your stay.
Warm Regards,
Adam and Erika
Beautiful location for a weekend away with our two families.
A great set off point for many walks. Also the perfect property for both kids and adults to enjoy - the kids loved building a "hut" in the adjoining forest whilst the parents read and drank wine by the fire. Idyllic.
We loved everything about Adam's place! It was perfect for our stay, so homely. The facilities were great, the kitchen nice and spacious, plenty of hot water for showers for the 8 of us, and the yard was amazing- such stunning views! There was plenty of room both inside and out. Close to town, but we made sure to spend some time at the house during the late afternoon to utilise the fire pits and the beautiful piano. We would love to stay again.

It was lovely meeting you all and you looked after Grangehill so well. Thankyou for collecting some extra wood I found stacked next to the spit below the bbq area. Grangehill was left clean and it made my change over a breeze.
Love to have you stay again
Adam
Hi Mavis,
Great to meet you all for 5min and show you around the place. Having 3 generations from 1 up to 70 years staying at Grangehill / enjoying the Grand piano and all the other facilities was lovely.
Hope to see you all again up on the mountain.
Kind regards
Adam
We had a lovely stay at Grangehill - we were immediately blown away by the stunning grounds and views to Hanging Rock. We had 3 toddlers in tow and the house was safe and easily accommodated us. Lovely to stay cosy by the fire however it did get chilly in the mornings before we could get the fire going again. There are many windows and they aren’t double glazed, and the central heating was not available. That being said there are oil heaters in the bedrooms and electric blankets so we were extremely comfortable and snug overnight.
We also had a slight issue with the hot water as we didn’t know that we should shower/run baths in the morning. Adam let us know how to boost the hot water after we contacted him and we didn’t have a problem the second night.
Adam was easily contactable and a friendly and relaxed host. He was flexible with the check out time.
Thanks for having us Adam!
Adam was a very helpful host and always accessible. We had a problem with the hot water and Adam was very apologetic. The house is perched up a mountain with a fabulous view across to Hanging Rock. The flip side was isolation and a steep drive up a narrow dirt road. It was not conducive to going out for dinner in the evening but the house has a large well equipped kitchen, so we were happy to cook at home.

Perfect getaway
Perfect weekend away to escape from busy family life. The property and views were beautiful. Adam was very considerate and called while we were enroute, and welcomed us when we arrived. The property itself was in spotless condition, with nothing to fault. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a getaway.

Getaway to the mountains
Our family went away for a much needed break and pulling up at Grangehill was like a breath of fresh air and the views were stunning, especially of hanging rock. All the grandchildren had a ball roaming around the property and it felt very safe for them. As it was just before Easter we had a fun Easter egg hunt. Adam was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we were comfortable. Plenty of beds too for the 11 of us. All the fires inside and out were set for us to stay warm at night with the outside fire being a hit to sit by and cook marshmallows. We had a wonderful stay, thanks so much Adam and most certainly will return one day. Debra & Paul Costin and family.

Brilliant weekend away
A group of 7 ladies enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Grangehill. Adam made us so very welcome and was always on the end of the phone if we needed more wood or advice on a walk near by. Awesome views of the ranges and Hanging rock. Everything we needed was nearby but felt like we were miles from anywhere. Highly recommend

Perfect cozy getaway
My family I spent one of the best weekends away. We had some exploring plans, but the rain kept us inside mostly. The 12 of us had a ball with all the recreational facilities. Our host, Adam, was very friendly and helped us out with all our requests. Definitely heading back in the Summer. Thanks Adam.

Fantastic
My husband and I loved Grangehill so much that we extended our stay. The property is beautifully situated. Hanging Rock glows in the distance and disappears and reappears magically in the mist. Grangehill is up high, on a large block of land in the romantic bush. The house is very spacious and comfortable, warm and clean. The fire is delightful. The kitchen is terrific for entertaining. The host is wonderfully welcoming and exceptionally helpful. We are telling all our friends and family and look forward to returning!
