It is a great property located behind the high street. Images probably don't do it justice as the pool was bigger than expected, and the views were excellent!
Property is very good and comfortable. It is in a very noisy area. Music from the neighbourhood pub every night then skip bins emptied exhaust fans on neighbours waterfall and leaf blowers each morning from 6
Central location with lots of room to hang out after exploring Port Douglas
We loved the location of the property and enjoyed our stay. It was a 5-10 min stroll down to the dock for our excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. The property was very nice, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. The size was perfect hanging out with 7 adults. We did need to contact the property management one evening for an issue that was our fault and they came out to the property that evening to resolve the issue.
This property is gorgeous, definitely had the wow factor when we walked in. It is well appointed with amazing views and everyone was super lovely to deal with. Some property instructions would have been handy as we struggled work out a few appliances and couldn't find the laundry and then when we did find it we couldn't get the washing machine to work (but who wants to do laundry on holidays anyway!). Also, if you're after a quiet peaceful retreat this might not be the property for you, the sound from live music in town travels up the hill and straight in till well after midnight most nights. Overall though it was a gorgeous property, everything is at your doorstep, you can walk into town and to the beach, and we had an amazing time, thank you!
We loved this property -- it's exceptional, and one of the best we've ever rented. The location, views, cleanliness and unique design are wonderful. What we didn't love was the fact that the adjacent unit is undergoing renovation. Since the property manager manages both properties they should have communicated with us that this was happening. Parking and property access were a challenge, along with occasional noise. Having the water cut off multiple times without notice was unacceptable, particularly as the second time we were in the process of getting ready to check out. The management company did not even respond to messages the second time the water was cut off. They are part of Hometime, who manage 2000 properties around Australia -- seems like they are unable to keep up with them all.
