About this property

Original renovated property on the waterfront

PERIWINKLE Beach is a 3 bedroom property that accommodates up to 4/5 guests and is absolute beachfront. This is the maximum number of people to stay no other caravans or beds or tents are to be used to increase guest numbers.
Open plan modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, dining area with sea views, lounge with TV, DVD. There is no wi-fi at the property, and we hope this helps you to talk to one another, enjoy your surroundings, play and read books etc. There is mobile coverage.

Outdoor setting under verandah, sit, relax and enjoy a BBQ whilst taking in the beautiful views of the bay. Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, queen quilt cover, sheets for queen beds, towels, bath mat and tea towels. There is one child size bunk. Best to bring a sleeping bags for the kids.

Pt Turton has an excellent boat ramp, jetty, Tavern, general store with fuel, ice, bait, general groceries, delicious home made pastries and take away foods
No smoking inside. NO PETS - this includes visiting pets, any pets sighted at property will result in loss of bond. Also having additional people at the property over the agreed number will result in loss of bond. Please respect the space, our neighbours, many of whom live there permanently.

Wonderful location, easy check in, clean, tidy and great communication from the host. The only think I could suggest would be a washing machine. We stayed stayed for a week and that would have have been great help.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!

Our host charge us an extremely large amount for apparently breaking a wooden deck chair by sitting on it which has been outside in the elements of rain, sun, wind etc for many years. My friend sat on the chair who is by the way of average weight, and the seat collapse a bit on him. We thought nothing of it because we just assume the chair was already broken or was already in a very poor state. I explained all this to the host, however, the host still charge us for the repairs. I have serious questions about this which the host did not answer such as how old is the deck chair? How long has the deck chair been outside under the weather? Did they ever consider if the breakage was due to wear and tear? The property itself is more like a beach shack, a bit run down and messy with things already broken such as the screen door which has fallen off its rail and we actually put it back together for the host. Inside, there's two average size bedroom and a very small third room. The couch is quite dirty with multiple stains on it. The kitchen is spacious enough and it does have plenty of pots, pans and utensils if you want to cook. Outside on the deck there's various furniture which has obviously been under the weather elements for many years but has a beach charm to it. Overall, the property is in a great location. It has a very beach shack feel to it and we did enjoy out stay. However, the host lack empathy and understanding and i would give my bussiness elsewhere next time.

Second time coming back, easy process, clean, plenty of things to use in the house which is a lovely touch so you don’t need to bring little things like soap or pepper etc. makes the difference! Good spot, perfect view.

Two nights- lovely getaway.

We stayed two nights on our way through to Innes for some camping. It was tidy, clean and had all the facilities you needed. Right on the beach and spent 90% of our time outside on the deck or nearby at the playground. Despite not using all of the rooms, my daughter enjoyed playing hide n seek in the rooms. Would return and bring some extend family to make the most of the beds! Easy communication and clear instructions for entry. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolute beachfront with grassed area in front and great walking path. Tidal beach so good exploring opportunities with crabs and starfish to find. Fun fishing with family on the jetty. Fabulous deck with good seating options. House is well maintained shack-style with a fun, colourful, artistic aesthetic that’s so easy to relax in. Easy kitchen with everything you’d need. All facilities were clean and easy to use. Port Turton is a gem on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula. Great stay. We’d love to come back and stay for longer in your fabulous house. Thanks Sarah

Great Shack with amazing location!

Our family of 5 had an amazing time at this location! Small three bedroom updated shack with everything we needed! Fully equipped kitchen, nice outdoor area with BBQ and great sitting. The deck was to die for.. waking up to this view was great, drinking coffee under the verandah. Kids enjoyed to be right in front of the beach.

Perfect view

We had eight nights at Periwinkle and we loved it. From the beach the shack has this really funky and unique look about it. The deck was fantastic where we had many a meal or just sat and looked out at view of the ocean. Kid friendly and functional kitchen/living area. Love being able to walk along the esplanade with no road in front making it safe for young kids. We had a wonderful time.

It’s a quiet country fishing town with lots of bird life, walking tracks and an amazing playground with a bike track.

What makes this property unique

This place is an original home and has been renovated. There is a very cute little lizard that may come out from behind the toilet at night to say hello but it is very shy.
