Perfect location for exploring the Prom
Promhill Cabins are perfectly located – next door to Yanakee General store and petrol station, and very close to our point of interest – the beautiful Wilsons Prom. The entrance to the Prom and one of the highlights of our visit – the Big Drift – are a mere 5 min drive from the cabins. We stayed in one of the eco tents (which was a new experience for us) and we really liked it. The tent was very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything we could need. The wild weather during our stay was a bit of a worry initially, but the tent remained warm and cosy despite the low temperatures and very strong winds. It has to be said that light sleepers and people sensitive to noise may find the noise levels challenging (lots of birds singing their hearts out before dawn, canvas flapping in the wind, etc.) but you would expect that when choosing to stay in a tent. The complimentary( good quality!) earplugs helped a lot, too :) We genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere and the serenity of this rural property. Our communication with the hosts was excellent and the information they provided before our stay was comprehensive and very helpful. We arrived on my birthday and were greeted with a birthday card and a bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch! We would definitely recommend Promhill Cabins and we hope to revisit one day.
The eco tent was fantastic. Very relaxing visit with some great attractions.
cosy and dry!
Despite the wild weather during our stay, inside the tent was dry and warm (heaters provided). The only issue was the strong wind, which rattled the tent around during the night, but can't control the weather! Wilsons Prom is beautiful. Will be back.
Promhills Cabins was a fantastic experience!!! The alpacas were a joy to look at and were so friendly. My partner and I enjoyed every moment in our Eco tent! It was far better than what I expected with great facilities, a BBQ and great heating.
Angela was fantastic !!
Definitely will be back and I am recommending to all family and friends!!
Glamping at it's best!
My partner and I loved our stay in their Eco Tent. The cabin tent was remarkably clean, comfortably warm, and well-equipped for a glamping experience! The location was great as it was a little further away from Tidal River to avoid the crowds, but close enough to enjoy all of it's activities just a short drive away. Communication with the hosts were also very good and they provided lots of useful information about the area. I highly recommend them and will look to book again in the near future.
Conveniently located on the edge of the Yanakie township. Just 5 minutes from the entrance gates of Wilsons Promontory National Park and a short walk to Yanakie's town centre, the Yanakie General Store, Wilsons Prom Café, playground, campdraft arena and tennis courts.
Promhills is private and peaceful, close to pristine beaches and a range of activities and attractions. Yanakie is centrally located, only 5 minutes to Wilsons Promontory National Park and within easy driving distance to Tidal River, Foster, Fish Creek, Sandy Point and Waratah Bay and a pleasant day trip to Phillip Island or Tarra Bulga National Park

About Sean & Angela Taylor
We purchased Promhills Cabins in May 2007 and made the big move from Sydney as "seachangers". However, the glamping tents weren't added to the property until late 2016. We love living here and exploring the local area and Wilsons Prom. We will gladly advise what to see, where to go, where to dine and give directions to 'secret' spots generally not advertised in the tourist brochures.
