Family accommodation just 5 minutes walk to the beach

SUNTAN COTTAGE

This is a four bedroom newly extended weatherboard cottage located in a quiet area of Ocean Grove and ideally suited to one or two families (sleeps 9, maximum of 6 adults).

Two of the bedrooms each have Queen sized beds, the other rooms have either a single and trundle bed, or a bunk bed (single on top & double below). Rooms with queen sized beds have ceiling fans. There are 2 bathrooms, a combined kitchen, dining area and family room with air conditioning. There is also a separate lounge. Both living areas have gas heating and overhead fans. There is a decking area and a large shed with a table tennis table and magnetic dart board.

This property is a 5 minute walk to the surf beach. It is close to a popular café on the marine parade for morning coffee, breakfast or lunch after your morning walk on the beach. On the beach you can see Point Lonsdale lighthouse in the distance, and in the opposite direction the Bluff at Barwon Heads.

You are close to the Ocean Grove Market Place Shopping centre (straight up the road in the opposite direction to the beach), about 5 minutes by car to the main Ocean Grove Shopping Centre and a short drive further along to Barwon Heads after crossing the Barwon River. The banks of the Barwon River are a popular spot for families with small children, with a playground nearby. Barwon Heads also has a number of boutique shops and cafes.

Ocean Grove is conveniently situated, for a drive to Point Lonsdale, Port Arlington and Queenscliff. There are various vineyards you can call in and taste their wine and many good restaurants including: The Mex, Lelane at the Bowling Club, Napona, Oakdene, pubs at Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads, Jack Rabbit, and The Flying Brick Cider restaurant to name a few.

Alternatively you can drive to Torquay and visit the surf shops and Surf Coast. In the summer months there are numerous craft markets to visit in the area,

Great family house close to beach

We loved our stay at Suntan Cottage. A simple house, very clean and comfortable with lots of attention to detail in regard to supplies and equipment (eg a tea pot and a coffee plunger!). Several communal spaces inside and out make it easy to share with different age groups and 2 families could share easily also. A quick walk to the beach or a quick drive to the patrolled section gives you good options each day.

Property nar the beach and a great cafe, especially after my early morning walk. The house was clean and tidy and had enough space for my family of 5 to play inside and out. The house had all amenities required and we had a great stay.

Suntan Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. It accommodates well with two living areas. It’s quiet and close to the lovely beach which is unpatrolled. The table tennis table was a bit of fun.

Excellent large house with everything you need

This house was excellent. Four large bedrooms, 3 living areas and a well equipped kitchen made it a comfortable stay for our two families with small children. Outdoor space had BBQ and table tennis table, two TV areas and an additional space we used as a play room. The two bathrooms were clean and laundry was well equipped for a week long stay. This house had little extras like plenty of detergent, washing powder, salt and pepper, foil, enough toilet paper for our week etc which are often missed from holiday houses and can make a bigreat difference to your overall experience. We stayed over new years and there was even champagne and chocolates in the fridge for us. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach, close to Cheeky Cow cafe. Magnificent. Highly recommend. Thanks for the stay.
