Great hosts and lovely property

Communicating with our hosts couldn’t have been easier as Stephen was super responsive and helpful. The property was better than the pictures, extremely clean and very comfortable. The view from the deck was superb and the gardens were beautiful. Quality linen and plenty of towels and the breakfast provisions were more than we were expecting. Highly recommended

A mixed experience

Some real lovely positives including beautiful views, hot tub, and location. However we did find the bed & pillows to be incredibly uncomfortable and the lay out the property itself wasn’t ideal. The stairs down to the bedroom were a little unsafe as only half are carpeted. Also it is a shame that with the lovely big garden, dogs have to be on leash. Not as private as would be expected considering the property we stayed in was attached to the main house with all the properties on site sharing the same big garden, the description could have made things a lot clearer.

Excellent. Well worth it. The only disappointing thing. "Pet Friendly" The dogs could not roam the surroundings unless on a leash and could not be contained within the property we we staying in. Would have liked to stay longer. The spa was a treat. Note. Some of the roads leading there are not maintained. Pot holes here and there...

The perfect getaway for some R&R!

My husband and I stayed at the Verandah View Cottage for 5 nights with our two little dogs and every part of our stay was absolutely perfect. Before our arrival we received a call from Stephen to ensure we were all set and upon arrival we were met by Chevonne to ensure we were okay getting in. We enjoyed daily dips in the gorgeous jacuzzi spa while watching the sunset, a perfect way to stay warm and relax at the end of the day! We also enjoyed daily walks around the grounds with our dogs, and the local sites and activities. The property was beautifully kept, very clean, neat and tidy and we were pleased to find breakfast as well as tea and coffee provisions stocked in the kitchen. The gorgeous downstairs bedroom has a beautiful view of the gardens, and the queen bed was very comfortable and beautiful made when we arrived. We would love to visit Holly Lodge again soon!!

Beautiful setting, comforting acccommodation

The rooms are much bigger than it appears in pictures, with a big comfortable bed with a wonderful breakfast table and lounger outside. The lounge is large with big comfy chairs and a large dinner table adjoining a kitchen with all the bits you need including a nice little coffee machine. The bathroom is roomy with a large great flow shower. The winner is the upper deck, just off the kitchen with a lounge alfresco and a great hot tub with stunning views of the melbourne city lights through the trees. You have to try this one if you come to the dandenongs nothing to date has compared.

Elegant and modern yet cosy cottage with a pretty view

Stayed for two very relaxing nights. The spa overlooking the beautiful view was charming. My boyfriend and I love to cook so it was great to have a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The grounds of the property are stunning and it’s definitely worth walking around for a good nature fix. We highly recommend.

Gorgeous location, great continental brekkie, good facilities, excellent shower and attentive host. Only downside - very slow internet/wifi but I think that's common for the area.
