About this property

The Allyn River Cabins - "Riverside"

The cabins are for those seeking seclusion and a chance to get away from all the hustle.

The cabin is situated on the banks of the pristine Allyn River.. which runs through our 125 acre property. Enjoy a walk up the back of the property for magnificent views over the Allyn River Valley. Or do a little exploring through the old growth rainforest.

This cabin is RIVERSIDE We also have another identical cabin call on another listing on the Allyn River Cabins - "Riverview"

We have recently upgraded to include Starlink internet so now cabins have internet available, you can also call using wifi calling if you need.

In extreme wet weather conditions the main access to the cabins may be impassable. It is essential you have AWD or 4wd. In the event that you are unable reach the cabins via the alternate route there may be the possibility that your booking is cancelled and refunded. However if you do not have AWD or 4wd and the route is passable via these vehicles then you will not be refunded.


Each cabin consists of :
# 2 Queen size bedrooms ( sleeping a maximum of 4 each)
# 2 person spa bath
# log fire
#air conditioning
# full kitchen
# tv/dvd
# wifi and chromecast
# Balcony to die for with tables, chair and bbq looking directly over the Allyn River.
# All linen
# Firewood is provide along with a selection of books, mags and board games.
# 10 litres of drinking water is provide.


Pets are welcome but subject to managers approval and Pet Waiver and a refundable $100 bond..

The Barrington Tops National Park and State forest are only 3km away. A great spot for bush walking or swimming at the breathtaking Ladies Wells.

Maybe take the effort to drive up Mt Allyn and take a walk through the Burraga Swamp, it feels like a place lost in time.

Please note that you do not get television reception or mobile phone reception, however we do have Starlink so you can stream and wifi call if required.
If you like to take a nice walk up the paddocks behind the cabin you will get reception with Telstra.

Serenity, we took our little dog who had fun running around the property, we loved sitting on the deck and hearing the river, so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, definitely a piece of paradise.

Lovely couple of days

Lovely cabin right on the river. Especially loved the fireplace and comfy bed. It is a 45min drive back to the next small town so take all your supplies with you. Unfortunately we had quite a bit of rain which hampered our outdoor plans but would be great in summer.

Allyn river offline retreat

Amazingly serene place. The sound of the river was always so nice to wake up too. The cows roaming around the were super friendly and chill! Lots of nice swimming holes along the river to enjoy. We didn’t get a chance to have a little log fire because of weather but we hat would’ve been great. I guess we will have to try that next time !! Wish we could’ve stayed longer Thanks Sandy and Mark

A Cabin in the Mountains

The Allyn River cabin was peaceful and has a direct river view and access. The woodfire was delightful as was the spa bath that fits two people. We enjoyed a couple of daytime BBQs on the deck and even cooked up a damper on the outdoor firepit by the river. The cabin had everything we needed and the bedroom was very comfortable and had leafy views. A walk by the river found many holes for swimming when we come ba k in summer. If we came again we'd bring a crab dilly as there is no fish but apparently some crabs or Cray's. I downloaded my Netflix and tunes before arriving which is a must and watched movies in the Spa with my laptop and boombox. It was magic. The sound of the river running across the stones was very peaceful. We drove up the road to Lady falls which would be lovely in summer also. We made used of the games provided and cooked up a great beef roast while enjoying a few red wines by the fire. If your looking for some time away to recharge then this place is ideal.

What a little gem of a place. The river noise was so relaxing, chilling on the verandah was truly serene. Our little dogs had a ball. We felt all our cares drift away and went home rejuvenated. The cabin was well equipped with all that we needed.

Amazing property

The photos don't fully capture the beauty of this location or the amenity of the cabin itself. There are 2 large bedrooms each with a double bed, a well equipped kitchen and long dining table. There are plenty of walks in wilderness and other activities in the neighbourhood.
