Also being right on the beach in a fantastic location, certainly helps with the enjoyment of staying at the Coachhouse on the Beach. Hi Mariella Thanks for your comments, we really appreciate them. So many of our guests have commented on how both Narrabeen and Collaroy (we are in the middle of both of them), are villages, rather than towns, which makes for a great atmosphere. It is like going up the coast to a small place on the north coast without the hassle of the long drive and traffic. We look forward to the next time you would like a holiday on the beach, in a quiet location, without the tedium of driving 4-5 hours. Given this guest’s completely negative review, we felt that it was appropriate to answer her concerns in detail, so our apologies for the length of this reply. This guest seemed to have her own problems before even entering our property, deciding initially in complaining to our cleaners and then complaining about everything. In 7 years we have never had a guest like this. The bathroom had been completely repainted a week before she arrived, there was no mold The inside of a kitchen utensil drawer had ink stains at the end from a previous guest’s pen, it wasn’t dirty This apartment is listed as being on the second floor, of course it has 2 sets of stairs to be able to see the magnificent views up and down the beach and out to sea. As we are on right on the beach, occasionally guests have sand on their feet when they come up the stairs, which are cleaned daily. This apartment faces out to the ocean, and occasionally guests confuse the sound of the waves crashing with traffic noise. All of our apartments are professionally cleaned after each guest’s stay. The bedrooms all have opening windows and so do the kitchen and lounge. Some windows are non-opening due to the safety regulations regarding height. There is also an air conditioner, if guests do not wish to have the sea breezes in their apartment. The oven and stove do work, we have safety switches in all apartments, which are designed to trip to protect people. During her stay, during a major rain storm (which makes them more sensitive), the oven switch tripped, she let us know and we immediately reset the switch. It did not trip off again. We provide all of our guests with a complementary welcome pack on arrival for free, with various foods and drink. A small packet of short life biscuits had just gone out of date. However, she did consume the numerous other items that we had provided This apartment is on the second floor. To access to the large beachfront yard, guests never need to leave our property, going down the stairs, through a gate into the yard and beach. We have a number of tables and chairs and different seating areas to accommodate our guests. If a guest has legitimate complaint, we always want to hear about it so we can keep making our offering to them better. Unfortunately, this guest had a different agenda. Once completing her stay, this guest then demanded that we give her free accommodation or she would write a bad review. We did not give in to her outrageous demand and so she wrote this inaccurate negative review. Again apologies for the long explanation, however I felt that the inaccuracies of this review needed to be highlighted. As you can see with all of our other reviews, this review is completely out of character with what other guests have complimented on.
