Rocky Tops is a large family home set on acreage in the historic township of Dalgety with amazing rural, river and mountain views. It overlooks the famous Snowy River and is a great family venue for visiting Kosciusko National Park . It has the quiet appeal of small country town without the hustle and bustle of Jindabyne but still only 50 minutes drive to the ski fields of Thredbo and Perisher.

Rocky Tops is clean, cozy and comfortable and can accommodate up to 10 people. It is ideal for large families wanting a peaceful getaway all year round. It is a 2 storey residence and comprises of 4 bedrooms.
FIRST FLOOR has kitchen, dining, living room, main bathroom, laundry and second toilet.
Bedroom one has 1 queen bed, bedroom two has 1 double and 2 single beds.
SECOND FLOOR, third bedroom (loft style) has 1 queen bed and 1 king single bed. Bedroom four has 1 king size bed and 1 king single bed with an ensuite.
All beds are comfy and clean with mattress protectors, pillows and plenty of blankets and donnas. Linen is supplied.

Fabulous fireplace and reverse cycle air conditioning located in the living, dining area - that is warm, cozy and heats the whole house. Firewood supplied.

The kitchen hosts most mod-cons. Including dishwasher, kitchen appliances and essential cooking needs. There is a BBQ located just outside the kitchen and a comfortable outdoor setting. Outside fireplace for watching those evening sunsets over the mountains.

Washing machine, dryer and toilet located in laundry.
Parking is not a problem at Rocky Tops, there is plenty of area.

The township of Dalgety offers an historic feel to the Snowy Mountains. The local Buckley's Crossing Hotel, approximately seven minute walk is worthy of a visit to capture some of Australia's heritage. Meals are available most evenings and children are welcome.

Grocery shopping located in either Cooma or Jindabyne.

The Snowy Mountains offers NSW best ski fields during winter and attracts visitors from all over Australia.In summer visitors can enjoy trout fishing and boating in Lake Jindabyne and the Snowy River along with mountain bike riding and hiking in Kosciusko National Park .

Perfect winter stay

This will be my second time staying at rocky tops and again I was not disappointment. It’s Very clean and well kept. It was the perfect winter stay and had everything we needed.Ample firewood that kept us warm through out our stay. I’m looking forward to our next stay at Rocky tops.

Great Family Stay

We had a fabulous stay at Rocky Tops. My wife and I and our adult children had cosy evenings by the fire between our days of skiing. I would love to do the same again next year.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The location was so peaceful and relaxing and the place was super clean and comfortable. The fireplace was absolutely amazing! Kept the whole house nice and warm! Awesome house

Great place to stay if you want to be close to the snow but away from the hussle and bussle. The fireplace warms the whole house and makes it nice and cosy. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to relax close to the snow.

Awesome home

Great property with amazing views out to the snow capped mountains. The home is so comfortable and homely. So easy to relax here with a glass of wine and a good book in front of the fire. Will definitely be back.

Very spacious throughout the home and well thought out seats outside in the yard taking in views and pockets of welcome sunlight. It is a credit to the owner for having such a wonderful home for others to use and enjoy.

Very enjoyable stay

Property was lovely. We all really enjoyed the stay. The kids loved exploring the property and the younger ones loved the sheep. Fire place kept everything warm even when it was -6 outside. Nice country road drive to Jindabyne which takes between 25 - 30 mins. All in all a pleasurable experience. Thanks Dan and Kylie

Beautiful location and country feels

This is our second stay at this property and both times, it has been absolutely amazing. The property owners are good with communication when I had questions and the check in process is super easy. The property itself has the beautiful alpine country feel and all the modern and traditional facilities you would need for a wonderful stay. There is plenty of room and storage. Plus the price is well worth it if you are wanting to head up to the ski fields for the day. I highly recommend this property for a beautiful country stay. We will be returning again.

One of the best holidays

RockyTops was perfect place for our christmas holiday with family and friends. close to the mountains, escaping the heat of summer. The proximity to the snowy river was awesome, which was great for end of day walking or mountain biking.I loved each mornings sitting on the deck with a coffee, gazing at the view.One night we all went down for a meal at the local pub, which is a pleasant short work from RockyTops, and food was wonderful staff pleasant.Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a place to totally relax and enjoy the clean air of the mountains.We will be back for winter…..

Rocky Tops-Dalgety

Absolutely fantastic stay! Thank you for allowing us to experience and explore beautiful area. The house has everything - views, quietness, localisation. Kitchen, living area wit tv, a combustion fireplace and table for 8, two bedrooms , bathroom and laundry with seperate toilet on the ground floor . First floor has a master bedroom with bathroom and open plan sleeping area with tv. Short walk to the town centre- Hotel , bar and restaurant , historical bridge and Snowy River. Berridale 13 min drive Jindabyne 30 min and Thredbo 50 min drive.

Hidden Gem

Dan and Kylie’s place was absolute beautiful. The place was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed. You wont regret staying here and wish you had booked to stay longer. My family and I were ready to check out on time but had major car trouble. Dan was so understanding and allowed my family and I to stay inside to keep warm while we sorted out our car issues. I can’t wait to book again for next year. Thank you Dan and Kylie for allowing us to experience the beauty of your land and house.

Fantastic views and gorgeous property

Our first impressions of the property were that it was so much better than what we saw on the pictures on the internet. The house was very spacious and had all the modern and traditional comforts we needed for our stay. The fireplaces were gorgeous and a welcomed edition for that alpine feel. We loved seeing the sheep and the cute chapel at the back. The views from the property were amazing as we could see the Snowy River and snow capped mountains in the distance. My only slight negative was that the mattresses were very firm but that’s only because I usually prefer a plush feel mattress thanks to my back issues. Overall, the property was everything we could ask for, was clean and presented well, affordable and close enough to the snow resorts. We will definitely be coming again!

family adventure

The house was everything a family of 7 adults and 3 children would possibly need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances for our every need. Dalgety is a small rural town with limited food outlets, so to have a kitchen that we were able to be self-sufficient was fantastic. Wonderful stay.

Property and owners were great!! Dalgety and local council let them down massively.

Rocky tops is an amazing property, the house is nice and private. Dalgety on the other hand, let this stay down massively. The space: The bedrooms and bathroom downstairs were all nice, the fireplace does a great job to heat up the bottom level of house and plenty of wood to burn. The upstairs bedrooms and ensuite were also very nice with the small issue of heating in the master bedroom upstairs not really being adequate, but plenty of linen provided. The Owners/Managers: Really nice interactions with plenty of communication making sure we were ok, and helped with whatever issue we had. They live off-site so a telstra network phone is required to make contact with owners. The location: As mentioned above Telstra is the only network available in Dalgety area so that is a must for whenever off wifi. Dalgety before COVID probably would have been a nice little country town with some stuff available to do/see, but since COVID it is now a ghost town. The roads to dalgety from jindabyne were almost undrivable with potholes taking up entire sections of the road to where it was unavoidable. The information on the printout and ad definitely needs to be updated as all the businesses are pretty much shut permanently with the exception of the pub which is only open a few days a week. Summary: Great house with very minor issues (4.9/5), beautiful property and nice views (4.8/5), owners were extremely helpful and nice, with the simple change of ad info about what is around the area needed (4.5/5), Dalgety is pretty much dead with extremely limited businesses for simple stuff like general store items or meals (0/5). OVERALL (3 or 3.5)/5
