Beautiful Oasis

This is a gorgeous property which delivers exactly what is promised. The host was very responsive about a small issue and resolved it very quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Photos do not represent the property - a mismatch

Thank you Unfortunately the photos on the internet are property staged, stylised and interiorly decorated. They present a warm inspiring house. The reality is quite different unfortunately. The house is grotty, the furnishings and some fittings (both indoors and outdoors) are old, dirty, mismatched both in style and colour with random pieces of mismatched furniture throughout. The bed covers are worn and old, all the cushions are worn and old and even dirty. Many wall hangings have been removed - hooks still present, few ornaments. The property is cold and uninviting. Many of the fittings are worn and yellowed/tarnished. When we entered the house, we were greeted by a dirty, broken, rusted bin! The first thing you see. The reason for my complaint is that it is via luxuryretreats. This is NOT a luxury retreat. It needs a makeover OR new photos taken OR a disclaimer. The area however is magical and wonderful, this could be promoted NOT the house. Thank you for your time ps I have numerous photos which back up what I say pps also the hot water in the main bedroom shower didnt work, yes I could have called the owner but at my luxury retreat why wasnt it checked and in working order before I arrive, the same applies to the oven

Great for families

We (2 adults, 3yr old and 8mth old) stayed for 2 weeks and found this house perfect for a family trip. The house is very well equipped and had everything we needed. Wonga Beach is extremely peaceful and relaxed compared to Port Douglas, but is still close enough to drive in for dinner. We will definitely be back next year!
