When checking in there were to people at the desk and neither greeted us. We had to speak first, which seemed a bit rude. Studio was a little tired. Needed a refresh. AC was good, but there was a musty smell coming from it. Might need to change out the filter more often. Toilet needed to be flushed a few times to get your #2 to completely flush. Bar was nice and the grassy area was nice to sit at. Check out the morning staff was friendly and went quick.
The cabin was cozy and comfortable. There were some coffee cups in the cupboard that were dirty, but they were probably left there by previous guests. Pictures of the yard were a little misleading. We thought we were closer to the lake, but it was actually through the neighbors yard that we could see. My sister had a hard time trying to work the tv. Instructions would be nice for those not familiar. But we did have a great stay there and i would recommend them.
So we had a chance to stay in the studio cottage. It was lovely. We had to switch to the "hotel" portion to extend our stay another night as the studio was booked.
BAD IDEA.
The hotel was awful. We moved our stuff into a room that I was scared to walk on the carpet barefoot. The furniture was old and the bed was questionable... We were about to decide to stick it out when a MOUSE ran across the floor.
We checked out. Do NOT stay in the hotel portion.

It wasn't quite what was pictured
On the day we pulled up in front of Waterfront Mary's, we realized it didn't quite look like the pictures. It was quite run down and definitely needed work inside and out...broken chairs, cords outside everywhere that could easily be tripped on, stuff piled against the building,....and one of the most odd things--there was no ladies bathroom inside the bar...you had to go OUTSIDE. There is a fish cleaning station connected to the cottage which was a shock. After cleaning the cottage (spiderwebs,bugs,...) we did find it to be cozy. There were plenty of towels that smelled fresh and it did have a well stocked kitchen. The bed definitely needs to be bigger! A double bed is not big enough for 2 average adults. We had nice weather and the beach was clean. Small, but clean. The service was slow and everything took awhile to get...food and drinks. Average food. Could use fixing up.
Check in to check out, everything was simple and exactly what we expected. We were very pleased with the accommodations, and the location was close to everything we wanted to do in door county.
Very nice … great to have a peaceful place to stay

Overall it was good!
The first day we arrived there were a lot of little bugs on the ceiling. After we killed them all there were not many more for the rest of the stay but it was very gross the first day/night. Other than that, everything was clean and just as pictured in the listing. We had a very good time during our stay at door county!

Convenient Door County location with nice view
Cute fully furnished cottage, perfect for two people. Nice back yard with a lake view. Cute small beach and free use of kayaks and paddle boards; free continental breakfast included with stay. Wonderful sand volley ball - always packed with young people. Plenty of room for lounging around the entire property. Walk to the Potawatomi State Park just down the dead end road. Great fish boil. Very busy motel with 2 cottages and bar/restaurant, so lots of guests, locals, boaters, dogs, etc. They also rent out watercraft. Can be very loud on weekend nights due to motorcycles and people enjoying the outside bar/restaurant/volleyball. Crowded parking lot with no designated parking for guests, especially at cabins (bummer). Lots of families with young children, but also couples. Conveniently located to much of what Door County offers.
