Our stay at Kona reef property was amazing. I was not expecting an ocean front view so that was really beautiful the ability to come and go as I please without having to walk through a lobby or up and down elevators and the ability to cook my own food and and do laundry for the amount of time that we were there, was very convenient.

Kitchenware was a limited. The bathroom sink drained slowly. Otherwise it was adequate but still a good deal given the price. The location is excellent and the pool was nice.

The condo was exactly as described, a little dated but had all the amenities we needed. This condo is located in a great location close to downtown and easy walk to many shops, bars and restaurants. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool area is fabulous. Spent several morning in the deck drinking coffee and watching whales out in the ocean.

Stay was good after comparing it to our past Hawaiian trips

The ocean view was good as advertised, and the property was kept up well and clean.

Parking was convenient, easy access to Main Street, the linens had holes , towels were well worn, bath in need of an upgrade, great view of pool and ocean. Living room furniture also well worn, outdoor furniture needs replacing. Had to have a new dryer installed during our stay. Left 2 days early because of some of these issues

Linens do NOT have holes, They are new every 3 months. Housekeeper would never use linens that had holes. Same with towels, every three months new ones. Yes, dryer broke during the guests stay. Any appliance can break without warning. It was replaced in less than 48 hours with a new one and guest had access to adjacent unit washer and dryer so as not to be inconvenienced for the day prior to delivery of the new dryer.. However, this guest wanted a significant discount "for the inconvenience of the dryer breaking" (although never inconvenienced) or would post a negative review. So they did. Early departure was due to inclement weather, not lack of dryer, or linens, or towels.

Lovely lanai/location. Parking convenient. Handy washer/dryer in unit. But unit seriously needs updating and has seen better days. Drape over head board very old/dirty. Sofa past it's prime and could use replacing. Towels very thin and see thru.

Sweet little condo

Kona reef is a small older condo but very well taken care of and maintained. The pool area is nice and has a family feel. The ocean and beach are steps away. Old town Kona is a short walk as well though on a busy road.

Perfect Place

Clean, quiet and the perfect place for viewing a beautiful sunset right from the lanai. Great pool, great hot tub and excellent grilling area with family or friends. Great place just to lay your head if you’re not there as well. We explored everyday from morning till dinner. Highly recommend!

Room was a bit musty smelling when we got there but didn't last long. The only real complaint we had was the toilet paper. It was so thin you could see through it! Other than that fabulous experience.

Perfect Location

Condo with a view of the ocean and located walking distance to everything in Kona. Two AC units were great. Provided beach chairs and towels. Small beach next door was perfect when we didn’t want to go far. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay

The property was great. We assumed that because there was elevators that there was wheelchair access. Watching and hearing the waves, whales, boats, surfers from our deck was wonderful. Close to the center of everything was wonderful. In all we enjoyed our visit very much

This location is wonderful. This room; not-so-much. It’s VERY outdated and parts of it are really dirty. We didn’t run the a/c because I had an allergic reaction every time we turned it on. The furniture was filthy and the outdoor table and chairs are literally falling apart. There are plenty of dishes for eating and cooking.

The unit and most everything in it is old. A good modernization would make the property much more appealing. Location is great, view is as advertised.

Nice location within walking distance to shops and beaches!

Nice stay at this very quiet condo in a great location! Found the lagoon nearby a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. The fridge was quite old with the door seal having a gap, which wouldn’t be good for the appliance. Also worth noting is a bit of a stale smell in the living room area.

The condo met our needs as place to stay. The condition of the Condo was not new. Rusty fixtures, older appliances, the bedroom configuration was strange but we made it work,

Great location. Unit could stand a little touch up. New paint, new refrigerator and new detailing. We’ve been staying at Kona Reef for >thirty years. Love being able to walk to farmers market, restaurants and St. Michael’s. Hope to be back next year.
