One Bedroom Apartment at MAC South Yarra

Home to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Fawkner Park, and Como Gardens, South Yarra is a genuine inner-city oasis. When you stay at MAC South Yarra, you’ll enjoy the best the city has to offer, only a short stroll to Toorak Rd. bars and restaurants in one direction, and famous Chapel St. shopping in the other. You’ll also have easy access to public transport to explore the nearby Melbourne Arts Centre, Sports and Entertainment Precinct and all the CBD has to offer.

Our one bedroom apartments (40 sqm space) are light and bright, featuring a double bedroom with an ensuite for one or two people, with the option of two single beds (upon request). The main living area is large with a comfortable couch, four person dining table and fully equipped kitchenette. Some apartments include an outdoor courtyard for that evening aperitif (requests considered, not guaranteed). All rooms have free high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, heating and cooling. Car parking for one car is included FREE.

Please note, the apartment building has 3 floors, and there is no lift.

The apartment is close to central facilities, with multiple supermarkets and chemists within a 10 minute walk. Trams to the city, Richmond, and St Kilda have stops within 5 minutes from the apartment, and the major train hub South Yarra Station is a 6 minute walk. The shops, bars, and restaurants of Chapel St and Toorak Rd precincts are right at your doorstep.

Please note: There is no reception desk nor luggage storage at the property. Self check-in instructions will be sent with code to the digital lock on the morning of arrival for self check-in.

As we won't be greeting you in person, to complete your remote registration you will be required to -
*Provide government-issued photo ID (drivers licence or passport) is to be provided, prior to arrival. Min. age for check-in is 21.
*Pay the $200 security deposit (refundable upon departure, subject to apartment inspection.

Great location - close to everything

Fabulous clean and newly refurbished property close to cafes, restaurants, shopping and public transport. Quiet and secure building so felt safe walking at night. Only thing we would suggest is a saucepan and frypan for cooking on the stove. Overall we highly recommend this property.

Photo was not accurate at all

Freezing cold. Only form of heating was a crappy oil heater found in the wardrobe which was not effective. The photo on the listing was not accurate. Giving a false impression of the accommodation. The room smelt.

Hi Kirsty, Thank you for your email, we are sorry you weren't happy with your apartment. There's two heaters in every apartment - an oil heater and a wall heater in dining area too - but we have asked our maintenance manager to purchase new heaters this week for every apartment, in response to your feedback and that of another guest this week. We obviously don't want anyone being cold. These will be in place by this coming weekend. In terms of photographs, I am pretty confused by this - the photos are of the exact apartments and every apartment in our block has the same layout. They were photographed exactly as they are. If you would like to offer us further feedback on what it was that you found to be inaccurate it would be appreciated and helpful. This property has been run as holiday apartments for many years now . Our apartments are professionally cleaned by a hotel housekeeping team between every guest, so should certainly not smell. Please be assured they are deep-cleaned every time. Thanks for taking the time to review us - we appreciate all of our feedback, both good and bad, and we are always seeking to respond and improve based on our guest feedback.
