The house is really well located and comfortable, with almost everything you could need for an enjoyable break. The response to communications was quick and easy. Many thanks.
A lovely place ideally situated between Noosaville and Noosa Head not walkable but close by to the ferry to take you to Hastings St and plenty of buses. Clean and tidy. Pool cleaners came to clean debris fallen from overhead in to the pool. The poolside tiles are tired so care needed when walking around. Rooms a good size and bathrooms modern. Kitchen good and well equipped. The communication from Dan excellent.
The whole experience was excellent - from ease of booking, corresponding with Dan, instuctions and the property itself- we had a fabulous family holiday.
We found this house to be amazing for our holiday. Walking distance to the beach and shops. Close to everything. The house is perfect with its summer beach vibe.
Property was as advertised. Location great. As per reviews, would be great to have an undercover area by the pool for protection from the rain but not a deal breaker. Overall, great house to accommodate a large group. Thank you.
The house was very comfortable had everything we needed. The owner was fantastic to deal with and very quick to respond. Great location. The pool was awesome! Thanks Dan
This property is well-located to both Gympie Terrace and also to Hastings Street and Noosa Main Beach. It is a short and easy walk to both. It is quiet and comfortable and very suitable for a family.
Great location but the property needs a major revamp …. Broken outdoor lounges , doors that won’t lock because of rust , couches that when you sit on you hit the metal bars … cheapest cutlery No can opener and I know that sounds petty but very annoying … needs a paint but spend some money and it will be a 5 star accommodation
Absolutely immaculate property! Loved our stay with 4 teens. brilliant location for walking to Hasting street.. great basic stocked pantry and kitchen was easy and everything so clean. We’d come back for sure ;) pool was chilli in sep but would be perfect for summer.
Great spacious house in good location with a fifteen minute walk to Hastings St.
Great spacious house within a short 15 minute walk to Hastings Street. Plenty of crockery, cutlery etc.with a good sized pool.An outdoor umbrella would have been good as it was very hot with little shade and the couches need to be upgraded However I would definitely recommend number 6 as a great place to stay and would come back there againGillian
Very comfortable for 5 adults and 1 toddler. We organised kiddie gates for the stairs locally which were waiting for us on arrival. Great communication with owner.
Had a great stay here. Very relaxing. Loved the location - so easy to walk into Hastings St or to catch the bus. Suited our group well. Beds were comfortable. We had a glitch in the weather and pool water was cool - maybe a solar cover would help. Loved sitting out on the deck!
House was spacious and provided all the amenities for our holiday over Christmas. We came from overseas and had local friends stay with us and there were plenty of gathering places. The holidays at Noosa are busy, but we were easily able to walk to Hastings St or take the free bus, without issue. Owner was very accommodating with replies.
Good location and plenty of room. Would like cover over outdoor area we were unable to utalise due to weather. Also leaks’s from gutter were annoying overnight but I believe that’s being looked into. A nice property in a quiet street near enough to walk to Noosa beach
Great position of property, nice and quiet. Check-in seamless although bed configurations was not done by management company, was fixed the next day. House a little tired, could do with a refresh. Outside couches need an upgrade along with a few extra chairs for the outside dining table. Some of the kitchen equipment could be upgraded. Other than that a good family home for a holiday.
We had a lovely stay at Dan’s holiday home. The location was fantastic - about a 10-15 minute walk to Hastings all along the flat road. We also drove and caught the bus which was easy.
The house is well equipped and the pool was a big hit with our little kids. There are some stairs down to the sunken living and master bedrooms which aren’t baby friendly (plus main stairs) but either byo baby gates or a chair in front solves that. The master bedroom is quite bright as not all windows have coverings so bring a portable blockout curtain if you’ve got babies/kids needing dark for naps.
A great stay at a great house, thanks! We will definitely be back :)
This house is in a quiet location in Noosa Sound with easy walking to Hastings Street and the Quamby Place shops. We found the property was accurately described in the overview. Dealing with the owner Dan was a pleasure, particularly when we had a property maintenance issue that he resolved very quickly. Unfortunately, the weather meant it wasn't hot enough to utilize the pool. Would we stay here again? - Yes. Would we recommend this property to others? - Yes.
House location was great for walking with pretty much everything we were looking to access and within distance. House is well fitted for appliances and the pool is great.
House definitely not ideal for people with any mobility issues and it is suggested owner adds some rails to stairways and shower as it was impossible for my elderly parents to get up and down stairs without assistance which meant they needed help every time wanting to go to bathroom or sit in sunken lounge.
Would also have appreciated some sort of pergola or shade sail around pool and back deck area.
Cleanliness- recognising the high humidity location both showers had some mould problems.

Overall this property is very tired. It desperately needs some maintenance especially on sliding doors & locks. New poolside lounge is desperately needed. The tiling around the pool is also broken. We were not informed that it was the Noosa triathlon w/end so had to leave 1 day early because of street closures from 2.30 am to 2.30 pm on day of departure & we’re informed that no partial refund would be possible. The many levels with steps is not suitable for young children or older people. Quiet area with some noise from a rebuild across the street.
Within minutes of arrival, we found a dead roach in the bathroom and less than 45 minutes later spotted a live one in the kitchen. When I contacted Dan regarding this, he was extremely unhelpful and rude. He told me I was gravely misinformed and that he had never once had a complaint in 8 years (while I had photographs of both). He was unwilling to do anything about this and told me it was not a customer service issue that I could clean it up myself. We promptly left the property and found alternate lodging.
Unfortunately, this house was a huge letdown. The photos were very misleading and did not reflect the actual condition of the property. Cleanliness and maintenance was a major issue, it felt like the house had not been properly cleaned before our arrival, with dirty bedsheets, dead insects laying around the bedroom, dust balls all over the house, mould in the bathrooms and filthy toilets. The aircon in the main bedroom was leaking, causing a massive puddle, which we reported to the owner. A maintenance person was sent out, however we were then advised not to use the room or the air conditioning at all, on a day that reached 38 degrees. They installed a large noisey commercial fan to dry the floor, opened up the carpet and had the timber and nails all exposed making this extremely an uncomfortable experience. We were really looking forward to this trip, but sadly the accommodation spoiled the experience. I would not recommend this property and would not stay here again. Luckily stays issued us a full refund as this house was not as labeled on listing.

About the host

Hi, my name is Dan, and i'm the proud owner of Noosa Heads Beach House.
I live in Brisbane but travel to Noosa as often as I possibly can, especially now that overseas travel is restricted. It's one of my favourite places in the world, and a true paradise!
When i'm in Noosa, one of my favourite things to do is walk through the National Park to Hell's Gates (don't be perturbed by the name). The Tanglewood track is also stunning. If you're an early-bird like me, it's so beautiful waking up at dawn and doing the walk at first light so you arrive at Hell's Gates just as the sun is coming over the horizon. To get you going, I suggest coffee & a croissant from Providore On Hastings. Ending the walk with a swim at Little Cove or Main Beach is a great way to start the day, followed by an acai bowl from Noosa Juicer. It's just off the main drag, meaning you won't pay tourist prices.
During the day, there's so much to do - from shopping on Hastings St, to relaxing at the world-class beaches, or laying on the sun lounges by the pool with a great book, or even cruising the Noosa River. I love getting a boat and spending a few hours exploring, and you can hire them from the many providers on Gympie Tce. Afternoon cocktails at Bistro C or Miss Moneypenny's are a hit, followed by dinner at the impossible-to-get-into but so worth it restaurant, Sum Yung Guys at Sunshine Beach.
I hope you enjoy Noosa as much as I do, Dan
Why they chose this property
I purchased the property to use myself, but make it available to others when i'm not there. Therefore, it had to fit a stringent criteria - close enough to the beach that I could walk (parking in Hastings St is a nightmare so it's so much better if you can walk), a pool for the times you want to swim but don't feel like going to the beach, privacy, good separation of bedrooms, and a nice yard. This property literally ticks all the boxes, and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed if you stay here.
What makes this property unique
They say it's all about location location location, and that's definitely true with this property situated in the heart of Noosa Sound - one of the most prestigious & sought after regions of Noosa. Once you arrive, you literally don't need your car again until it's time to go home. There's a convenience store, bottle shop, and some of the best restaurants in Noosa (Ricky's, Wood Fire Grill & Rock Salt) about 2 mins walk from the house. Main Beach is a flat, easy 10 min walk in one direction, or Noosa River is a 10 min walk in the other direction. The property itself is stunning, the rooms are a great size, and every bedroom is far away from each other that privacy is assured. The pool has a deep end, and a super shallow end, designed for toddlers (the previous owner had grandchildren). Being on a corner block, with a high fence around the property, there is incredible privacy, and literally none of the neighbours can see you in the pool. All in all, it's just a magical place to stay for a week, month or year, and i'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!
