We loved the home! Views were amazing and the location was great! Only downside was the pool table was in very rough shape and the mattresses were uncomfortable. However, the rest of the home more than made up for it and we had a great trip! With a few small upgrades this could easily be a repeat visit for our family.

Great Location and wonderful getaway

Great place on the lake. Kitchen with everything needed for enjoying wonderful meals while overlooking the lake. Wonderful decks to relax on with plenty of sunshine to work on a great tan. Three decks, two for shade and one big one for lots of sun. Lori is a great host and is quick to respond and will take care of any issues you may have. This was our 5th time to stay here and hope to return soon! Thanks

Everything about this home was perfect for our girls trip! We loved the layout of the house, screened and not screened porches, privacy on the water. The AC went out upstairs, and they really tried hard to resolve it immediately, but we were still cool downstairs because of the separate unit!

Elevation to the water

The house was great and we enjoyed our stay. The elevation from the house to the water was a little more than I expected. With four kayaks and five grandkids this proved to be more or a workout than i bargained for. Also the hydrilla in the water made swimming unsafe.

Breathtaking views of Lake Catherine!

What a beautiful home?! We spent Christmas with my entire family here, and so glad we did. The views of the lake are absolutely beautiful. We were created by a family of 4 deer each morning. We really enjoyed watching them roam around the neighborhood. The beds were comfy, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and the large dining room table fit our bunch perfectly. The only downfalls that we noticed were the condition of the pool table was very poor, and the hot water heater is either small or going out. We could only fill the jacuzzi tub about half way before running out of hot water. Both are minor problems though. We truly enjoyed our stay! The owner was very friendly and attentive during our stay.

This house had a great view of the lake! The screened porch just off the main floor, and then the large deck just off the game room was fabulous. The pier and boat dock made it easy for us to get our kayaks in and out of the water. The house had some issues, however. Cleaning needs to be better. Something had been melted in the stove, so our first night we had to cook our meal inside a dirty oven. After running the self cleaning through the night then we had to wipe down the entire oven the next morning. Even after that, we had the smell of burnt plastic to deal with each meal. They did offer to come clean the stove the next afternoon but we had several meals to prepare before then, so that’s why we wiped it down the next day ourselves. There were several spots in the house that could be cleaned better such as the corners in the small hall bath. The Jacuzzi tub could use a good scrubbing also. Also, the grill was terribly dirty. These are things you shouldn’t see or deal with when paying a cleaning fee. The game room was a nice addition, but there was no air hockey like it says on the listing, and the pool table definitely needs to be repaired. The kitchen had OK supplies when you could find them. The kitchen needs to be reorganized. For example, we found silverware the second day over by the stove instead of in the silverware drawer beside the sink. We had to share forks the first night. There is only two small kitchen towels for our four day stay. Maybe adding a starter kit supply list to the listing would help the next guest be better prepared. Also, the sheets on the front bedroom had a hole in them that my foot kept getting caught in during the night. Last, I would suggest putting a dehumidifier downstairs. There was a slight musty, smell and damp, feeling sheets during our stay.Also, someone needs to add direction for locking the front door. It took a little time to figure this out. Even with these issues our time was great together and memories made!

We have very high standards and use a cleaning service to professionally clean the home before each guest stay. After hearing your feedback we have since followed up with our cleaning team and put steps in place to ensure future guests do not share the same experience. In addition, we will follow up and remove and replace any worn or damaged linens.  - We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately, previous guests damaged the air hockey table, so we made the decision to upgrade to a foosball table. We have since followed up with Evolve to ensure the listing is updated and reflects the change. We will also be updating our check-in instruction email with clear directions on how to unlock the front door. In regard to the pool table, we would have to agree. Over the last two years it has received some wear and tear, we have made the decision to replace the pool table in the near future.  - We will further look into your concerns with the kitchen organization to ensure items have not been moved by previous guests. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  - We were confused by your comment about providing a starter kit and wish you had reached out during your stay. We would have promptly responded and been more than happy to help. We provide guests with a starter supply of paper essentials and detergent.  - We are unaware of any issues in the downstairs that would cause a musty smell, but appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will follow up with maintenance to ensure there are no underlying issues.  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

High school youth group reunion

The house was perfect for our reunion. It was just as described in the write-up. We had a couple issues upon arrival and they were promptly addressed. As noted it is a steep path to the lake. Our only negative was small gnats that were throughout the property, they didn't bite and I am sure seasonal due to the closeness of the lake.

Great place for a great, relaxing, fun weekend! There was plenty of sleeping room for everyone, and the living space was great for the whole group to gather. No complaints, but some commented that a ladder on the dock would’ve been appreciated.

Beautiful views. Nice large seating areas for big group. Our sheets were dirty upon arrival and home could definitely use a deep clean. Master bathroom has only a bathtub (no shower head) so we had to share the downstairs shower. Older home but good location.

Nice place but improvements recommended

House was perfect size for 5 adults. Nice view and quite area. The backyard to the lake was somewhat steep for older people. Would have been nice to have a fireplace or fire pit. Only complaints were that the stove had the largest burner not working; pool table needed a new pocket/cloth bed; front steps were tricky for older people and a garbage diposal would have been nice to have.

Comfy and fun.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was comfortable and roomy. I will say we were supersized to find some beds without sheets and it was a little less clean than we desired. But the owner was very helpful in accommodating our needs. We had a great time relaxing, playing games and hanging out with our large family!

Great property, would return!

We very much enjoyed our stay. We were there over the Christmas holiday and due to covid did not venture out. The home had everything we needed and more. In addition to the beautiful view, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. The beds were comfortable (we only used the two upstairs bedrooms), and each bedroom had an attached bathroom- one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. The upstairs family room also had a sizeable tv, which was a nice surprise from the one pictured (also only one recliner rather than the two pictured which was no big deal for us). Another bonus was the holiday decor which we enjoyed as we were away from home. We didn't require any contact with the owner during our stay (everything was as described), however I inadvertently left an item in the home after we left. The owner was extra helpful in getting the item back to me, a happy ending to a very pleasant stay!
