You enter through the garage door but it is well lit. No dishwasher but you don't need one. Air Conditioner works well. Easy walking distance to many restaurants.
My wife and I traveled to DC on bicycles. Very important to us that our travel stays are solidly booked.
Got a phone call from owner 1 day before our rental . Was told that this apartments has 2 listing sites . The other site and the VRBO site did not sync and our apartment was not available for the 1st 2 days of our stay as someone was in it.
(big mistake to work this out over the phone . next time I'll insist all be done text thru VRBO site)
Owner offered us to stay in their living quarters above apt. Not having time /energy to argue or search out alternatives we took offer, We stressed that we need a clean place.
After all we did pay a cleaning fee.
I arrive at home shortly before my wife and quickly emptied bike panniers and took a shower. My wife arrived and found that the residence had not been cleaned .
She found the conditions unacceptable.
Called owners. They arrived quickly and were quite perturbed that I had use the shower and emptied my bags. My wife had a fall and was cleaning wounds and bandaging . They we oblivious to her condition. They mocked my action of using the shower and our actions of emptying our bags to find the first aid supplies.
One part of the couple questioned my wife about her dislikes of the living space.
No compassion as to our situation.
We left.
Texted then later and offered to pay for one nights stay as compensation for shower use and they would refund the other 3 nights.
never got response.
Never got refund. Nice scam where you get double payments for same apartment.
Again folks, if any thing like this happens to you. Use the VRBO site for text documentation

Bring your own
This is located in a lovely neighborhood, easy walk to the National Cathedral. The parking on the street has signs that made me worry about leaving my car on a weekday but I’d planned to walk to my training. I didn’t get ticketed but worried. I arrived in the evening, finding the entrance was dark, my iPhone flashlight helped. The apartment is fine except the bathroom which was awful.
Bring your own Kleenex, napkins, cable box, and maybe shower stall.
