Come and unwind in beautiful Cancun. Our modern fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment offers a full kitchen, dining area, living room and extra sofa bed. A sparkling clean bathroom, and 1 parking space. Enjoy sitting on the balcony which overlooks pristinely manicured gardens, a 70m swimming pool and the ever so blue Caribbean Sea with white sandy beaches. The condominium complex has a restaurant (one with poolside service on the premises and another just outside the property on the beach), children’s games, and plenty of poolside loungers.
While only ten minutes from supermarkets, restaurants and Cancun nightlife Amara gives visitors the chance to experience everything Cancun has to offer.

A great location

The property was clean, and nearby restaurants were much more reasonable than staying near the hotel zone. Vendors are less likely to bother you here too.

Cute beach getaway

Fun Stay in Cancun

Rosaleen is an awesome host. We loved our stay, right on the water and beach. You can walk down the beach for a wonderful dinner or lunch on a beach side restaurant, or around the corner for a lunch or dinner at a restaurant on top of a tall tower, like a light house! So much fun! Jack & Marci

Great Place

We are booking it again in August. I have stayed at Amara before. This unit and the host were great. We had no issues. The ferry is within walking distance, the convenience store is across the street, to local restaurants, great pool, beach, cook out or go to the restaurant on the beach. Thanks again Rosaleen.

Our host Rosaleen was fabulous! Communication was easy and fast. She answered questions thoroughly and quickly. The Amara Condos are in a gated area and all of the rotating guards knew who we were easily and were very friendly. The pool area was fabulous! Huge and a nice depth with easy access. The mix of shaded and sunny areas for the lounges was very welcome! Some days we wanted sun and others less. There is a walkway to the beach directly from the pool area (that is gated) and there is a perfect cordoned off area with lounges in and around palm trees for Amara residents and guests. The unit itself was good with a fully functioning kitchen, living dining area etc. just as shown in the online photos. Our only critique was some lights that were burned out but was addressed once we mentioned it. Great place and although there aren’t too many restaurants nearby (but there are a few), Uber was simple and very inexpensive! Groceries are about 3km away at the Walmart Express which has everything you may want or need. A great relaxing 2 weeks!

Pros:Area de alberca espectacular, Beachfront (muy bonita playa), vista al mar desde el departamento, seguridad, estacionamiento, buena comunicacion con Rosaleen, muy buen restaurante (Puerto Santo) a pocos metros por la playaCons:Muy poco amables a la hora de la recepcion, toallas viejitas, mala condicion general de vasos, cubiertos y platos, mar con mucho sargazo.Comentario: La ubicacion es buena, pero no esta en la zona turistica tradicional de Cancun. A mi me funciono bien porque tenia coche.

The beach isn’t really a swimmer beach but the pool is fantastic! A great restaurant just a few minute walk along the beach. The manager is a great communicator! Only negative was the water for showers was cold. And the frig had something oozing out onto the floor.

We will come back!

This is our first time to stay in Puerto Juarez. We wanted to be less crowded and commercialized and more immersed with the culture, and this was the perfect location for that - plus if you love good food and fresh seafood and very reasonable prices - it cannot be beat! There are dogs running around and some of their droppings and some wild noises at night - but that is the only downside for us. The weather was fantastic and the view was gorgeous! The people at Puerto del Mar were very accommodating and friendly, and our host was amazing. The condo was stocked with plenty of essentials, which is the first time I have ever seen that. Usually when we rent a new place, we find it is very sparse with essentials like soap and toilet paper, and I often wondered why hosts would not be more accommodating with less expensive essentials to make the stay at a new place a little easier. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. The ferry is right there for a day trip to Isla Mujueres which was wonderful. We will be back!

Breathtaking Views

Best stay ever using VRBO. Host was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. Her apartment was well stocked with supplies. She even surprised my 2 daughters with flip flops and beach toys. She also suggested places my girls (6 and 10) would enjoy. The restaurant next to the complex has the best seafood I ever had. Location was excellent as well. The pool and security were outstanding. We always felt safe and Covid19 protocols were evident on the property complex. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Cancun!
