Experience the tropical magic of the Florida Keys from this waterfront home with a screened-in patio, a 60-foot dock with a fish cleaning station, access to the local Cabana Club, and passes to a private beach. This single-story home in Key Colony Beach is a prime destination for those wishing to relax and enjoy all the Florida Keys offer. Clean and comfortable, with plenty of windows offering views of the waterway, you'll feel right at home in this vacation rental. Anglers will be excited to cast their lines off the 60-foot dock behind the house. Conveniently, there is a provided fish cleaning station (with electrical hookups) and a bait freezer on the patio! Guests of all ages will enjoy access to the Cabana Club just a quarter-mile away, where you can swim in their pool and enjoy refreshing adult beverages at the wet bar.

After an exciting day at the beach or out on the water, relax in your cozy living room, gather together in the dining room with seating for four, and prepare meals in the full, well-equipped kitchen. And spend time on your screened, furnished patio overlooking the canal with a gas grill.

Like our trips before, Fisherman’s Canal Getaway is wonderful. It has EVERYTHING you need to enjoy your stay and feel comfortable, relax, and enjoy the beautiful waters around you. We brought our 28’ boat, fished every day but one, caught LOTS of fish, and had an amazing trip to Key Colony. We will be back…again…..and again

Great vacation home

We had an awesome time staying at this place. The property manager was responsive and it was even better than the pictures showed. The location is perfect on the canal and neighborhood is quiet. The cabana club is also a bonus and a great time. Highly recommend this property if you're looking for a vacation home in Marathon!

Beautiful house by canal with lots of light

Loved the location, morning coffee by the canal. Really quite place walking distance to the Cabana Club and the private beach. Walking distance to restaurants to in Key Colony. Will come back there!

Perfect marathon location

The property was clean and the listing and pictures were accurate. We loved the location, right on the canal! We rented a boat and we’re able to dock it right outside. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with the Exception of basic needs like salt and pepper, other seasonings, foil, etc. we left some there for the next guests!

Great location

Great location with Cabana Club access. We enjoyed that it was on ground level with no stairs. Kitchen was stocked with great amenities including an air fryer. We enjoyed the outdoor area facing the canal and even had a visit from a Manatee one day which is always enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again. Only complaint was the Spare bedroom needs blinds on side window as it only had thin sheers which provided little privacy to neighbouring house.

Fisherman’s canal getaway

We had a great time! The description was exactly what I was expecting. The only problem was the washing machine we had to work on to unclog the drain to get it to work and the housekeepers were stalking the road waiting for us to leave an hour and a half before checkout.

House was spacious. Comfortable furniture. Water pressure was good. House was clean. AC worked great. We liked that the house sat by itself, no neighbors attached. Great landscaping behind hose at dock area. Kitchen was well stocked. Weather was great!

Or stay was mostly okay. It is a nice home, and everything is in good shape. It does have a dock, and that's where my complaint starts. The water at the dock was broke on the second day. I put in a request to have it fixed. By Thursday morning no one has showed up to fix it. So I fixed it myself. I'm kind of upset that no one came to fix it for most of the time that I was there. Boats need to be rinsed, and motors need to be flushed. Going without fresh water at the dock is like having toast without bread. It just doesn't work. I'm upset that I had to fix it myself. I got no apology, just " is there anything else?" I half expect someone to make this right.

My stay was mostly okay. House was clean and nice. Really nice place to stay. Communication with the property manager was a little off. The dock water wasn't working correctly. The handle broke off the hose bib, and I wasn't able to rinse my boat. I also couldn't flush my motors. I communicated with the manager, and by Thursday morning no one had showed up. So I went to home Depot and fixed it myself. I can't believe I had to fix it myself. But I can't go all week without flushing my motors. I can handle not rinsing the boat. But I can't go all week without flushing the motors. A Few extra kitchen towels and a kitchen drying rack for the dishes would be nice. Maybe a couple of hot pads/pot holder would also be nice. But the biggest complaint, is that the maintenance did not show up and fix my dock water.

Great vacation

As a single father, convenience is paramount. This house and location was great. The house was as described. The house had everything needed for a great vacation.There was previous comments about lack of salt and pepper( I left my salt and pepper mills behind for the next renters and on going. Not a big deal to me. The can opener did not work but I replaced it and left it behind.The beds were comfortable and the house met our needs.The provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, paper towels and toilet paper were a bonus. Beach Towels were also a nice surprise. My only feedback would be that if you expect the room with the trundle bed in it to be used as a bedroom put a curtain or blind over the door. It was an easy fix for us, by using a blanket that was provided. ****If you are staying in Key Colony access to the Cabana Club is a must***( included with this rental). The canal was beautiful as well. The one disclaimer I will give is do not expect to catch keepable fish from this area of the canal. We caught lots of small fish but nothing that we could keep. This is no reflection on this rental, I would have just planned differently since this was supposed to be a fishing trip with my kids. If I had I known the fishing from the canal or bridges was not great without access to live bait I would have rented a boat or chartered a boat. The lights at the dock were not in working order while we were there as we fished a lot. Please provide a broom and dustpan for future renters.

This property was not ready for occupancy and was poorly cleaned, poorly maintained, and poorly managed. We were forced to wait 40 minutes past our check in time outside the property. Upon arrival, multiple basic amenities were missing or nonfunctional, including outdoor seating and exterior lighting. These issues were not addressed for two weeks.The interior condition was unacceptable. There was a persistent foul odor, later traced to a hidden bowl containing mold growth. Numerous dirty dishes were left throughout the property. The outdoor table was covered in black mold. The walls were visibly dirty, and we were required to clean the walls ourselves. There was no vacuum provided. The bug infestation was severe. Food could not be left out for more than 20 minutes without insects swarming it. Donuts purchased and stored overnight were found completely covered in bugs within 12 hours. Multiple food items had to be discarded despite being stored properly. An exterminator did eventually visit, but only after repeated issues and with no meaningful resolution. Communication with the owners was consistently inadequate. Multiple messages went unanswered, maintenance visits were promised and did not occur, and information provided regarding repairs was inaccurate. Action was taken only near the end of the stay, after prolonged inconvenience.Throughout the stay, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, spending significant time inspecting food for insects and managing cleanliness issues

House was great, but not stocked with hardly any items needed, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags for kitchen, all needed. No kitchen towels at all. You can park a boat trailer and a vehicle there, that’s it. Trash was in outside cans when we arrived. Yard needs cleaned up. House was nice, and beds were very nice and comfortable. Dock and fish cleaning station was great! Grill was super dirty and not fit to use, so skip that. AC works terrific, and TV stations were great! Cabana Club, pool and beach is a super place and was beautiful! Complaint; they implied we could check in early if cleaned…….they never let us check in early, and no cleaning staff was there, as we watched the house from 1 pm on to 4 pm check in! So they lie about that! I called twice to ask if we could go on in, and they said, no! Hard when you’re pulling a boat and have a dog in the truck! Had to burn about 5 hours in the heat waiting. That’s really the top complaint! All was great or doable. Street got noisy, on the last two nights we were there. Overall a great house!!

Perfect for us!

Our family of 4 had a great time at Fisherman’s Canal. The location was perfect, we brought our boat and we’re able to get out into open ocean quickly. Vacasa was very responsive and helpful with our questions. The canal view was great and we even saw a manatee! Close to the pool and restaurants.

Home needs some TLC

House was clean, and it had enough towels. But it is in desperate need of some care. Interior was recently painted - there are paint flecks on the toilet seat, kitchen counters, etc. master bedroom is missing smoke detector - battery is pulled out and the detector is hanging from the ceiling. Stools around kitchen table - 2 are the wrong height, so they cannot be used. Recliner in living area is broken - cannot recline. It would have been nice if the patio furniture had some cushions on them, pretty uncomfortable.
