We loved the place. It was spacious and had what we needed to do day trips in the area to Redding and Lassen. Kids loved the pool as summer already arrived by early June. We made the mistake of turning down the road to the winery but the driveway is the next left going west. Definitely recommended as family friendly!
Property is tidy and clean, but could use some landscaping trimming and removal of old outdoor furniture, etc. We really enjoying having a outdoor fire every evening. Overall, we had a very relaxing few days at this property.

Log cabin basic
Check in was simple and smooth. The place is very rustic and is on a winery ground in a neighborhood. I couldn’t sleep upstairs because there were no window covering on a patio door.
There was no welcome basket or coffee and no wine? That was shocking being at a winery. The place is super basic with little amenities, older mismatched towels and such.
It did have nice tv. I never was able to enjoy the outside lawn since the winery had a private party going on but it looked nice.
The AC was a bonus since it was really hot.

Hi Donnie, we are happy to hear you enjoyed the rustic log cabin on the Burnsini vineyard grounds, but sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they would like to share the following:
- Thank you for choosing to stay in our cabin and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to us and the success of our vacation rental business.
- The door to the balcony is in the corner of the large master suite. We are glad you chose one of the other bedrooms for more privacy.
- While we don't provide a welcome gift basket, you are surrounded by the beauty of our vineyard and many other great amenities, like a fully stocked kitchen, outdoor fire pit, gas BBQ and pool - and plenty of furniture, including a full 8-12 seat dining table, two couches, a couple of club style chairs as well as three beds between two bedrooms. Additionally, you can schedule a private wine tasting.
- New towels are rotated into the inventory constantly. We apologize that you noticed some older towels, but know they are all white.
- The winery has a private lawn area separated from the guest house by a paved walkway. The mentioned event took place between 6-9:30 pm on one of the two nights you stayed. We believe you would have enjoyed our lovely seasonal pool.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
This is a great place to enjoy with the family, the cabin has everything it’s needed for a home. The surrounding is beautiful!

Home Away From Home
We loved our stay at the Cabin. It was a home away from home. The kitchen was complete with plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware. This was our Sacramento River fishing trip at the "Barge Hole". The Cabin was near all of our fishing areas for lake or river fishing. We utilized the amenities such as parking large enough for our truck and boat with conveniences we would have at home such as a plug outside, a hose and privacy. Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. After a hot day on the river the freezing pool was very refreshing. We look forward to many other vacation stays at the Cabin.
We loved the cabin. Very easy to check in. The Cabin had all that we needed as if we were home. We can't wait until our next trip.

Great log cabin!
We loved our stay! House was comfortable and a perfect place to stay while we visited Lassen Volcanic National Park. The pool was a fantastic feature as it was 105 degrees! Kitchen was stocked with needed materials and we even found a picnic blanket to use for a picnic in the park. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice but wouldn’t return.
The grounds are beautiful and the log cabin was large enough for our group of 6. We were there when the hottest day almost reached 100 degrees and the swamp cooler was able to stand up to the heat. The pool was cool and refreshing when we were finally able to use it. The first day there, our party had to sweep all the dry leaves and dust from the pool area and clean out the pool. We found a dead mouse in the water. Response to removing mouse and shocking the water was prompt but we still weren’t able to use the pool as long as we intended. This area had obviously been overlooked in the routine cleaning. And while the inside of the house seemed clean, we found large pieces of dust, almost like sand, all over the place. We would wipe it up and and come back to find more, we resorted to covering our drinks and food. The two couches are super cute but should not be used to sleep on. The first night, two in our party resorted to sleeping on the chairs because the couches were not comfortable. We were offered the little cabin for use, which helped greatly. We missed the other review stating a frequent train going right next to the house. If you are a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend this house. We all slept fine through the train traffic.

Hi Meaghan, we’re glad to hear you liked the cabin! After reading your comments, the owner asked us to share the following: “ 1) The pool area is surrounded by beautiful oak trees and at the beginning of the season, when the trees are full of leaves, foliage drops into the pool frequently. We are buying an automatic pool sweeper to help with the issue, but in the meantime, we provide a pool net to manually remove whatever has fallen since the last weekly professional cleaning. We’re sorry about the mouse, too but in a rural area, it is not uncommon for small mammals to be chased or dropped into the pool by predators. We’re glad we were able to respond right away when you contacted us so we could get the pool to a usable state quickly. 2) Other guests have reported the sand-like substance. We think it might have something to do with the evaporative cooler. We are working with a service that will help us find a solution. 3) Obviously comfort is subjective but we’re sorry the fold-out couches didn’t work for you. We can always offer the extra cabin if the sofas aren’t right for a guest’s personal comfort preferences. 4) There isn’t a consistent schedule for the train so there are times when it is more frequent than others. It is just one more aspect of the rural setting.” Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we are confident future guests will enjoy everything this cabin has to offer!
It was a special location for family to reunite after a tough year of not seeing each other. Grandkids loved it. Cabin beautiful. We miss the trains! Thank you Beth!

The perfect place
The cabin is a hidden gem, we came as a family to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
My daughter had so much fun, and my husband and I had the chance to relax and forget about work for a couple of days.
The online pictures don’t make justice to the cabin, is more beautiful than the pictures show.
We can’t wait to go back for summer!
