Santorini-treasures Bougonvilea Villa traditional

This Cycladic cave house , was fully renovated in 2023. Located at the heart of old Emporio in an authentic surroundings. Warm atmosphere welcomes you. It has bedroom with a double bed and a sofa. Fully equipped modern kitchen , A/C , smart TV , free WI-FI ,washing machine, air dryer iron etc.
Dining table in the courtyard. Stairs lead up to a roof terrace with a private hot tab and sun beds. The breathtaking view of the village with it's Cycladic churches and the sea will relax you .

The space

While renovating the house, we maintained the spirit of Santorini.
Cycladic style walls and stairs, stone furniture kitchen and bathroom cabinets and decorations, and all this while maintaining maximum comfort.

Guest access

Beside the inside of the home, guests can access a private courtyard, and a private roof terrace where the Jacuzzi is placed.

Other things to note

The Bougonvilea Villa is in the heart of old Emporio. Some of the neighbors are local santorinians. You will have a real "local" experience but at the same time it is important to consider their rest during night hours.
The old barber shop Café is 20 meters away. The breakfast is served in the beautiful sea-view terrace. the café has an all day dining menu and they serve alcoholic drinks too.

Lovely property close to a fantastic restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Easy to get to the bus and Yannis gave us the help we needed.

The property was amazing, exactly where we wanted to be. Yannis was incredibly helpful, and his suggestions went a long way towards making this the memorable trip that it was. 10/10 would not change a thing.

Beautiful Emporio villa

This property was great for our trip- the place was comfortable, clean, and beautiful! The host was fantastic and responded quickly to any of our needs. Check in was difficult because driving in Santorini was a new experience for us that took some time to get to the property. It would have been nice to have the exact address given before we landed. Emporio is a cool town where most of the locals live- it is not where most tourists stay, but that was fun for us. We enjoyed getting to see more of the island than most people do! This is a cool spot and we loved our stay!

I stayed at this villa from 5th to 12th September, and my experience was completely unacceptable for the price paid. From the moment we arrived, the villa was infested with ants — they were in our bed, suitcases, and throughout the rooms. We spent hours trying to clear them out, which ruined our holiday.What made this worse was that the issue was clearly known beforehand. There was insect spray left in the villa, and dead ants in the corners, showing that the problem had been there for some time and the property had not been properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival. No guest should be expected to stay in these conditions.The washing machine was filthy and looked unsafe to use, and many window screens were ripped, meaning we couldn’t open windows without letting in more insects. Overall, the villa was poorly maintained and not fit for guests.When I contacted the owner after my stay, instead of taking responsibility, they tried to blame me for not calling during the week — as if it’s the guest’s fault that the property wasn’t prepared to a basic standard. Moving villas mid-holiday wasn’t a realistic solution; the problem is that this one should never have been rented out in the first place.This experience made us feel uncomfortable and disappointed throughout our stay. For the amount of money charged, this villa is not up to standard, and the customer service afterwards has been dismissive.It may look nice in photos, but the reality is very different.

We treat all our villas against ants and bugs before each season. After treatment the villa cannot be entered for several days. For unknown reason some ants have returned to the villa. As this happened during the season we could only treat them with spray. Every villa is cleaned and inspected befor guests arrive. So was this villa. We expect our guests to raise up issues if there are any so we can fix them in real time and we try to give our guests the best hospitality. Brett was there for a week and did not let us know about being unsatisfied. The first time he addressed it was after he left. We offered him compensation of 30% but he wanted full refund. We are sorry for his bad experience and shall continue to do our out most to satisfy our guests.

When we renovated this old cave house we kept the spirit of santorini. It is a cycladic style villa but with all modern comfort inside. If you wish to experiance authentic traditional hospitality in quite suroundings, this is the place to stay.

The hot tub is built on the rooftop terrace and you can enjoy it after a long day of visiting the island . An equiped kitchen with oven and stove is waiting for you if you decide to coock. the supermarket is only 5 minutes away.
