Great home on large tropical lot with all the modern amenities including Wireless Internet and Beautiful pool with in-pool bar stools and a large bohio surrounded by hammocks with a wet bar and refrigerator. Full bathroom at the pool, outdoor grill & 3 outdoor showers. Beach access is a short 8 minute walk down a tropical trail used by locals to gather oysters at low tide. Close to all the area has to offer including great restaurants, mountain adventures in El Valle and you can walk to the famous surf beaches of Rio Mar and Pal Mar from the property. A brand new 24 hour modern clinic recently opened in Coronado just a 10 minute drive away. There are several golf courses to choose from close by. Spend your days relaxing in the pool or lounging on the hammocks in the bohio. An often deserted beach is at your finger tips for dips in the warm Blue Ocean or long walks. Home is a 2BR/2BA that sleeps up to 6.

Great place for a get away

House was very clean. Enjoyed the pool. Could use some maintenance, i.e. master shower head needs cleaning. It sprayed many directions. I would invest in replacing missing screens. We didn't open windows to experience the natural breeze because we didn't want to let insects in.

We had a great time at the house where we stayed for a month. We had all the amenities we needed and the house was in good working condition. A few things to consider are the walk to the beach (a good 13/15 minutes, not 8 minutes with kids and if you want to bring food or drinks it becomes quite a walk!), the absolute need for a car (if you need to go to the grocery store, restaurant, beach, etc.), and the fact that there is construction right next door and it could be a bit loud at times. The few times we had issues (internet and a/c) we got the help we needed either from Jenni or Erwin and we really appreciated it. A few things could be updated in my opinion (bbq, kitchen fan, outdoor furniture/cushions with stains and what looked like mold on them) and mainly the pool! Yes the pool is big and beautiful, but the bottom of it is in pieces and both our kids got cut under their feet. This really needs to be addressed.

Nice space but not quite as promised

Pros: - Ervin, the caretaker, was helpful, considerate, and did a great job taking care of the grounds. - The grounds themselves were beautiful, and the pool/cabana space was lovely - Easy drive to a beautiful beach (Playa El Palmar) Cons: - The house itself felt grimy and in need of some serious updates - the downstairs shower was janky, there was a missing lightbulb in one of the bedside lamps, there were bugs in the bedroom, and the whole place just felt like it was in serious need of a deep clean. - Really, this property can sleep 4 people comfortably. The "futon" is really more of a bench and is in the middle of the only living space/next to the kitchen. - The beach advertised as being in walking distance of the house isn't really a beach - it's a lovely cove, but you can't swim there. - The road leading up to the house could use some real re-surfacing. In all, we enjoyed San Carlos, but wish we'd been better prepared for the experience based on what we'd been promised.

Excellent get away vacation

This is a great vacation spot., we were able to fill right at home. Our caretaker Ervin, was always available for any question or needs, as it made my family more comfortable and safe. The place is well secure on day and night, plenty of lights. The beach is walking distance, it made the morning walk very pleasant and a finish lap swim at the pool which kept well clean. Overall, this is a outstanding place to stay and enjoy....driving distance to local restaurant and grocery in San Carlos. Will be back Thanks

We Would Stay Again In a Heartbeat!

We reserved this property for the entire month of March but left after 18 nights. The virus thing - Panama closed its airport four days after we departed. The property is wonderful and almost all is as described. Discrepancies: (1) the beach is neither a 5 nor an 8 minute walk, as claimed in different parts of the listing, but 15; (2) there is no BBQ at the bohio as claimed, although there is a small Weber kettle at the house; (3) most seriously, nothing in the listing reveals that the only access to the second floor is on a spiral staircase. Appears to be cement laid over a typical metal spiral frame. Charming, but could be difficult or impossible to navigate for anyone with limited mobility. The should be revealed to potential renters in the listing. The on-site caretaker is responsive and attentive. Comfortable bedding, good air conditioning. Hope to stay again next year!

Just what we needed!!!

Not sure where to begin! We had the most awesome vacation in Panama City and our accommodations at Blanco Casa was a big part of our wonderful experience. The grounds around the house was absolutely beautiful. The pool and the openness of the layout of the grounds was very relaxing. The family who lives on the property (the caretakers) were very sweet and helpful not to mention friendly. They were there when we needed anything but then we didn't even know they were there when we didn't need anything!! The property managers Jenni and Tim we just wonderful! They provided us tips and recommendations of things to do and even connected us with a driver and a guide @yourguideinpanama who was awesome. Take Jenni and Tim's recommendations because they were spot-on!! The house is just wonderful. It's nicely decorated and has all the amenities that you will need to cook meals if you choose to. We had no issue with drinking and using the water for cooking. We were pleasantly surprised that the ice maker in the fridge kept up with our needs!!! So no need to buy bags of ice if you stay in this home! The market to get provisions is very close to the casa so it's easy to get your provisions before you get settled into the home. I would say the only drawback was the WiFi connection. The cable was a little difficult to maneuver through as well. We couldn't find any English speaking channels and this wouldn't have been a big deal but we were there during the Super Bowl and we had to watch it in Spanish and missed all of the commercials!! Honestly, this isn't a big deal because what's important is watching what was happening and that was just fine. The WiFi was a challenge; however, that was just a minor inconvienence because that's really not why you are there for the internet connection! So don't sweat it if you have a similar experience. I will say that the day we were leaving they had a company coming in to fix the WiFi situation so this may no longer be an issue. All in all myself and my travel partners would highly recommend this home. Enjoy the sunsets up on the outside balcony of the upstairs room or have a cocktail around the pool. You can enjoy the early morning sunrise on the hammock on the porch off the dining room. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose this home for your vacation.

coronado beach house

My family of four enjoyed our stay here. We used it as a launching point to the beaches and the mountains.The house is clean and well equipped. The property manager is attentive and helpful. There is large , clean pool onsite and a beach down the road. There is construction in the area but inside of the property gates is tranquil.

A Slice of Paradise in Panama

We stayed for 2 months in this slice of paradise. The villa is very comfortable and feels like home. It has everything you need to have a comfortable time. The greatest part of this property are the caretakers Jenni and Tim. They live on the property and are a wealth of knowledge. They also operate a boat for tours or fishing...Coronado Fishing Club! The only improvement I would suggest is motorizing the 300 plus pound gate you have to open and close by human force each time you come or go. I would highly recommend this property :)

Preciosa casa con piscina cerca del mar

La casa está cerca de una playa solitaria a la que se puede ir andando y muy cerca en coche de otras muchas playas donde se puede hacer surf, La zona de piscina y bohío es preciosa y está muy bien cuidada, con árboles frutales como mangos. Es un lugar perfecto para pasar unas vacaciones en familia. La casa tiene todo lo necesario como aire acondicionado y Jim y Jenni están en todo momento para ayudarte. Quizás necesite renovar algunos electrodomésticos como la nevera que hacía ruido y poner un lavavajillas, por lo demás es perfecta. Está muy bien localizada, junto a la Panamericana, por lo que se puede llegar fácilmente a Ciudad de Panamá y otras localidades como El Valle. El trato con el propietario ,Trey, ha sido muy fácil, siempre disponible, además habla español. Sin duda la recomiendo.

Do you need to really relax and unplug from your fast-paced world? This is your place!

It has been just shy of two weeks since we left Casas Blancas and I really want to go back tomorrow. The house had everything a family needs but the outdoor spaces are what really made the stay special. That pool with he swim up bar (the kids will get a kick out of being your bartender), the large palapa with a dining table, seating area and the 4-5 hammocks will call your name. The palapa also has a wet bar with electricity and a fridge. Poolside pina coladas anyone? Yes, please! You feel like you have your own little private slice of paradise because you do. We ventured out to the beach one day but decided the property was just so wonderful that we stayed there to soak up the sun on the second and third days. When you return from the beach, you can shower under one of the 3 outdoor showers so not to track the sand into the house. There are two rental houses on the property so you are sharing the outdoor spaces. We loved becoming acquainted with the other family. The house has a fully functional kitchen. No dishwasher but we had plenty of hands to lighten the work. There is a washer and dryer but being that they are on bottled gas, use the clothes line! The sun and wind are free. As described in the renters' packet, the power did go out for about 1 1/2 hours one morning. This is not a Casas Blancas thing but a Panama thing. Just roll with it - hammocks require no electricity. A full-sized fridge, 6-burner gas stove and several charcoal grills on the property for meals to be eaten al fresco under the palapa. We did not really seek out places to go to dinner or nightlife of any kind. There are plenty of places to go out to eat but I don't think there is much night life in the area. Not much of a need for resort wear or even a hair dryer. Plan on living in your swimsuit, shorts, flip flops, a hat and sunglasses. The Wi-Fi works but is slower than what we have at home. You'll have connection but probably not be streaming any movies. This was not an issue for us but people with little kids may want to know. We had to book on short notice so the regular caretakers were out of the country. We still had prompt email communication with them even though they were on their own vacation. The caretaker on site was a really terrific teenage kid named Alejandro. He has limited English and we have limited Spanish but he was very intuitive and brought us things we needed with out us even asking. Go! Relax! Enjoy!

Everything was wonderful at thisProperty

This property was the last that we stayed at during our three week trip to Panama. We totally enjoyed the compound, our villa and the pool were wonderful. The managers, Tim and Jenni were wonderful also and they speak English. We had a great time with the other people staying there and had a potluck evening down at the Bohlio. Prior to our arrival the owner, Trey forwarded tons of info and exact driving instruction from the airport. He also included restaurants with phone numbers and remarks regarding the food they serve and his favorites. The price was definitely worth it and it was a real plus to have a washing machine and a dryer which I didn't use because I had a wonderful clothes line and lots of wind.

Love this place!

My husband and I just spent a month at this place and were very sad to leave! The casita was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to stay comfortably for a month. The pool was so amazing! We spent a lot of time there and also enjoyed the bohio hammocks. The caretakers, Tim and Jenni were the best hosts! They arranged BBQ nights for the guests, and even took us to the local Carnaval one night. We also enjoyed almost daily walks down to the beach which is beautiful. We found the location to be be within easy reach of a wide range of activities and sights. A car is handy here, but the local bus is easy to catch as well. All in all we had a wonderful holiday here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and convenient place to stay in Panama.

Perfect Family fun vacation! Great Set up

We took a family trip to Panama in November 2013 with our 7 month old and our 5 year old. We arrived late and it was a little tricky to find at first but once we were on the compound we could not have been more relaxed and thrilled. This is a beautiful setting with an amazing swim up pool and Bohio. The beach is a short pretty walk and is stunning once you arrive. The house is so much more than we had anticipated, it is spacious, beautifully decorated, and has all of the amenities you could possibly need. The location of the compound is fantastic with the proximity to the beach, little grocery store, and yummy restaurants. We give this place 5 stars because of it's layout for a family to have a wonderful relaxing time, proximity to the beach and great surf breaks, and beautiful setting in Panama.

Exquisite home- big pool and semi-private beach!!!

Everything was seamless and easy, as any beach vacation should be. The caretaker, Emilio, was a great host. From the moment I arrived until I check out, I felt safe and well taken care of. The house was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and everything worked great (there's even a blender for smoothies!). I will DEFINITELY recommend this rental to friends and family! As for me, I WILL be back very soon! Highlights- Breathtaking ten minute walk to amazing surfing. Break on the walk home to eat more mangoes than anyone should consume in one day. -Read a book while spending 5 incredibly comfortable and lazy hours in the hammock. Only breaks to refill coffee, smoothie (from mango and papaya on the property) and take a dip in the pool. -Emilio, the caretaker, opens a few coconuts for me to drink! Road trip to El Valle, the mountains about a half hour away. Beautiful hike full of waterfalls, breathtaking views and hot springs. Buy some fresh fruit and veggies at El Valle market -Abundance of tasty fish dishes at local restaurants, sunrise/sunset beach walks, sea shelling at low tide, sipping mango-ritas at bar stools in pool, nap-time in the hammock...enjoy!

Amazingly relaxing property!

Trey and his team have an amazing property and do a great job maintaining it. The pool and accessibility to the beach were are our favorite amenities. The house itself was great too with all the cooking ability a family or two couples would need. We did try out multiple restaurants in the area too which were all great. There was a pizza place nearby that was great and a nice staff. We did try to have coffee and happy hour in a different location each day, and soon found that walking to the beach with a cup of coffee or a bottle of wine won us over. The property was an easy hour and a half drive from Panama City. We felt safe and comfortable during our whole trip to Panama and especially enjoyed this property.

Your own private resort

My wife, our 11 month old daughter and I stayed at Trey's place for a month and had an amazing time. The property is beautiful, very large and has the amenities of a resort (big pool with swim up bar, huge bohio which was great for our daughter during the heat of the day). The fully stocked house was perfect for us with the master bedroom with walk out deck overlooking the ocean being the highlight. The beach was a short walk and one of the nicest we saw in all of Panama (mix of volcanic and white sand with cliffs above). The weather in Panama at this time of year cannot be beat. It was hot and sunny every single day and there was a nice breeze most days. The property is in a great location with 3 large supermarkets a 10 minute drive away, a great fish market 5 minutes away, and El Valle, a beautiful mountain town, 35 minutes away. We had a terrific time and I would highly recommend this property. Aaron

Excellent find

Lovely home and pool complete with caretaker. Spacious enough for 6 guests comfortably, though two would be in the family room. A must is a car. You can not walk for groceries or restaurants or entertainment,adventures sighseeing etc. This is the only downfall i could see and we have been there twice so obviously a return was warrented. The ocean is in sight and definitely walkable and lovely surfing etc. It is very clean and the pool is newly done and kid friendly while maintaining an adult admosphere with the swim to bar or snack for gang. Its esp. great for two families as the two homes are close togehter and enclosed, along with caretakers' home so it would be fun to have friends using the pool and facilities with you. The caretakers provide cleaning service as well. A lot of fruit trees, producing, on the property and pool toys available, along with outside shower and bath and refrigerator. A great find and reasonably priced for area. Would go again and recommend to all.

AMAZING GETAWAY IN RURAL PANAMA

My family was looking for somewhere a little off the beaten path where we could completely relax and unwind. This was the place!!! Our cottage was extremely well kept and cozy, although we spent very little time inside. Why would we? There was a huge bohio with a sink and fridge next to a beautiful and CLEAN pool. Also, within 5 minutes, we were could be standing alone on a gorgeous black sand beach. Hector and his wife, who care for the property, were super cool and as nice as can be. Anything we needed, all we had to do was ask. We mainly bought groceries and amazing fresh seafood and cooked outside, but we did eat an awesome breakfast at a restaurant down the road. I definitely plan to take my family back!!!

Amazing Retreat!!

OMG! I had the best time in Panama. This rental was fabulous. Every little detail was thought about. Like a swim up bar! So perfect. I was in awe as I sat in the pool and could look out to the ocean. WOW! Relaxing in the hammocks, swimming, being warm. Easy walk to the beautiful sparkling black sand beach. So wonderful! I can't wait to get back to this relaxing retreat. Truly a TREAT!

Best place I have ever stayed

Wow. This place is amazing!! Luxury at it's best. The beds, the hammocks, the patio, the pool, the black sand beach...I loved it all. I will return again and again.
