About this property

Red House, Mangamaunu

Located just 10 minutes North of the Kaikoura township.
Fantastic Bach with direct beach access.
Two spacious bedrooms with a comfortable queen bed in each.
Open living/kitchen areas which open out to beautiful front and back decks.
Private fenced courtyard and own beach access. Can view the surf break from your lounge chair!
All the mod cons, Netflix, unlimited Wifi, Dishwasher, Washing Machine,
Wood Burner, outdoor BBQ and did I mention.... your own beach!
Epic surf break @ Mangamaunu just a 5 minute walk up the beach or 2 minute drive in the car! Close to Meatworks, Graveyards and Irongate.
Great surf casting right out front.
Big opening Bi-folding doors and windows for those beautiful sunny days.
Although only 5 years old, this is a very well established Bach & nestled in amongst lovely trees.

Suitable for up to 4 Adults.
Off-street parking for 2 and a boat or trailer!
Responsible dog owners and their dogs are also very welcome.
(Please ask re fencing)

Please note: the railway line runs between the house and the beach and although there are not many trains, when they do come by, they are very close! This is a novelty for most people, but we understand it's not for everyone.

This is not a serviced Bach so you need to supply your own linen, towels & tea towels and clean after your stay. All cleaning equipment is supplied, but you have to do a good job!

The internet can be temperamental due it being on the old copper network.
Most of December and January are minimum 3 night booking.

Lovely location, the beach was just amazing. The accommodation was good, the lockbox was confusing as there was the one by the gate, which we tried for ages, before realizing that there was a second one closer to the house. The water pump failure was also a bit annoying, the owner could have given us a heads up that there was an issue, so that we didn't spend half an hour trying to work out where to turn the water pump on.Otherwise great accommodation

We loved our stay at Red House, it was very clean and tidy, enjoyed all the comforts and the quirky upcycled design features. A real novelty to be so close to train tracks. The wee house is beautiful - the decor is eclectic and I loved it! The outdoor area was perfect and I can imagine in the summer it would be even better !! Loved that we could have our deputy dawgs with us - they loved that beach !!!
