The house was right on the snowmobile trail. Garage bar area was fun with the dart board. Only complaint is the grill was nonfunctional because the burners were all shot. Cooking supplies were pretty bare.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting the great location and the garage bar area. We appreciate you letting us know about the grill issue—this has since been resolved, and a brand-new grill has been installed and is ready for use. We appreciate your stay and hope to have the opportunity to host you again.
Stayed three nights while turkey hunting. Hunting wasn’t that great. The cabin was very comfortable. We all slept great and enjoyed the peace and quiet at the end of the road.

Quiet and peaceful
House was better than expected, we have been on three snowmobile trips this year and this was the best house we have stayed in. Wish the towns in Michigan were as friendly to Snowmobilers as Wisconsin or the U.P. Is so we would book this house again in a minute!
My family and I very much enjoyed this extremely clean property. More than enough room for the five of us.

I try to look at the positives and not leave negative reviews but i was somewhat disappointed in this house. A dozen mouse bait traps ( 2 in every room) is bit excessive and not very hygienic in my opinion and i am pretty sure i still heard mice in the ceiling during the night…The furnishings in the house were clean and the beds were comfortable but thats about all the good i can say.Its an older home that has had some renovations but very DIY style. Just not something i am happy paying good money to rent. Driveway was poorly plowed 2ft ice bank to access the garage. In front of the house it looked like they tried to burn furniture and got halfway thru and left it…I have stayed at many places in lakes of the north over the past 30 years,,,, there are worse places than this and better places choose carefully…

February Snowmobile trip
Great cottage in Lakes of the North right on the snowmobile trail. The cottage and heated garage were exactly as advertised. Four adults enjoyed our 3 night stay with plenty of space & everything needed for cooking meals and hanging out between rides. Everyone agreed the beds were comfortable.
House was as listed. Some basic were in small supply(dishwasher pods, toilet paper, paper towls). Otherwise it worked well for our group of 7 adult men up for a golf trip.
Nice little cottage, clean and well furnished. We loved that it was at the end of the street which was very quiet. Another huge positive was having the trails right in the back yard. We would most definitely return.
Very nice, power lines right in the back uRd! Amazing

June vacation cottage 2023
The cottage was pretty much as advertised. Large enough for a small group. Kitchen is equipped for cooking. Internet was very good for streaming and other devices. We would book again.
We went up north for a little getaway. Used the cottage as a home base to do local activities.
We were a group of 2 families and we had 5 kids with us. The loft area was perfect for them. The Kids: 12-16 y.o. all enjoyed the pool at the clubhouse. Need to bring your own towels to the pool.
We would stay here again in the future.

It was okay- different color house than advertised
The house is actually a navy blue (which looks really good). It just threw us off because we were looking for a cream house when first arriving.
The landscaping could have been better. The grass was super tall and just needed to be maintained.
The location was good. We went to Torch lake one day and Mackinac Island another day and it was located well for our travels.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cabin. We ran into a couple of snags when we first arrived. Nothing major that ruined our opinion of the place or would prevent us from booking again. But I did reach out to the guest contact and never heard back. Overall though, the home was clean and comfortable. Our kids loved having the loft area all to themselves. It really was the perfect getaway spot after the busyness of Christmas!
The access to trails was perfect, the quiet end of the road was perfect, garage very convenient & definitely a plus for our ATV's. We purchased clubhouse passes but didn't end up using them. Couple cleanliness concerns but nothing too crazy. The bathroom rugs hadn't been washed in a bit and the comforter on the top bunk upstairs had stains all over it. We just took it off. Could use some TLC such as a broken door jam on one bedroom door and damaged drywall in the other. We were just get worried about being blamed. All in all we would rent this property again.
Upon arrival the house had not been clean and beds not made.this was resolved pretty quickly. When we arrived there was 1/2 roll of toilet paper. When they showed up to clean we were gone to dinner. They left one more roll of tp for 4 guys staying 4 nights.. No paper towel in the kitchen. 1 roll would have been nice as we made breakfast every morning. They need a professional to get rid of the mice. We could hear them and traps everywhere. None of these issues on past stays here

Hi Paul, we're truly sorry that your third visit didn’t match the high standards of your previous stays. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Early Arrival & Cleaning: We regret the misunderstanding about your arrival time, which led to the cleaning delay. We acted swiftly once we were aware.- Supplies: We recognize the need for adequate supplies like toilet paper and paper towels, especially for a group of your size. We'll ensure better provisioning in the future.- Rodent Concerns: We're addressing the mouse issue more rigorously, as previous measures were insufficient. Your experience has prompted a thorough reassessment. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to improving our services. Thank you for helping us enhance our guest experience.

Renters be cautious
Upon arrival we noticed grass was long, not a huge deal. (Owner apologized via email). Garage was a big deal for us parking rzrs at night, but the garage door was broken so no garage. 4 youngish kids so wifi was a bonus, but that didn’t work either. I got it working but it cut out Saturday morning. There’s no screens in any of the windows so if you want a cool night breeze, forget about it. After a long day of riding Saturday we all took cold showers as the hot water didn’t work, and anytime the shower was on the bathroom toilet, kitchen sink, and bathroom sink would make bubbling noise and the toilet overflowed during my wife’s shower. (Clean water thankfully) It was nice to know based on the ad, that there’s a trail RIGHT by the house for quick access, but there’s no ORV signs posted because it’s a snowmobile route. Lastly, we found a ton of wolf spiders in our dirty linen bags when we got home. I kindly mentioned the wifi and garage door to the owner via email, they offered a $100 refund, but we never heard from them after responding, and never seen the refund. For almost $900/3nights, we had higher expectations.

Hi Mike, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
- We communicated with you several times throughout your stay and went to generous measures to make things right.
- After your stay, a worker from the garage door company came to the home to address the door. They said it was a minor issue with the track but that the door was working fine.
- The property has central A/C, which guests can use to cool down the house if needed.
- A plumber also visited the home after your departure. They did not find any issues with the water heater and the septic tank was pumped.
- We haven't had any complaints from other guests since, and our cleaning lady confirmed everything is working properly.
The owners do all they can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!
