Beautiful carriage house, very warm with a nice common space on the second floor. Very walkable to anything in the Hillsdale proper. Check in and out was smooth. We stayed early January and it was great. Thank you, would book again!

Thank you for being such wonderful guests! Would love to have you again!
Perfectly clean and beautiful. We enjoyed everything about our stay. While enjoying privacy we were still a short walking distance to the charming town.
We had a beautiful stay at this historic, converted barn home on a super quiet street very centrally located just off the center of town. It was a great size for our family of 5 (children aged 2-7), well furnished and comfortable, clean and ample space to run outside. We had very pleasant breakfasts on the balcony overlooking a mountain shaded by big oaks and maples. Had great fast communication with the owners who were generous to allow an early check-in and provide us with some items we requested. And 10-15min drives to nearby kid-appropriate hikes! Highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay in Daniel and Anita's home. The cottage was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We're looking forward to visiting again.

Thank you for being such wonderful guests! We would love to have yiu again!
The carriage house in Hillsdale was a perfect spot to stay. My wife and I and our adult son stayed for a few days. We came to do some hiking in the Berkshires. The location was great. We planned to do cook dinners. The kitchen would have been more than adequate for this but we ended up eating out most meals as the local restaurant was quite tasty. We had a very minor issue with the house and Dan and Anita were very responsive.
Great location in Hillsdale and stones throw away from restaurants and pubs. House was as described, clean, and communication with host was good. Would stay again.

Thank you for being such wonderful guests. We would sure love to have you again.
We loved this converted barn. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Location is fantastic. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just that the rooms had a tendency to be very humid.

Thank you for staying with us. We wish you had said something about the humidity. Each bedroom has an air conditioner with a de-humidifier option. We left the air conditioners on automatic and it was still like that when we came to clean after you left. It's just a matter of switching it over to the de- humidifier option if the humidity becomes too high for your taste.
We had a great experience and it exceeded my expectations. We make a yearly trip to this area and have already planned on staying here if it is available. Would highly recommend this location
The place was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. It was one of the nicest places we have every rented. For our weekend getaway with the family it as perfect. Definitely will consider a return visit!

Thank you for staying with us. We would love to have you back!
The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also a very quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of everything in the town. We were able to meet our hosts and they were lovely. Would definitely recommend this place
This converted barn was great for our needs because it was spacious for our get together with nearby family. The outdoor space was great for the kids. There was ample cooking supplies and linens
We very much enjoyed our stay here, including seeing from the 2nd floor deck all the deer and birds that elude us at home, the cozy feel of the converted barn, the kind invitation to partake from the kitchen garden, being steps away from a well-stocked small supermarket and local shops, and being welcomed to share in all that the property offers.
We truly loved put visit. The space was perfect for us and had so many lovely elements like the walkable grocery to scooting to the playground to all the state parks nearby have to offer. We loved it and definitely will be back.
This is our second time at this location and it works very well for us

We have been lucky to enjoy this property for the past 35 years.
Why they chose this property
This property is part of the historic district of Hillsdale. Our main house was built in 1827 and we tried to keep as much of the original look and charm of the barn as possible with exposed beams for instance. The property is in the center of town within walking distance of many amenities, yet it is private with 2.7 acres of land; a huge piece of land in the center of town.
What makes this property unique
Centrally located yet private. Cozy and historic.
