This property checked all the boxes, very comfortable, good size. Centrally located in Sea Pines. Pool was great, beach was great, Harbour Town is great. We love HHI. Would stay here again.
There was a problem with insects at first but staff was excellent in responding and found a solution. I was moved to another unit close by and the stay was wonderful.
Loved it , have stayed at lht several times. Floor job a little shoddy. Blinds broke . Dusty
Overall great quiet location. Down for the heritage golf tournament

Hi Cheryl. We appreciate your feedback regarding your recent stay. Thank you for bringing the broken blinds and floor issue to our attention. We will make sure this is addressed so that it is not an issue moving forward. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the location of the property overall and we hope that you continue to book with us.
We enjoyed the stay the only
Thing is needs to be a floor lamp in den and dining table works better diagonal and entertainment center works better with n the corner. Sliding doors need some WD40. We would definitely stay here again was a wonderful week.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review.
Very clean. Lovely sea Pines location. The door code did not work, but management responded quickly and assured me they are working on the issue. Quiet neighborhood. Lagoon view was very relaxing. We will stay again.
Thank you so much for this 5-star review. We really appreciate you being a customer and helping to share the word about us. We’re here for you anytime.
We enjoyed our stay. We’ve been to sea pines for many years but never in October. The weather was beautiful and didn’t spend a lot of time at the apartment. My husband and I were very comfortable on the king bed but my mother had back pain for the week after from the twin bed. I would recommend they invest in a mattress topper.

Nothing goes right
Upon arriving at the property we did not have a parking pass so we had purchase one. The code to get into the unit would not work. After a great delay they give us a 8 unit code to get in. The pool code did not work. The maintenance person brought our parking passes on Tuesday and left them on the table. To late the money we spent was gone.I requested a map of the complex but never received on. Horrible experience.

Underwhelming
The property is well located, but everything you can't see in the images was really poor. We had trouble checking in, it said to pick up sea pines passes in a box next to the office, which was closed at 2PM on a Friday, but ours weren't in the box, requiring us to go back across island to get them later in the day in terrible traffic. The beds and pillows are terribly uncomfortable, our backs still hurt. The china/glassware didn't match and there wasn't enough to serve everyone coffee in the mornings or wine in the afternoons. The flooring is coming up. The chandelier above the table is poorly located so on one side of the table when you get up you hit your head. The dresser drawers don't open easily and the closet doors prevent access to the bathroom in the master bath, one was also falling off the hinge. Many just small but annoying things. We won't stay here again.

Key words are "adequate" and "meh"
The location is the best thing about this property. The pool is nice and you're located right next to Sea Pines Center. You're also a short bike ride to the beach or Harbor Town.
We also had issues with the incorrect door code and wifi info being sent to us. Having to spent 10 minutes on the phone while standing outside the door to the condo with all of our stuff wasn't fun after a 15h drive.
The condo itself is just OK, especially given the price. Everything is super old and outdated. Appliances are ancient (washer and dryer works decently), mattresses are saggy and a million years old. Lots of cracks and gaps in the floor and the sliding door to the patio is very difficult to open.
The kitchen is TINY. Cooking in it is a giant pain because there's hardly any counter space. It's fairly well stocked with dishes and pots and pans but don't expect any cooking spray, salt & pepper, or even a sponge to wash dishes. The dishwasher is also a pain to start.
Don't expect any extras like beach chairs, sand toys, or towels. This was the first time I've stayed in HHI that the condo didn't have at least SOME stuff like that. The whole operation feels like it's run by a large company trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of a place.
In the end, it served its purpose by giving us a place to stay while we were there but we tried to spend as little time in the condo as possible.
Living room blinds inoperative. Property had ants and other insects. I left one day early
Except for above the property was ok. I expected more for the amount of money this place costs

propery was clean and well kept. Major problem was checking-in. I was given the incorrect key code. It had 1 number left off.
Very frustrating and unnecessary!!!
The condo was great, the pool was wonderful. Close distance to beach, harbour town, nature preserve, and horse farm. Definitely recommend renting bicycles - how most people in Sra Pines travel.
The nastiest, most disgusting place, roaches, foul pet urine odor. V trips terrible
This place is an absolute nightmare. Pictures completely misrepresent the unit. First, EVERYTHING in the unit is old and outdated. The microwave and stove had rust all over them and the couches are worn out. It is very dark in the unit and needs more overhead lighting.
As soon as we walked in, I noticed a foul urine pet odor. After investigation we realized the odor was coming from the carpet which had stains on it and felt greasy and sticky (this carpet is a health hazard and needs to be replaced) and from rugs in the bathroom which were so saturated with urine that they actually had mold growing on the back of them. The odor was also noticeable near the vent in the dining area where it appeared some sort of liquid had drained out of the vent and run down the wall.
We called v trips multiple times and finally after several calls an older, obese lady came out and identified herself as a manger. She was rude, dismissive and unprofessional with both her words and her body language. She offered an "ozone" machine the next day for the odor but denied that the odor was present. I told her that her tone was unprofessional and that the odor was absolutely obvious. She said "well I'm missing time from my family and I'd like to be home with them instead of here on a Saturday night. I'm not going to argue with you, do you want the ozone machine or not?" I literally was shocked at her demeanor and rudeness. She never offered any type of cleaning for the carpet or the rest of the condo which had dried food on the table, hairs stuck on countertops, old food on the floor of the kitchen, sand all over the couches, bugs stuck to the ceiling and walls, electrical outlets that were broken with open areas around them, broken blinds throughout the unit (the worst was the sliding glass door blinds which you could not close at all because they were broken, offering no privacy in the living area).
As if all this wasn't bad enough the flooring from the dining area to the kitchen was broken and a trip/fall hazard. The area where the flooring was broken has old food, dirt, trash and bugs down in it, literally disgusting. Finally to top it all off there were roaches in the kitchen. We only stayed 14 hours in the unit because we had no place else to go. We have requested a full refund from v trips and they are refusing.
This place is terrible.
My advice- DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, and DO NOT USE V TRIPS. This was a literal nightmare. I have images of everything.
Had some issues getting packet for entry using after hours lock box. Instructions sent told us to use # sign after access code, but actually had to use ✓ instead

Dated and tired
Very dated and lots of rules from property manager-13 pages of rules that need to be signed.
Carpets need to be cleaned and kitchen could use an update. Little gnats on the ceiling in primary shower. High humidity in bathrooms making it difficult for towels to dry. Beds and bedding should be updated. TVs are very dated.
This place was terrible. We had a very late check in. Got locked in the apartment and could not leave until the next day. Air conditioning system flooded and ruined the floor and ceiling of the apartment below. Coffee pot non functioning. Stove burnt half of the dinner and the other side was raw. Had two days lost to waiting on repair people to show up. Overall it was a truly terrible time. Would not recommend to anyone

Fun time
Great location, we use to own one of these units years ago.
This was a great space, though it's good to know that it's 20 steps up, with two landings and turns to the front door. I moved in with help but needed to leave on my own (Coronavirus "escape") and it was a lot of up and down.
The beds are comfortable. There was no blanket for the king bed, but I was provided a brand new one the 2nd day there. The kitchen is well-equipped, though out-dated (i.e., plain, painted cupboards, vinyl floor, but perfectly adequate). The master bath is huge and the shower is, as well. There's lots of closet space for clothing, though there's a mildew smell in the guest closet. 3 tvs for you fans of television. Huge dining room table with adequate seating (4 chairs & a bench).

BEWARE OF COPPERHEAD SNAKES
The villa was mostly clean with the exception of water stains on the master bedroom headboard.
We loved the spaciousness of the master bath shower and bathroom.
The check-in process was frustrating, as our code did not work for entry.
For individuals terrified of snakes and with children, pets or the elderly, some warnings should be listed in the area and on the site for people to be alert and watchful for copperhead snakes and alligators.
We had a run in with a copperhead snake one night which kept us out of our villa for over an hour in the dark in our pj's while we were also being eaten alive by mosquitoes.
The villa entrance is dark and not well lit.
The landscaping around the villa is filled with pine needles which stay wet and snakes love that. They need to be mulched since mulch holds heat that will deter snakes.
The villa was about a mile away from the beach and access to the Sea Pines beach club was limited to 50 vehicles per day. If the lot is full, you must park a mile away and ride the trolley to the beach club. That is fine unless you have pets, they cannot ride the trolley.
The bike paths were great if you choose to take your bike to the beach and there is always room to park the bikes.
I would like to see more warnings about the poisonous snakes, better lighting and better mulching to deter the snakes.
I would also like to see an alternative for people with pets to park at the beach. Maybe some temporary parking to unload if you have pets, or park if you have pets since they have limited hours to be on the beach.
I would also suggest some sort of outdoor emergency service for folks who are trapped outside of their villa. We saw someone peek out of their window blinds when we had the snake encounter & they heard the commotion, but weren't willing to get involved as they assumed it was a domestic dispute. How would one get help if it were a domestic issue?
We also experienced some sinking sand at the lighthouse at Harbor Town. I sunk down to my ankle with one step and down to my shorts (knee) with the second step. Again, there was no warning posted of the fragile sand and it is very dangerous for anyone who steps over into the sandy area behind the parking lot.
I would also suggest that any new reviews get emailed to individuals who have booked a reservation, as we noticed a snake review was posted only after we had booked our reservation. Poisonous snakes are a game changer for us with small dogs and children.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, poisonous snakes are native to South Carolina and we cannot do anything to prevent them. The property does take measures to try to mitigate them, but they do exist.

Cooper head bites my daughter
Walking on the path to condo at night, my daughter was bitten by a Cooper head snake. The walls were thin and could here the upstairs neighbors every step. Still we made the best of the situation and would visit Hilton head again in the future.
