This charming cabin offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a spacious living room area with wood burning stove, Finished basement / bunk room with 6 Twin Beds and Large flat screen TV and is a great property for sledding, snow shoeing, hiking, etc. The town of Chester is conveniently located in the Okemo Valley Region of southern Vermont. Manchester, Woodstock, Brattleboro and Rutland are all an easy drive from Chester. Grafton, Weston and Saxtons River are also nearby and all offer a wide variety of antiquing, dining, shopping, family fun, and more. The cabin is ideally located in close driving distance to Okemo (23 mins), Magic Mountain (15 mins), Bromley (45 mins), Stratton (45 mins), and Killington (45 mins). Be sure to visit Queechee for its notorious Hot Air Balloon festivals throughout the year. The VAST trail system is minutes away and easily accessible. Nearby Grafton Ponds offers hiking, cross country skiing, ice skating, and tubing. Okemo Valley Golf Course as well as Tater Hill Golf Course are both within a 25 minute ride.

Ski weekend

This was a great house, which provided a terrific setting for our ski weekend at Okemo Mountain. We had a terrific time, and I would recommend this to others, without hesitation!

Felt like home

This was such a lovely place to spend a fall weekend! The stars came into alignment and our whole extended family had the chance to visit this beautiful area to be with old family friends who just moved to town. This house was so cozy, from the bedding to the large living room to the warm finished basement for playing pool/fuse ball. Kids were pleased to explore the beautiful property and watch the visiting turkeys each morning. Was very nice to have laundry while traveling with young kids. We had everything we needed, felt very at home, and Eric was very responsive. We will for sure be back!!

The property was wonderful for 2 families. There was plenty of room with all necessary amenities provided, close enough to Okemo, and game room perfect for teens! Eric’s (the owner’s communication) very prompt. Great getaway !

Our stay in Chester was just what we needed for a break from the city. Nestled on a beautiful piece of property, this house had everything we needed to keep us entertained and cozy for the weekend. There was more than enough room for the four of us with a fully equipped kitchen and finished basement that we sadly didn't make much use of. The house does tend to be on the cooler side so you'll definitely want to keep the wood burning stove going.

A great place to hide from the world

We were looking for a place to be able to relax, unwind, and not have to deal with the outside world any more than necessary -- and this was the perfect place. Big yard, fire pit, plenty of room to stretch out and relax, would come back in a heartbeat.

Very pleasant stay for leaf peeping in Vermont

We enjoyed staying in the very well appointed home. I would stay there again. My wife had some concerns with the ceiling mounted camera in the dining area pointed towards the front door, but the owner had no problem with us unplugging it while we were there.

Wonderful log cabin

The cabin was perfect for our family’s (3 adult children and 2 parents) long weekend of skiing at Okemo. The cozy log cabin was roomy enough for all of us with a nice big dining room table and living room with wood stove. The basement has fun games like pool and foosball and the beds were really comfortable. The cabin is very close to Chester village but tucked away with pretty views. Took about 17 mins to drive to downtown Ludlow. The owner answered all my questions quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

GREAT!

The pictures do not do it justice. Much better then the pics look and definitely has a warm feeling to it, wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely plan on renting again
