Easy access to beach

My 7 adult family member stayed at this house for a weekend at the beach. It is located across the street from the beach and has a great view of the gulf. Communication with the owner and staff was so helpful and we all had a wonderful stay there. Definitely recommend this rental for a relaxing weekend or longer.

Galveston trip

The owner/manager informed us of household essentials necessary on 2 hrs before check in. Such short notice was not polite. I wish the listing had informed of these necessities. And the quilt and pillow shams need a good washing.

Wonderful Home

The property was exactly as described and pictured. Great location and cute house. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Property manager and owner both reached out before our stay and were extremely accommodating and wonderful to work with. The only issue for me which would stop me from renting the house again was the size of the bed in the master bedroom. No shade to the owners as I knew it was a queen bed when I rented the home. It was very comfortable, but my husband and I prefer a king size bed. Other than that (my personal preference), absolutely don’t hesitate to rent this home for your next vacation!!

Great location! Beautiful Beach House!

A beautiful spot to get away from work and relax! Only complaint, be sure to grocery shop for the time you will be in the area, the local grocery stores are extremely over priced. Other than that we all had a great time!

Lovely beach house!

This house was perfect for our summer getaway at the beach. It has great ocean views and is within walking distance to the public beach access point (must cross sometimes busy street). The owners were wonderful and checked in on us to ensure entry into the house. Would highly recommend this house.

From the listing, to the check in to the property, to check out, everything was exquisite. The house is beautiful and bright and well equipped. The location was just what we wanted. The property manager and owner are very helpful and responsive. Can't wait to return again to make more amazing memories. Squid Row, you did not disappoint!!

Wonderful beach house

This house was in a great location to the beach and shops. It's open and bright and we loved sitting out on the huge deck. The only downfall is that you're not allowed to use the washer and dryer. So you'll need to pack a lot of clothes or go to the laundry mat, which is not good for a vacation.

Home away from home

We had a wonderful Christmas here and hope to be back sooner than later. Our contact for check in was very nice and accommodating the owner reached out to make sure we were doing well and wished us a Merry Christmas. We couldn't have been happier with the house we chose. Great location, comfortable, spacious and still cozy. Kitchen is well equipped, plenty of towels in the bathrooms. In the picture I didn't notice the table/bench downstairs so I was happily surprised when I saw it although we never used it.. Great place!

Thanksgiving at the Beach

Great stay at Squid Row. Great floorplan for family with 3 adult kids. Plenty of space. Property manager and owner very responsive when minor question arose. Kitchen well equipped. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of parking. Nice view of the sunrise (from deck or inside through french doors in living or master.)

Great space to gather with family. Good floorplan for 5 adults. Kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of cabinet storage space. Short walk to beach. Deck great to watch sunrise.

Good weekend!

Great location! The proximity and the view of the beach is great even though it's not directly on the beach. Great house, there are a couple of closets that are locked for the homeowners belongings/cleaning supplies. These extra closets would have come in handy for storing food and/or extra supplies. Any houseguests needs to bring their own blankets, because only the master downstairs had an actual bedspread. The rest just had sheets and very light blanket/throw available. The air conditioning works great! The mattresses are not very comfortable. So, if you are looking for a soft, thick mattress, you are out of luck. Other than that, we had no complaints. Bring kitchen towels/rags, none are available. There are plenty of cooking utensils, pots & pans, plates etc. We would stay here again, no problem. The local contact is great. Any questions we had before and during the stay, we were answered back almost immediately.

Fun Times

Really enjoyed the home and loved its location, awesome view and easy access to the beach. Suggest getting a foam topper for master bed and upgrade the pillows. Also, with 8 people at least one more roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Overall loved our stay there !!

Great space and View of Beach

We enjoyed our time at the beach house. The view of the beach across the street is great. The house was slightly smaller than expected, but honestly it is a great space. The location is about 45 minutes away from downtown Galveston which we didn't really expect. All in all, it was a great stay!

We were a little frustrated with not having a closet in the master as it was the owners closet. Also we really needed washer and dryer. Other than that the property was acceptable. May need an upgrade on skillets and pots. We did enjoy our time there

Family retreat

Rented this property last year too. This year is was much easier coming into the house. Property mgr was excellent better than last year. House is across the street from the beach, 3-4 minute walk. Sit on the deck and watch the waves in the evening or sunrise.

Loved the place itself and the view, very disappointed that boat ramp key did not work and washer/dryer behind a locked door. Owner/Manager did not resolve boat ramp situation, which wasted much of our stay being unable to put our boat in the water.

This property was perfect. It was the right size for my family. The location was awesome, just a short walk and you are at the beach. Sitting on the porch listening and watching the waves was so relaxing. Well worth it!!

Terramar Beach.

Location was great. Had some issues in the beginning co (not vrbo) with communications in receiving the check-in information. I emailed with no response and finally called to have the emails sent to me so I had the key box code. Past reviews are correct that only 1 towel per person so bring extra. Kitchen dishes were limited and weren't always very cleaned so I had to use run them through dish washer. Only salt/pepper were provided (I washed the salt shaker because it was so dirty) and bought salt to refill it. Also, bring kitchen garbage bags and extra dishwasher soap (1 per day was provided) and also soap for the bathroom/showers too. The location was great, loved sitting on the deck the morning/evening drinking coffee or wine. And beach was nice and not crowded.

Short Beach Getaway

We had great family time enjoying the beach. The house was clean and decorated with a tasteful “beachy” vibe. The Guest manager was friendly and helpful. No pool due to Covid so that was a bit of a bummer but of course the ocean is full of fun. I would suggest bringing a few extra towels as there was only a few provided for the bathrooms and with no washer and dryer, beach towels are never really cleaned the entire trip. The grill is small and outdated- not great for our family of five but we still enjoyed or beach cookout dinners.
