Wonderful Home Near The Beach

Wonderful home near the beach and Coligny Park. Beautiful pool, and lots of space for our group. Would stay here again!

Location was good. Large deck was awesome, very tropical feeling. Living room dining room area a little small for number of guests that unit holds. Half bath near pool could have been cleaner. Did appreciate all the parking spaces.

Great Pool

Plenty of room for the 9 of us. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked for our needs. The house was generally clean, although there were areas that could use attention. The beach supplies were also lacking as the boogie boards were all broken along with the umbrella. The pool however was terrific. It was very large and was well maintained with lots of chairs and tables.

2023 family vacation

We loved, loved, loved this place! The location was great for both the proximity to the ocean as well as the little plaza for last minute items and ice cream! Having our own pool was wonderful and the kids were in heaven! The house was perfect for our family! The fact that there were 3 bathrooms in the main house, one in the MIL suite and one near the pool was especially helpful. Possibly the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. Additionally, 3 refrigerators helped too, especially one by the pool. The extra beach chairs helped cut down on cost of chair rentals! Had a little trouble connecting with the rental company but nothing was urgent or important, just inquiries, and eventually got back with us. We had previously stayed in Sea Pines and loved it, but preferred this rental for all the conveniences. Would absolutely go back!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. However, the house is not equipped with a beach wagon which made transporting beach gear difficult. The newly renovated pool area is nice (with 1 major drawback - see below). The main living area inside the house is very small. Our party of 10 (6 adults; 2 teens; 2 kids) could not sit comfortably together for dinner nor relaxing. The biggest complaint we have is that there are 5 UNDISCLOSED outdoor video cameras. While cameras aimed at entry points may be understandable, we did not appreciate the cameras around the pool area. We would not have rented this house if we had known as this is an invasion of privacy, excessive, and not appropriate, ESPECIALLY with teenage girls and young children utilizing the space. When I called to complain, I was told that the owner installed the cameras "to monitor for unapproved use." If the owner/mgmt company is concerned with the space being used by non-renters, then a coded gate to access the pool area would be much more appropriate than undisclosed cameras. Not acceptable.

The pool was unusable which really made it frustrating. This property did not have a pool heater and silly me I assumed they would have that as an option. Therefore the pool was so cold we couldn't use it. It was the sole reason we chose this place.

The home next door at 8 Egret does have that option, so perhaps on your next visit to the island you can reserve that one. Hope everything else was to your liking. Thanks again.

We have older people who come back and forth taking breaks from beach. And free Roku was a bit of disappointment. Otherwise perfect place. Lots of room for parking also.

They were accommodating and responsive. The house was plenty big for a large group. Pros: Location to beach and Coligny plaza, outdoor bathroom near the pool, large driveway able to hold multiple cars, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful decks to enjoy coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening, located on a quiet street. Very pleased with our stay and planning to return next year!

Location, location, location! This home was perfect for our group! So close to the beautiful beach and all the shops and restaurants in Coligny. The home was very clean, and communication with property management was excellent!

Fun in the sun

In short, this was a great house and a fantastic location! We had plenty of room and it felt like we were in our own home. Would recommend to a family that wants a pool and easy access to a beach, on a great part of the island.
