South Melbourne is a sprawling inner-city suburb well-connected with the rest of the city via numerous tram lines. It’s a popular dining hub, thanks to its restaurants and coffee shops along Clarendon Street and in the surrounding streets. The neighbourhood offers a more tranquil atmosphere with its small parks and local markets, but is still only 10-20 minutes from the cosmopolitan dining, late-night entertainment and international shopping in the city’s central and riverside neighbourhoods.

The Dorcas St/Clarendon St tram station is about 160 metres away and has regular services to the Melbourne CBD in about 20 minutes. There are bus stops located on Cecil Street with multiple lines servicing the city centre and surrounding suburbs.
