A barn made into a house. Quite Country setting on several acres just 10 mins from Springfield IL. Bedrooms & Bathroom are located upstairs with an outside entrance. Open stairway in house too. Kitchen table seats 6 people. Coffee Maker, Toaster, Gas Stove, Refrigerator and Freezer. Central Air and Heat. 2 bathrooms with showers. Beautiful Flowers & Trees and an outside seating area as well.

Thanksgiving at the Barn

Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful and fun time at the Barn. The Barn is Sandy’s and her husband’s home when guests are not there, and so it has many wonderful and fascinating collections, amenities, and comforts. The Barn is very spacious, with an open kitchen-living room. Given the November weather, we especially enjoyed the large outdoor saltwater hot tub, and large fire pit with plenty of wood. You should know that the 5 beds upstairs are not all entirely private. Hard to explain, but the second floor “rooms” are essentially walk throughs. Nonetheless, the space is generous including the upstairs bathroom. The bedroom arrangement was not a problem for us at all.

Eclectic and spacious

We recently stayed at the barn while in town for the Mother Road Festival with friends. Eight adults for two nights. Accommodations worked well. The gardens and outdoor spaces were lovely and wish we would have had more time to enjoy them. Quiet area but minutes from town. Have spoken with the host since our stay about some tips for providing information on check in/out, amenities and she was very gracious and accommodating.

Great place, and location. Lots of room inside and out. Perfect outside swing for coffee in the morning.
