A quaint neighborhood right in Downtown Vancouver. The street is a bike corridor making travel around the city a breeze. Off the beaten path just enough to enjoy some peace and quite but walking distance from a number of cool spots (we love Latte Da and Simply Sweets Bakery) and the always useful grocery store.
About a mile from Uptown village where you can find Sasquatch Pizza, numerous bars, restaurants, several antique stores, breweries, food trucks, coffee shops and various shopping!
2 miles to brand new Waterfront with a hand full of wineries or to the heart of downtown and Esther Short, home of an awesome, sprawling farmers market on Saturdays along with various other events and concerts in the park.
Some more of our Vancouver favorites:
Amaro’s Table has the best happy hour! Little Conejo: Mexican food. REALLY GOOD Mexican food. We can't recommend it enough. La Bottega is a bit like a deli, but so much better and you can find some really great wines lining the shelves.
Access to the entire home and backyard area.
Walk through that spunky front door into the comfortable, welcoming living room. The main floor is where you'll find a full kitchen and dining table that seats 6 along with a sparkling bathroom and 2 bedrooms.

Our host, Jamison, welcomed us with straight forward directions for entering the home, taking care of trash. We love the layout and room sizes. We were warm and comfortable. Our only concern is the frig. We tried to warm the main compartment but it froze our salad, milk, and coffee creamer. Its alarm when the door opens drove my daughter nuts. I’m sure it will be better in future. We love this VRBO!

Thank you so much for your kind review—we’re really happy to hear you felt warm and comfortable and enjoyed the layout and room sizes. We’re also glad our directions made arrival and day-to-day details easy for your stay.
Thank you for flagging the refrigerator as well. We appreciate you bringing that to our attention and we have taken a look at it and resolved the issue with replacement parts so it functions properly for future guests. Feedback like this truly helps us fine-tune the experience.
We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay overall and loved the home. We’d be happy to host you again anytime!
Love the house and neighborhood. Our daughter and her husband plus her figure skate coach and husband were with us. Plenty of room for us all. Pool table and games provided plenty of entertainment. Great host!

Thank you for your review! We’re glad the house and games made your stay enjoyable. We’d be happy to host you again.
All in all this place was decent. The facilities were OK for an older home. Unfortunately, the refrigerator did not work properly as it froze food that was left in it. That meant we had to place our milk in hot water each morning in order to thaw enough to use. The host was very responsive but it did not get fixed during the 3 days we were there, even though, allegedly, the maintenance team did "fix" it while we were out (they did not). There were 2-3 throw rugs on the tile floors that we (as people in our 70s) tripped on. We had to roll them up and store them for better traction. The stairs to the basement level are narrow and rather steep and the handrail was a bit loose. While this was not a real problem for us who used the basement bedroom, it could be for others with more limited mobility.

Very nice house in an excellent neighborhood. Close to downtown and easy access to I-5. 3 bedrooms with very comfortable king beds. Well appointed kitchen. Nice game room/lounge in the basement.

Thank you for your review! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the home. We'd love to host you again in the future!
Nice older(well taken care of)home in a quiet residential neighborhood. Location was fabulous close to everything! The home had everything we needed for a long weekend. The property management was so quick to respond a burnt out lightbulb in the kitchen. The house was cozy and we felt very much at home. Would definitely rent this place again. Thanks!

The house is amazing and exceeded our expectations. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen well stocked, absolutely loved the coffee and the space to spread out. The neighborhood is fabulous and we enjoyed walking everyday. And being so close to the waterfront was a bonus.
This was a very nice house. The king beds were the selling point for us and were very comfortable. The house was clean and in a safe neighborhood. The property manager responded quickly with all communication. Definitely would recommend.
Due to an illness in the family, we were unable to use this lovely home as planned. However, I would like to comment on my interactions with the VRBO host. My text conversations back and forth were simply the best. Any questions or concerns were immediately answered. Sympathy and well wishes to our unfortunate situation,I plan to visit Vancouver again in 2026 and will definitely try to book this home then.Thank you Host for being so pleasant and supportive and helpful.I am answering Excellent to all questions in order to submit this review. I am making the assumption their home is as excellent as the verbal service I received

Pamela, thank you so much for your kind words. We’re truly sorry to hear about your family’s illness and are keeping you in our thoughts. It means a lot that you still took the time to share such a thoughtful review despite not being able to stay. We’ll be honored to host you in 2026 when you return to Vancouver, and we’ll look forward to welcoming you then
I really cannot day enough good about this listing! We loved this house! The decorating and updated look and feel were welcoming and comfy. We were immediately aware of the cleanliness of the space, which helped us relax right away. The house is in a great quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the cute uptown area.
Communication was consistent and cordial. Instructions clear. Easy access to property and the home clean, well stocked, and gorgeously decorated. The neighborhood was quiet, in a good area of the city. If you enjoy the older wooden houses as we do this place does not disappoint. The converted basement into its own separate living area was perfect for my adult daughter and son in law.

Great location, reasonable ameneties, some small issues...
Location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the Portland Expo Center, which was only 11 minutes away. Very easy access to freeways and groceries, which was awesome. House access was also great. Only had 2 real complainta about the property.1. Lack of dressers/clothing storage which meant we had to live out of our suitcases, which hasn't optimal.2. The downstairs bathroom was barely usable for us. The double sink limited counter space in a significant way for our toiletries. Also, the shower was claustrophobic, and if you turn on the water it immediatley sprays out of the shower space if you have the door open trying to get temp right before getting in the shower.

Potential but needs some TLC
The house is charming and has potential, but unfortunately, the pros did not outweigh the cons. Pros-beautiful neighborhood, quality sheets and towels, pool table. Cons-the basement couch did not pull out to a bed as listed. In my communication with Jamison, he confirmed the basement couch pulled out, but when I indicated that we could not figure it out, I did not hear back from him about the couch. We had to send one of our family members to my brothers VRBO for a bed.if this property was professionally cleaned, they need to hire someone new. The smell of the plug in air fresheners was overwhelming, but we were able to open the windows for fresh air. Ants in the living room, standard pillowcases on all the king size pillows, pans were greasy from the last guest, 2 out of 3 light bulbs on the upstairs bathroom vanity burned out, bugs and cobwebs in the corner behind the front door, mold in the downstairs shower, dry rot in the lower wall next to the shower. I had inquired if there was a drip coffee maker, and the property manager said it was a Keurig with pods provided. It is actually a Keurig with a brew pot set up. No big deal, but we would have brought filters. This and the pullout couch issue makes me think the property manager has not been in the house in a while. This house was nicely decorated but it was not sparkling clean like other VRBO's we had stayed in-we made it work. I did communicate my concerns, offered to send pics, and received an apology from Jamison
The home and neighbourhood were perfect for our stay. This quaint mid-century home was clean and quiet. The wifi was fast and the AC was great for the warm week of summer.
We are extremely happy with our stay. The location was perfect for us to get around Vancouver and a short drive into Portland. Great neighborhood with shopping and restaurants close by. We would not hesitate to book this property again on a return trip.
House and neighborhood was perfect. Excellent communication with owner.
House and neighborhood perfect. Clean, safe and comfortable. Close proximity to Portland, wine country and beautiful local neighborhood coffee and restaurants.
