About the host
Hosted by Paul Murphy

Originally from the UK, with family ties to Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area, but Canada has been our home since 1975. We inherit a family home just 3 doors away in the same terraces of homes, which we upgraded for our own use and offered as a holiday let to offset expenses, this was in 2011. We are grateful to our many guests who have supported our small successful venture over the years. From this experience we decided to purchase this property which was in need of extensive upgrade . We owe much to the Hebden Bridge community that has supported our family over the years, and like to think that while meeting own objectives we are supporting local tourism in the Hebden Bridge and thus the local economy. We ensure were ever possible we source all our required services from Hebden Bridge to support the local area is in return is key to our success.
Why they chose this property
The three rules of the property world apply : Location Location Location. This property is located within a 2 minute saunter to the town square of Hebden Bridge which is the center of the town. Located on quiet cobbled street with all that Hebden Bridge has to offer within a short walking distance .. come in your car and park it, or better still, come on the train and walk from the station to the house in 10 minutes. The propriety has been 100% rebuilt in 2019 / 2020 ... New roof system / Kitchen extension/ New interior steel support system to allow the stair case to be relocated to meet todays standards / One large kitchen / dining / living area on the ground floor with a downstairs toilet, total of 4 bedrooms sleeping 6 adults on the two floors, with one main floor 4 pcs bathroom and a en-suite shower room on the top floor. The house is fully equipped. Including a washer / dryer / dishwasher / induction cook top / fridge freezer / Smart TV with free view / gas "log effect" fire with remote control / zoned WiFi central heating ... Our intent was to ensure that the house offers a central location, in a home, that whilst offering every modern amenity, reflects its Victorian heritage.
