You have to have a boat to get to this house.

Great place to get away and relax and enjoy being on the water and the weather.
If you don’t have a boat Whitman hollow has anything you need to rent to get there.
Best wings on the lake.
Everything you need is here. Kitchen is complete with utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker, dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer. Also an ice maker. Lake water pump with filter & UV treatment system.
All bedding towels and washer/dryer for your convenience.
The deck has a grill and patio furniture for your entertainment.
A few board and card games to play too.
Can tie up your boat at the house.
If you never been to Whitman hollow marina your missing out it got voted number 1 marina in 2020
The place is professionally cleaned after each stay. It’s definitely experience you don’t want to miss out on!

This house was perfect for the two families that stayed here. We had 7 kids between us and we all had a blast. Plenty of room for everyone and perfect for playing in the water all day.

A perfect getaway

Let me start by saying that this place is the best of both worlds. You are directly on the water, so you can float, paddle board, or jump right on your boat, but you still have the amenities of a traditional house. There was plenty of space for sleeping and the kitchen is fully stocked. The added bonus is an ice maker and washer and dryer. The location is also great; you are close enough to the marina if you need to get something, but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. We will definitely be back!

We are locals who house our boat at another marina but wanted to see if we would enjoy a floating house. The answer is YES! It’s better than a houseboat or a lake house with a million steps to the water. This house is clean and as described. The beds are comfortable. The location is perfect. Now for some nitty gritty details… (We’ve rented enough to know that we sometimes have to bring extra stuff to be most comfortable, but what?) 1. Do not pack coolers of food, there will not be room in the refrigerator. It was stocked with at least 3 ketchups, 3 BBQ sauces, eggs, milk, beer, condiments, etc. ( I didn’t know which one was our ketchup, so I left it too lol.)2. They had plenty of dish towels and soaps in all the bathrooms and the kitchen. 3. Pack your beach towels, fun floaties and bring your boat! Do not bring your lily pad. They already have 2! 4. Their pedal boat is wonderful! It was faster and more efficient than the kayaks our friends brought. 5. Get up early and enjoy the water and deck while the sun is beating on the back of the house. The sun sets off the front deck. Our stay was 94-98 degrees, but my boat read 105 degrees in the sun. At 4 pm, I wanted shade. However, the AC in this house works wonderfully!6. Enjoy the marinas and the bands on the weekends. Go to the jumping rock even if just to watch. Enjoy the peaceful water during the weekdays. Better to ride:)You will love this vacation rental at this wonderful marina on the best lake.

Horrible management by owners

The first night we checked in, the toilet overflowed. There was limited cell service so we had to go to ashore to call the property owner several times. There were no apologies and they didn’t handle it professionally at all. They had a friend supposedly fix it, but it was not. He actually took a cup and was scooping nasty toilet water into the tub and said no one would be cleaning the bathroom. I had to clean the whole bathroom and tub myself.. The problem wasn’t fixed and they blamed the issues on our ignorance. We did nothing wrong and had no issues with the other toilet. All our guests had to use the master bathroom and would come into our room in the middle of the night and wake us. I called the property owner again to report the issue and he ignored me, didn’t return my call, and didn’t have it fixed. The toilet stank so badly through our entire stay. They were so rude and adamantly declined our request for compensation. In the listing they say they have WIFI; they do not. The listing says there are 4 bedrooms; there are not! They have a bunk bed in the family room right next to the front door and count that as a bedroom. One of our group slept in the middle of the family room! They do not have the marina or other professional management to take care of the issues that arise. We loved the lake and plan to return, but NOT TO THIS PROPERTY.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. You clogged the toilet and then it overflowed in the middle of the night and didn’t even put a towel down so yeah it’s going to stink. No worries I and the guy who fixed it had to clean up the mess that you made worse by not even putting a towel down and not treating the place like your own! After you left the toilet was not clogged a 2nd time. All you needed to do was push empty and the toilet was fine. I did apologize to you in the message telling you I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. You didn’t go by the rules as asked. We never got your 2nd call so how could we help you if we didn’t get it?
