The house was perfect for what we needed it for! I will say for anyone who has not been to Gordonsville, it is a bit off the beat and path with little around so plan accordingly, especially if traveling with children. Hosts were great and the house has everything we could have needed.
The property was great and we enjoyed the house as well as the setting. The kitchen was well equipped, the grill and fire pit helped us make great memories, and the kids enjoyed downtime in the house playing games. It was a great trip and we look forward to coming back again!
Good central location for visiting wineries and breweries. House is nicely laid out with bedrooms separate from other living areas. Backyard space was great
Only downside is the traffic on Rt 231 which passes by. A little noisy, not terrible but a little distraction
We plan on staying here again
Spacious Farm House, Cozy Charm, Modern Conveniences
A perfect location for seeing the sights around Charlottesville during the day and retreating a night to the countryside.
Five of us, for a family reunion, enjoyed gathering around the dining room table, the living room, the outdoor terrace, and the kitchen island.
Kitchen is well equipped and bed/bathrooms clean and comfortable.
Host contact was lovely and responsive when called with a minor request.

Lovely home
Beautiful home that had everything we would need! Super clean and spacious, great for a family or friend get-together and close to tons of wineries and breweries. There are not a lot of food options in the immediate vicinity but if you drive toward the grocery store there are a few!

This is an amazing property. It's comfortable, homey, clean and in good condition. The hosts provided nice touches and amenities such as plenty of linens, toiletries, a huge fire pit and plenty of wood to burn. I loved little notes and labels that identified where things were located.
Six of us stayed for three nights at this house so we could visit local wineries and historical locations. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and firepit and the chef's kitchen. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a cutting board.
Large dining room table and living room to accommodate our group.
We had good communication with Allison, the owner, who was very responsive to the few questions we had. Would recommend this property!

Loved the country farmhouse charm!
The charm of the house was good—very well-appointed for toys, cooking utensils, laundry needs. Drawback was stovetop burners were not igniting properly, both ovens worked after having to tweak, cleanliness was not top-notch, but not a factor overall as to rating. Loved the homey ness and seclusion. Thank for sharing your country VRBO with us!

Hi Perry, the homeowner would like to share the following: "Greetings Perry! We are glad you enjoyed our country farmhouse in November. We strive to listen to every comment and continue to improve our space and are grateful for your feedback. We will investigate the BlueStar stovetop and see why the ignition system is lagging. We did just replace them so perhaps there is a clog there. Also, the ovens will get maintenance and we will also do a deep clean. Again, thank you for staying with us, and appreciate the constructive comments!"

Fabulous home close to Everything!!
What a darling property for our recent Girls’ Trip! Beautifully decorated with more than everything we needed. Extremely responsive owners and was the perfect setting for 8 ladies! Close to wineries, Shenandoah Valley Park and everything we had on our itinerary! Especially loved the great service and atmosphere at nearby Patch Brewery Castle Hill Cider and Champion Ice House. Would definitely return and stay at this lovely home again. First trip to Virginia for all of us, and we loved everything!! From Texas Pokeno Pretties
This house is special. It has so
Many wonderful unique furniture. Art , books. The home has been updated with an extra large kitchen. We enjoyed the small ice in the ice maker. Beds were super comfortable. I recommend privacy shades or blackout curtains in bedrooms. Otherwise great weekend and would come back again.
We had a short girl's weekend and enjoyed the downtown area of Gordonsville along with the brewery & wineries close by. The house had everything you needed including coffee and filters!
Allison was responsive but we really didn't need her as everything in the house was well labeled and everything was easy to find.
We will be back, thank you!

family birthday
Our family lives in 2 opposite areas in Va . This was a perfect rendevous point. We enjoyed the fire pit, lovely outdoor areas. Big family room and kitchen is where we all congregated.
Only concern was steep steps going to second floor
.. other than that owners did a fantastic job of making our time with family perfect. We hope to come back again.

Small town Home
The town was great, loved Gordensville. The house did not have any address numbers. It is on a very busy street with cars speeding by all hours of the night. There are no window shades on ANY of the windows, including the bedrooms. Felt like we were in a fish bowl. There was a bug problem in the master bedroom and bath and one of the bedrooms downstairs.
Green Spring was exactly what we hoped for and more!
This sweet farmhouse was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's 60th b'day with our 3 grown children, spouses and lab puppy. The home was immaculate yet comfy, cozy and spacious. The kitchen is beautiful and was important to us as we cooked and ate every meal there (thank you COVID19). The living room and bedrooms are also spacious and relaxing, with beautiful artwork and furnishings throughout. The outdoor area was lovely - plenty of seating, swings, fire pit, beautiful trees, plants, flowers... just what you would imagine at a well-loved farmhouse; and with updates to keep the area fresh, clean and usable. The countryside in this part of VA is breath-taking with the rolling hills, mountains and swaths of green, green grass! Thanks for sharing your home!

Great house!
We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. The house was clean & inviting.
The beds were comfortable and linens were soft & fresh. The towels were nice and bonus of toiletries were included as well. We were 2 families of 4 traveling together. The 4 kids loved the bunk beds and were excited to have their own room & beds. The kitchen was stocked with tea & hot chocolate and even had an electric tea kettle available and most the basics. The house had such magical character, we would have loved to hear it's history. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the 2 upstairs showers was not good, but I imagine that's probably just to be expected in an old house. While there is a brewery technically within walking distance of the house, it is located on a highway and it is not safe to walk anywhere. But the house is close to the grocery store & cute downtown of Gordonsville and many wonderful wineries. Thanks for a great stay!
The property is located in a gorgeous, very convenient spot. It has the charm of a farmhouse on really pretty land with some acreage. It has great outdoor amenities to include a stone fireplace and a fire pit. There was wood onsite, so we were able to gather around a lovely fire in the fire pit on Christmas night. It was magical! The kitchen and dining area along with den was the main gathering area and plenty big for 9 family members. The den now has a sectional sofa, so the appearance of the room is different than photos. But it is bound to fit more guests more comfortably. The house seems to have been renovated with an addition and it is really cool. The bedrooms are spacious and there are three full bathrooms. Love the decor!!! The kitchen is big with practically every utensil, mixing bowls, platters, pots and pans you’d need. Great bar with awesome bar ware! Some of the nonstick pots and pans are scratched pretty badly, probably because guests may not take best care of things when using them and cleaning. We ventured out to Orange one evening for dinner at Main Street Tavern (MST), very good and Orange was all dressed up in Christmas lights, beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay, enjoyed walking around and hanging outside, and loved our family meals around the dining room table. We would recommend this house for a really charming and fun experience.
