Great Location. Nice house, very comfortable and spacious hanging out areas. Amazing game room (s). We really enjoyed our stay and the host was extremely accomodating.
Nice place, as advertised, easy experience all around, clean, great location, lots of amenities and entertainment… The nearly 100 year old shuffle board table is the best I’ve ever experienced! Recommended all around
Amazing! Loved the cute homey atmosphere of this well maintained, fully stocked home. And the location is perfect. On the main street- next to all stores. Kids spent 2 days in door without leaving the house, with all the games and things to do in the downstairs
We really enjoyed staying here. The place was clean and nice and really worked for our family. The location was great as we were right in town and it was really convenient.
Thanks so much.
We had the best time staying at Chris’s house with family and friends. He was very responsive to any questions and the house was stocked with everything needed. The location is amazing right in town. We loved that we could walk to restaurants and to get coffee. The ride to ski at Hunter Mountain was easy and quick. We also had so much fun playing shuffle board.
This house was perfect for a ski weekend with friends! It is very clean and conveniently located near restaurants, coffee shops, and the mountain. We had a great time at this house and Chris was an amazing host. He was very good with communication. We loved the downstairs of the house with all the different game options. We would 100% rent this house in the future if we come back to ski at Hunter. Thanks Chris for such a great stay!
We returned here a second time as a larger group to help with childcare while we worked from home in the pandemic. The experience was everything we had hoped for and more. The house has everything needed and feels good to live in. Great for alone time and mixing with the group. Perfect internet connection for work. Located close to all essential amenities and surrounded by wonderful beauty spots within walking distance and a short drive away. Can easily imagine it providing a wonderful vacation space too. Kids were very happy there and host was superb - available as and when needed but by no means invasive - the perfect balance all round.

Weekend Ski Trip
I brought my family to Tannersville for a ski weekend at Windham Mountain. Pros:
The kids really enjoyed the pool table and shuffleboard table in the basement, as well as the bunk beds in one of the rooms. The house is cozy and very conveniently located on a main road in the middle of Tannersville, within walking distance to several local restaurants. Chris the owner was very communicative and responsive, great to work with. Cons: The driveway is the only parking area and it is not useable if there is snow, ice, frost or rain during your stay, which means you may need to park on the street or in a town parking lot some distance away. The Main Street frontage tends to be noisy.

Thank you for the nice review The house is on Main St The driveway slopes down and is difficult in icy conditions There is always open parking right in front of the house on the street
This property was clean and the host was super responsive, so overall I’d say it was a nice stay. Kids and adults had a blast in the basement (best part of the house) with all the games. The bedrooms had carpeting which were shown in the pictures, not my preference. My biggest con about this property is that it looked nothing like the pictures. Great photography, but deceptive. The house is on a lot with abandoned properties surrounding it.
As stated above overall a good stay, just not as nice as pictured. Most importantly the house was clean without a doubt, and the host was super helpful and responsive.

Thank you for the review The house next door has been bought early word is a pizza place is going up All the other houses in the area are occupied As far as the pictures I’m not sure what you meant
Overall the house was very nice. The pool table, shuffle board, and darts in the basement kept the kids more than occupied at the times where we weren't at the local lake kayaking on our inflatables and fishing, or playing on the beach sand. Kids caught a ton of frogs and had a blast. Chris was very reachable and helped us out when we hit a couple of out of the ordinary bumps in the road. It was a bit hotter than usual during the day, the place would probably do better with one air conditioner that could stay on during day hours and it would likely make it a bit more comfortable. Overall a great stay! Central to many of the areas in town we were looking to be allowed for quick and easy access to those points of interest. Small hiccup on the way out, we forgot a couple of non-essential items and found out that something was discarded by the cleaning lady which was a bit to our surprise, but, and Chris offered compensation. We didn't take it because we were more interested in the items themselves, but this did not effect our overall review of his place. We would stay here again.

Thank you for the nice review. The issue with the maids has been addressed and In the future I will be informed of all items that have been left before any action is taken.
Also, the house is at an elevation of 2000 ft, and located on a mountain top. Under normal circumstances the house is very cool and breezy. During extreme heat waves the upstairs can be A little hot but that is not the norm. Additional fans have been purchased for every bedroom for that 1 week a summer that it gets that hot
Chris was a great host. The place was clean, spacious, well kept and welcoming. We had plenty of living space and great time outdoors as well. Every member of the family enjoyed immensely!!
This property was perfect for our stay with family that aged from kids to grandparents. The basement was the perfect hang out spot with just about every game imaginable from shuffleboard to karaoke. Walkable to restaurants. Very close to Rip Van Winkle Lake where we enjoyed tubing, paddleboarding and delicious lobster and crab rolls from the BoatHouse. The house was very clean and there were plenty of beds for everyone. We visited during a heatwave so just wish it had AC, but during normal summer weather, no AC should be needed. There were plenty of fans and the basement stayed cool. We want to go back in the winter and hang out by the firepit or in the basement after a long day of skiing! Chris was very responsive with the few questions we had.
This was wonderful spot for a ski trip with two families (4 adults and 5 children). Plenty of space and the open floorplan in kitchen/living room was perfect for meals and socializing. And the games downstairs--shuffleboard, pool table, darts, etc.--were a great way for the adults to unwind after the kids were asleep. The location is also excellent - a short drive to Hunter Mountain and a short walk to a number of bars and restaurants in Tannersville. The owner was very helpful and responsive.
We went for a ski/snowboard trip and everyone had a lot of fun. The house is clean, comfortable and conveniently located - close to Hunter and several restaurants nearby. Chris, the owner, was wonderful to work with and the house was well stocked with all the necessities and more. Felt like a home away from home. Would recommend and book again, if in the area!
Responsive, courteous host & well-prepared and beautiful property!
This was the perfect place to go for my dad’s 60th birthday gathering! The second kitchen allowed my husband, son and I to have our own space and both floors have great common areas for hanging out. The location was amazing, the house was clearly well cared for and well labeled and stocked with necessary items like blankets, soap, toiletries etc. The garbage bags downstairs were on the small side. There were some larger ones upstairs—had I known I would have used those downstairs too. Overall really impressed with the light and airy property, the fun games downstairs and the responsiveness of the host to quickly answering all my questions in advance of and during the stay. Checkout was simple and painless. Lots of gratitude to Chris for such a great stay!
Location was very good. We had 2 events to attend within 5 miles, so good location. Also had everything we needed for meal preparātiem. The lower level was amazing for our teens and kids.
The photos of the place were a little misleading but over all we were satisfied for a 2 day stay.
Great house right in town. Lots to do without even walking out the door. Very clear that a lot of thought and love went into everything. Will definitely be coming again. Thanks!
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at our week long trip at this house. The house is spacious and has all of the games and activities you can ask for! The beds are comfortable and the house is clean. It is also a very short drive away from Hunter Mountain where you can ski and snowboard. I absolutely recommend this house and will plan to stay here on my next trip!
I planned a last-minute trip with my family to go skiing. This house was amazing, Clean, plenty of room and lots of fun things to do with the family.(btw-5kids under 16 and not one every said they where board) To top it off..great location to many mountains, tubing, cross country skiing (this is important with vivid rules) we had plenty of options and walking distance to town. Owners where more than great he had the place ready to go in less than 24 hours. He even had is shoveled out after Mother Nature dumped 23inches of snow the day before. Can’t wait to visit again.
Really enjoyed the house and We had a great time playing in the fame room.

I live in Jersey City NJ and work as a fireman in Hoboken. I try and get up to Tannersville as much as possible. There is just so much to do. It's great that even as one season is winding down, you have all new activities that are right around the corner. I keep pretty busy with snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, snowmobiling, ice skating, mountain biking, hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, golfing and fishing. In the summer after a great day out in the woods I like to hit up a nearby swim hole for a dip and some some cliff jumping. I'll usually try and finish the day off at a local brewery to watch the sunset over the mountains.
Why they chose this property
I love it up in Tannersville. The village is so cool and you can walk everywhere. There is a lake with a little beach a few blocks away, and great for skating and ice fishing in the winter. The antique shops, great restaurants, bars and the live music, make Tannersville such a great place to spend some time. Most importantly the trails and back country are just minutes away and the scenery is just spectacular. Oh and the festivals! So many cool festivals on the mountaintop all year round
You just cant go wrong up here, there is so much going on in every season.
What makes this property unique
The House has a 100 year old refurbished 24' shuffleboard table, So much fun down in the 2 game rooms on the lower level. Tons of games, You know what Hammerschlagen is?
There is also a 2nd full kitchen downstairs which works out really well for cooking large meals for big groups
